专利摘要:
A single-unit translucent plate is used as light distributor in conjunction with a liquid crystal display. The translucent plate is fixed to the rear of the liquid crystal cell and the surface facing the liquid crystal cell is roughened. The plate (1) has a thickened narrow side (12) in which the light source (2) is arranged in a cub-out (13). The surface (4) not facing the liquid crystal cell (3) is smooth and provided with a diffuse reflector (5) with texture or roughened and with a reflecting reflector (5). Part of the surfaces surrounding the light source (2) is covered with a diffuse reflecting, non-metallic coating.

专利说明:

The invention relates to the field of optoelectronics, in particular, to information display devices using as a working medium light-modulating materials, in particular liquid crystals ( 5 ).
It is known that one of the problems when using liquid crystal devices is the problem of satisfactory lighting, which provides a sufficiently high 10 contrast ratio, wide viewing angles, minimal energy consumption for lighting, and the ability to read indicator readings c. in the dark. The problem of lighting the liquid crystal indicators 15 is solved in various ways.
A liquid crystal indicator is known in which the lighting system consists of a illuminator (incandescent lamp) that is outside the observer's field of view and a light guide element composed of a plurality of parallel oblique mirror-reflecting strips (“microblinds”). The light guide element directs the light from the illuminator to the 25th layer of the LC, which, depending on the control voltage, either transmits it or scatters it [1].
A disadvantage of the known lighting system is the complexity of the design, 30 large dimensions of the system (volume of the structure).
The closest in technical essence and the achieved effect to the invention is a device containing a board located close to and behind the liquid crystal display. The board is made in the form of a monolithic body of uniform thickness, outside the field of view of the observer, a board is provided in the board, inside of which there is a light source. The back surface of the board and partially the area with a recess is provided with a reflector. The light from the light source propagates through the volume of the light guide plate and, after multiple reflections from its surfaces and from the reflector, passes through the LC layer to the observer [2].
The disadvantages of the known device for lighting LCD indicators are not high enough utilization of light energy and uneven illumination of the LCD layer. due to the imperfection of the optical system, as well as the complexity of manufacturing such devices in mass production.
The aim of the invention is to increase the coefficient of use of light energy, improve the uniformity of lighting 713544 lighting and simplify the manufacturing technology.
This goal is achieved by the fact that the monolithic light guide board is thickened on one side, the surface of the board facing the indicator is roughened, and the opposite surface is diffusely specularly reflecting in one of two ways: the surface is smooth and the adjacent reflector is diffuse, or it is made rough, and the reflector is mirrored.
In FIG. ί the proposed device, side view; in FIG. 2 - the same, top view. The lighting device includes a monolithic light guide board 1 having a thin 2 and thickened 3 part, in the recess 4 of which a light source 5 is installed. The board 1 can be made, for example, from synthetic material (plexiglass), from polystyrene or transparent thermoplastic, the thickness of the board 1 is thin part 2 is 0.4-0.6 mm. The surface 6 of the board is roughened, and the surface 7 is made in one of two ways. In one case, it is smooth, and the adjacent reflector 8 is diffuse, in the other, the surface 7 is roughened, and the reflector 8 is mirrored. The thickened part 3 of the board 1 is coated 9, which contributes to an increase in the light utilization due to the reflection of the light incident on it inside the light guide board 1. Due to the presence of two diffusely scattering surfaces 6 and 7, a high uniformity of illumination of the indicator surfaces, consisting of two plates 10 and 11, between which the LC layer is enclosed, and two polaroids 12 and 13.
The described design of the light guide board allows one to obtain an indicator with uniform illumination, low power consumption of the lighting system, small dimensions, and the design is generally technologically advanced.

and simplification of manufacturing technology. This goal is achieved by the fact that a monolithic light guide plate is made with thickening on one side, the surface of the board facing the indicator is rough, and the opposite surface is diffusely reflecting in one of two ways: the surface is smooth and the adjacent reflector is diffuse, or it is made rough, and the reflector is a mirror one. On f-ig. 1 shows the proposed device, side view; in fig. 2 - the same, top view. The lighting device includes a monolithic light guide plate 1, having a thin 2 and a thickened 5 part, at the exit 4 of which a light source 5 is installed. The board / can be made, for example, of synthetic material (Plexiglas), polystyrene or transparent thermoplastic, the thickness of the board / in thin part 2 is 0.4-0.6 mm. The surface 6 of the board is roughened, and the surface 7 is made in one of two ways. In one case, it is smooth, and the adjacent reflector 8 is made diffuse, in the other - the surface 7 is made roughened, and the reflector 5 is mirrored. The thickened part 3 of the board 1 is coated with a coating 9, which contributes to an increase in the light utilization factor due to reflection of light incident on it inside the light guide plate 1. Due to the presence of two diffusely scattering surfaces 5 and 7, a high uniformity of illumination of the indicator surfaces consisting of two plates 10 is achieved and 11, between which the DC layer is enclosed, and two half-roids 12 and 13. The described execution of the light guide plate allows to obtain an indicator with uniform lighting, low power consumption of the lighting system In its small size, the whole structure is technologically advanced. An invention of a lighting device for an indicator on liquid crystals with a field effect, in particular for a wristwatch, comprising a board serving as a light distributor located on the back side of the liquid crystal element, the board being designed as a monolithic body in whose recess a light source is placed, and provided with a reflector on the back surface, characterized in that, in order to increase the utilization of light energy, improve the uniform lighting and simplify the manufacturing technology , The board is formed with the bead, the surface of the board facing the indicator, is roughened and the opposite surface of the board is made either smooth and provided with a diffuse reflector with textured or roughened and provided with a mirror reflector.
