The body 13 is located in a bore 12 in the casing and its reduced diameter end 14 is disposed with a clearance a in a bore 12a. O-rings 58, 62 are provided for preventing leakage past the body from a suction chamber 24. In operation fuel from the suction chamber 24 enters the working chamber 21 through a control port 22 covered by upward movement of the piston 18 and uncovered, to terminate delivery, by an oblique edge 25 on the piston 18. Thus fuel in the chamber 21 spills into the suction chamber 24 where it is intercepted by a baffle ring 53 secured by a snap ring 54. The invention relates to mechanical engineering, mainly to fuel pumps of internal combustion engines. Fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines are known, comprising a body of light metal, a sleeve with control holes and an intake chamber mounted in it, and a piston for measuring fuel supply, provided with at least one inclined guide edge, and in the expansion of the cylindrical opening of the sleeve there is a discharge valve, the body of which is Replen in the liner using the nipple connected to it by a threaded connection, the liner being coupled to the body through a support shoulder located on its outer surface above the adjusting holes 1. A disadvantage of the known pump is that the mounting of the sleeve in the housing does not provide sufficient rigidity of the connection, which leads to the appearance of bending forces during the operation of the pump and to a decrease in the reliability of the sleeve and the pump as a whole. The purpose of the invention is to increase reliability by eliminating bending forces. This goal is achieved by the fact that the sleeve is made with a flange located in the area of the threaded connection and has a reduced diameter in the area below the suction chamber for installation in a housing with a gap. Claims (1) [1] Claim A fuel pump of an internal combustion engine, comprising a light metal housing, a 15 sleeve with control holes' and a suction chamber fixed in it, a piston for changing the fuel supply, provided with at least jq one inclined guide edge, is located in the cylindrical hole of the sleeve, and in the extension a cylindrical bore of the sleeve there is a discharge valve, the body of which is fastened in the sleeve by means of a nipple connected to it by a threaded connection, and the sleeve is interfaced with the body through a pork shoulder located on its outer surface above the control holes, characterized in that, in order to increase reliability by eliminating bending forces, the sleeve is made with a flange located in the area of the threaded connection and has a reduced diameter in the area below the suction chamber for installation in the housing with a gap.
