1497160 Heating fabrics, fibres and yarns DAWSON INTERNATIONAL Ltd 29 April 1976 [21 May 1975] 21924/75 Headings DIF and D1S Dyes and other chemicals are fixed in textile fibres in the form of loose aggregate, tops slubbing, tow, yarn or fabric by continuously conveying the fibres, which have been wetted with dye or other chemical substance, through a closely confining tube 8 located between electrodes 4, 5 between which a radio frequency field is created in the tube 8 to effect heating of the fibres. As shown in Fig. 1 two pairs of flat parallel plate electrodes 4, 5 are connected to 15 kilowatt radio frequency (27.12 MHz) generators 1. The tube 8 has a rectangular crosssection and is made of armoured glass or polypropylene. Perforated or solid driven conveyor belts 6, 7 pass partly through the tube 8 to feed the fibres therethrough and are made of glass fibre coated with polytetrafluoroethylene. Dye or chemical from a tank 9, Fig. 3 is transferred by a belt 10 to the fibres as the latter are fed by a chute 18 to a mangle comprising drums 11, 12. The belt 10 passing over the drum 12. If the fibres are in the form of loose fibres, Fig. 3 contained in a volumetric hopper 13, they are fed by a belt conveyor 14 to an elevator 15, stripped therefrom by a wheel 16 and fed by a belt 17 to the chute 18. A device to detect and remove metal particles may precede the chute 18. If the fibres are in the form of tops, Fig. 4 (not shown), they are fed from cans (19) and over a table (20) and a roller (21) to the chute (18). Yarns from cones 23, Fig. 5 on a creel 22 pass upwardly to and along a frame 24 to the chute 18 Fabric or carpet on a spool (26), Fig. 6 (not shown), mounted on a floating carriage (25) is guided by rollers (27) into the chute (18).

t. The invention relates to the textile industry, in particular to the processing of textile materials with radio wave energy. A device for fixing dye on fibers of textile materials, containing a tube with electrodes connected to it and conveyor belts for moving materials, is known. However, in a known device it is not strong enough fastener fastened to textile fibers. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of fixing the dye. The goal is achieved by the fact that the device has a housing, and the tubes and conveyor belts are located in the housing, with the workers of the conveyor belts placed in the tube. FIG. 1 shows a schematic side view of the device, FIG. 2 diagram of the device, top view. The device comprises a tube 1, to which two pairs are connected. top 2 and bottom 3 flat electrodes. Tube 1 has a rectangular cross section — a length of .84 m, a width of 1 m, and a height of 0.07 m; it is made of reinforced glass or propylene. The device also contains transport belts 4 and 5 for transporting materials. Conveyor belts 4 and 5 are driven continuously by a drive (not shown) and are made of polytetrafluoroethylene-coated glass fiber. Tube 1 and conveyor belts 4 and 5 are located in case 6, while the working branches of conveyor belts 4 and 5 are placed in tube 1. For dyeing and fixing the dye, the device includes a generator of JTO 7, 15 kW with a radio frequency; 27.12 MHz installed on one side of the housing 6, having control panels 8 on the other side,. When the device is in operation, it is necessary to ensure that the wetted fibrous material fills tube 1 in width and depth so that the flow, which is uniformly generated by the transfer of radio frequency energy, is under pressure, it is not possible to easily exit the short-circuited ends of tube 1. A device for fixing dye on fibers of textile materials containing a tube with electrodes connected to it and conveyor belts for moving materials, characterized in that, in order to improve the quality of fixing the dye, it has a body, and the tube and conveyor belts are located in the case, working branches of conveyor belts are placed in the tube.
