    The gripper works as follows. When meeting inside the feed and receiving grips, the last, the entrance to the feed gripper, pulls the weft thread (P) with a hook 3, which is directed inside the clamp between the profile end 6 of the rod 5 and the inner surface of the hook 3, where under the action of the spring 10. In the reverse movement of the rapier, the weft thread is laid through the throat.
    When exiting the throat, the gripper meets a slide 12 on its way, under the influence of which the weft thread is released from the clamp.
    Due to the longitudinal arrangement of the axis of the rotary rod and the placement of the supports at its ends, the accuracy of its movements is achieved and vibrations are eliminated during its operation. This makes it possible to increase the reliability of laying the weft yarn through the shed of the loom.
