专利说明:

The invention relates to packaging flexible or lamellar material for the manufacture of containers for food products, preventing the penetration of odorous and flavoring components, and impervious to oxygen and can be used in the food industry for packaging food products, such as, for example, fruit juices, cooking oil . wines.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the material by reducing its permeability and absorbent properties.
This goal is achieved by that. that in a packaging flexible or plate-like material for the manufacture of containers for food products, preventing the penetration of odorous and taste components, and impervious to oxygen, including a base of paper or paperboard and a barrier polymer layer made on the basis of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, according to According to the invention, the barrier layer is made by extruding a mixture of polyethylene taken in an amount of 20-80% by weight of the barrier layer, with a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, and directly anesen on the base.
The packaging material further comprises a layer similar to a barrier layer of a thickness of 5-50 microns, preferably

15-35 microns. The barrier layer, consisting of a mixture of non-polar (polyethylene) and polar (copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol) components, is a highly effective obstacle not only for oxygen, but also for odorous and taste components, both polar and non-polar types. this is completely unexpected.; it was found that such a barrier layer has a higher degree of impermeability to odorous and taste components than the corresponding barrier layer consisting only of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, and and a layer of such a copolymer with a polyethylene coating.
The main advantage of the material in accordance with the present invention is that in it the ability to withstand a surprisingly high degree of reliability to retain both oxygen and taste and odorous components is maintained even at such a high polyethylene content as 80% based on the weight of the barrier layer. The consequence of this substantial dilution of the relatively more expensive component of the barrier layer (ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer) with the cheaper component (polyethylene) is the lower cost of the material in accordance with the present invention compared to the material comprising the barrier layer of a pure ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. In addition, due to the high content of polyethylene in the material in accordance with the present invention, it has a sufficiently high heat seal, which makes it easy to produce from it using conventional heat seal packaging technology, with mechanically strong and reliable seams.
As already noted, the content of polyethylene in the barrier layer can reach up to about 80 wt.%. On the other hand, however, it should not be less than 20 wt.%, So that * the barrier layer would reliably prevent the penetration of odorous and taste components through it. Ideally, the content of polyethylene in the barrier layer is 50-80 wt.%. Preferably, the polyethylene content is about 60 wt.%.
If it is necessary to increase the degree of impermeability of the material with respect to oxygen, it can be equipped with an additional barrier layer. Such a need may, for example, arise when using the proposed material for the manufacture of packaging for storing sensitive to oxygen and odor foods, such as citrus juices or other fruit juices, for a long time and not needing storage during cooling. The additional barrier layer also consists of a mixture of polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol,
In FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view of packaging material 1 intended for the manufacture of single packaging for products such as fruit juices, cooking oil, wines and other food products sensitive to oxygen and odors. This material includes a hard but bendable layer of a base 2 made of paper or paper board, which on one side (corresponding to the outside of the finished package) is covered with a layer 3 of polyethylene or a waterproof, preferably heat-sealable, thermoplastic material. On the other hand, the base layer is bonded through a layer of a suitable binder 4. · for example, polyethylene, with a layer 5 acting as a barrier to oxygen and odorous and taste components and consisting of a mixture of polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol.
The barrier layer 5 contains polyethylene in an amount of 20-80, preferably 50-80, most preferably about 60 weight percent, based on the weight of the layer. Its thickness can vary between 5-50, preferably 1.5-35 microns. The barrier layer 5 is prepared in the form of a film obtained by extrusion, which is directly applied to the base layer 2.
Packaging material with the structure schematically depicted in FIG. 1 can be successfully used for the manufacture of packages designed to store oxygen and odor-sensitive foods, for example fruit juices, which should preferably be stored under refrigeration.
. In FIG. 2 schematically shows a cross-section of material 6 for the manufacture of disposable packages intended for storing the above-mentioned categories of products sensitive to oxygen and odors. Similarly to material 1 in accordance with FIG. 1, material 6 also includes a base layer 7 of paper or paper board, which on one side (corresponding to the outer side of the finished packaging) has a coating 8 of polyethylene or other suitable waterproof, preferably heat-sealable, thermoplastic material. On the other hand (corresponding to the inner side of the finished package), the base layer 7 is covered with a layer 9, which acts as a barrier to oxygen and odorous and food components and consisting of a mixture of polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol. Material 6 differs from material 1 in that between the base layer 7 and the barrier layer 9 there is an additional layer 10 of material with low oxygen permeability. This additional barrier, the layer with respect to oxygen, is located between two layers 11 and 12 of a suitable binder, which reliably bind it to the base layer 7 and the outer layer 9, which is barrier to oxygen and odorous and taste components.
Barrier with respect to oxygen, odorous and flavoring components layer 9. similar to the barrier layer 5 in material 1, and is made of a mixture of polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol with a polyethylene content of 20-80, preferably 50-80, most preferably about 40 wt.% by weight of the mixture. Its thickness is 5-50, preferably '15-35 microns.
The additional oxygen barrier layer 10 preferably also consists of a mixture of polyethylene and a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol and, with respect to the thickness composition, can be identical to the oxygen barrier, odorous and taste components of layer 9. It can, however, be made of another material. low oxygen permeability.
Material 6, which, due to the presence of an additional oxygen barrier layer 10 in it, has a higher oxygen impermeability, can be used, in particular, for the manufacture of packages for relatively long storage, moreover, it is necessary for cooling, sensitive to oxygen, odorous and flavoring components of products .
As already noted, the material in accordance with the present invention can be used for the manufacture of disposable packaging using modern packaging high-speed machines from a roll of pre-prepared sheets or blanks in which the finished packages are molded, filled and sealed. To obtain packages, for example, of sheets, the two longitudinal ends of the sheet are connected to each other to form a tube, which is then filled with the desired product. After this, the tube is divided into two separate packages by repeated flat pressing and sealing of the tube along a narrow zone in the direction perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. Separate packages are separated by cutting along the transverse sealing zones and give them the final shape, usually a parallelepiped, by an additional operation, during which the triangular corners of the double-walled packages are folded and welded to the outside of the package.
