A fuel pumping apparatus includes a housing in which is located a plurality of reciprocable tappet assemblies including tappet bodies. The tappets carry rollers for engagement with cams respectively. The invention relates to engine manufacturing. The pump contains a housing 1 with through holes 2 for plunger pushers 3 having guide surfaces in the form of flats 4, a cam shaft 5 for interacting with pushers 3 and a guide device for pushers fixed to the housing 10 1 3, which is made in the form of a plate 6 with wedge-shaped elements 7, while the flats 4 of the adjacent pushers are facing one another for interaction with the wedge-shaped elements 7. The plate 6 is made integral with the wedge-shaped elements 7. The pump operates as follows. When the cam shaft 5 rotates, it acts on the plunger pushers ‘3, which make a reciprocating motion.
