As shown the cans are pushed along curved guides 12 interconnecting the work stations at which tools, e.g. a press and die, act vertically. In the case where the tools act horizontally, the stations are connected by upwardly arcuate guides against which the cans are urged by the jets. The jets may be controlled by valves or baffles and may be pivotally mounted. Intermediate stations may be provided. At the work stations the cans are located against members 8a-8d by jets from nozzles 10a-10d. The invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used in cases involving the multi-transition processing of workpieces, semi-finished products having an equivalent size in height, i.e. in multi-point presses. A known method of transporting blanks in multi-stage presses consists in sequentially moving the blanks from one position to another and fixing them at these positions tl. However, the known method with low productivity does not exclude damage to the workpieces when moving, especially thin-walled ones. The purpose of the invention is to increase productivity and avoid damage to the workpieces when moving. For this, each workpiece at the end of the process of its processing is reported to move by means of a jet of a mixture of liquids or a mixture of liquid and gas supplied from at least one conveying nozzle. The method is illustrated in the drawing. The workpiece 1, which has arrived at the processing position, is fixed, then the punch molds it, after which the extractor acts on the workpiece, bringing it to the transport plane. As the workpiece ONLY reaches this plane through the transport nozzle 2, located at each Processing position, it acts on the jet of a mixture of liquids or a mixture of liquid and gas and transfers the workpiece to the next position of processing. If the next machining position is at a great distance, then the required number of transport nozzles should be placed between the NIS; to follow the processing position. The proposed method allows to significantly increase productivity, since moving transport masses, for example, carriages, are excluded. The advantage of this method is that it can be used to cool and lubricate emulsions in the machine as a mixture, but this does not in any way preclude the use of tap water or a mixture of water and air.
