Apparatus for the recording, reproducing and automatic translation of the type utilizing rectangular magnetic cards with lines of writing on their fronts and magnetic tracks on their backs explored alternatively from left to right and from right to left by a movable magnetic head, said apparatus being characterized by the fact that each line of writing on the front corresponds to two recording tracks on the back, that each upper track of a line is traversed in the direction opposite to that of the upper track of the preceding line, that each lower line is traversed in a direction opposite to the direction of travel along the upper track of the corresponding line, the apparatus being so arranged as to permit a choice between four different patterns of travel.

FIG. 1 and 2, respectively, a step-by-step node for moving text lines and an electromagnetic converter of the proposed magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus are shown.
The proposed device comprises a node 1 stepwise moving text lines per step arranged to provide a visual reading from left to right on the surface 2 of the rectangular magnetic card 3 made on the other surface -4 with recording tracks. A rectangular magnetic card 3 consists of a working layer 5, a thin elastic g &b; polyester b, applied by an adhesion of a compressive elastic layer 7 to a rigid plate 8, such as cardboard, through a compressible elastic layer 7.
The device also contains an electromagnetic transducer 9 mounted with the possibility of translational and return movement relative to the working layer 5 of a rectangular magnetic card 3. The electromagnetic transducer 9 is also designed as a two-track block of magnetic heads mounted with the possibility of connecting and disconnecting through an electronic switch not shown in the drawing. In this case, the electronic switch is equipped with a manual mode switch.
In the proposed device, each text line on the surface 2 of the rectangular magnetic card 3 is located opposite two recording tracks on its other surface 4. At the same time, the node 1 of stepwise moving text lines one step and the electronic switch are mounted with the possibility of relative stepwise movement of the electromagnetic converter 9 at the ends text lines at all times
connected one of the magnetic heads. In the proposed device, the step-by-step movement unit of text lines can be made in the form of a movement mechanism of the electromagnetic transducer 9. The step-step peremetseni step on the text lines step can also be made in the form of a movement mechanism of a rectangular magnetic card 3,
The proposed device provides magnetic recording or reproduction of information corresponding to text strings, as well as reproduction of the corresponding translation. The device also provides continuous playback of all tracks of the recording, as well as recording and playback of the text and its translation or question and answer to it.
The use of the invention greatly simplifies the maintenance of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus.

1. Magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus comprising an electromagnetic transducer mounted with the possibility of progressive-return movement and a step-by-step displacement unit of text lines arranged to provide a visual reading from left to right on the surface of a rectangular magnetic card made on another surface recording tracks, and an electronic switch, characterized in that, in order to simplify the maintenance of the device, the electromagnetic converter is n in the form of a two-track block of magnetic heads mounted with the possibility of connecting and disconnecting by means of an electronic switch equipped with a manual mode switch each text line placed against two recording tracks, with the text lines and the electronic switch of Euvana with the possibility of relative stepwise movement of the electromagnetic converter on the conitax of text strings when one of the magnetic heads is constantly connected, with The possibility of a relative stepwise movement of the electromagnetic converter from the left ends of text lines and switching from one magnetic head to another from the right ends of text lines and with the possibility of switching from one magnetic head to another from one end of text lines, relative to the stepwise movement of electrons a magnetic converter from each other end of the text lines, a subsequent translational movement of the electromagnetic converter, and a reverse switching of the magnetic heads. 2.
