The 0.3-2 pts. wt. of (II) can be replaced by 1-20 pts. wt. of foamable resin. The mixt. can be used for hexagonal and round leads and for pastel-coloured pencils. The prods. have an even structure, good adhesion to coated articles, can be cut well and have flexural elasticity modulus 30-40000 kp/cm2. A microporous structure can be achieved in 2 consecutive steps. Pencil mfr. takes place without waste, cheaply, with savings in wood and labour.
