    1463160 Livestock fattening equipment WIGRO WILHELM GROPPEL VERWALTUNGS GmbH [trading as WIGRO KG WILHELM GROPPEL] 18 April 1974 [5 May 1973] 16913/74 Heading AIM Livestock fattening equipment comprises a perforated floor 14 slidably mounted on a frame 1 above a droppings tray 9. Young birds are kept on the floor and as they grow more floor sections are slid into the frame at one end providing the extra space required. When the birds are at the required size the floor sections carrying the are slid from the other end of the frame, the birds removed therefrom for packaging and the floor sections replaced where needed. The frame conists of vertical members 3 braced by two sorts of horizontal struts: first floor supporting struts 7, 8 in the form of feed troughs, U shaped in cross section with flanges on their open upper ends and floor bearing rollers 18 mounted on their inwardly directed faces; and second dropping tray support struts 5, 6 in the form of lengths of angle iron. The frame may provide a plurality of tiers each comprising the above mentioned features.

    154) CELL BATTERY FOR CULTIVATION The invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to cellular devices for agricultural poultry. A known cell battery for breeding birds, including fixed on the frame of the feeder and glue with the floor mounted on supports with the possibility of moving fl}.     BIRDS separate sections. The cell battery is used as follows. At the end of the feeding period, the broilers are discharged from the battery by moving floor 3 along rollers 4 to one of the ends of frame 1. Sections of floor 3 are removed from frame 1 and the bird is transferred into transport cages. The clear sections of the floor can then be installed on other channels of the battery. The invention makes it much easier to operate batteries when unloading birds into vehicles.
