A fuel pumping apparatus comprises a pump barrel which defines a bore accommodating a reciprocable plunger. The housing part is provided which is held in sealing engagement with the barrel and in which there is formed a first passage through which fuel flows from the pumping chamber defined in part by the bore, to an outlet and a second passage formed in the housing part and through which fuel can be spilled from the pumping chamber under the control of a valve means including a valve member slidable within a bore. (54) DEVICE FOR DISCHARGING FUEL IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE FIELD: engine building. A device for injecting fuel into an internal combustion engine is known, comprising a sleeve with a bore for a plunger, an elastic means for reversing the plunger; the connection of the above-plunger cavity with the nozzle, a check valve placed in the discharge channel; an inlet port for communicating the device with a low pressure fuel source, a control valve in the inlet channel and an overflow channel 1. However, the device does not provide reliable operation at elevated fuel injection pressures and fuel supply stability. The purpose of the invention is to increase efficiency. This goal is achieved in that the device further comprises an inlet check valve. one installed in the intake port between the fuel source and the control valve. A means for limiting the flow rate of the fuel is installed in the bypass channel. A return inlet valve is installed in the inlet channel with the possibility of the flow of fuel 10 into the bypass with the control valve closed. The control valve contains a cylindrical bore and a working element installed therein with the possibility of sliding, elastic means for displacing the working element in the open position and electromagnetic means for moving the working element a in a closed position.
