In a combination which includes a fuel injection unit and a cylinder of a diesel engine provided with a cover, and formed with a fuel bore communicating with a suction chamber, a piston is reciprocally moving within the cylinder, and is provided with a slanted front and rear control edge for regulating the quantity of fuel. The cylinder and piston define piston- and cylinder-surfaces separated from each other by a very small clearance, and are movable relative to each other; an injection nozzle includes a spring-loaded needle, a common casing houses the piston and the cylinder, a securing flange is disposed between the fuel bore and an end of the cylinder facing the cover, a tensioning device stresses the securing flange against the cover, and the piston, during its stroke, passes over the fuel bore. The improvement includes a cylindrically offset recess formed within a region of the securing flange on the cylinder surface, and the front control edge of the piston is formed with a first step-like recess with respect to the piston-surface. 113 FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a diesel engine for use in a diesel fuel system. The aim of the invention is to improve the process of fuel injection and increase the efficiency of injection pressure at a decrease in the pressure in the plunger pump. FIG. 1 shows the proposed unit, the look of the view, in FIG. 2 is the same longitudinal section; FIG. 3; a partial longitudinal section of an assembly having a stepped shoulder of a control edge of a plunger made in the form of a truncated cone surface; FIG. 4 - the same, with a stepped mustache, stupid labyrinthine cross-section. The unit contains plunzht.r 1 held by the coil spring 2 in the upper position in the pump 3 and installed with the possibility of longitudinal movement in the cylinder 4, which has an installation flange 5 at its lower end. The fastener 34 in the form of a pressure cup serves to secure the fuel injection unit to the diesel cylinder head (not shown). According to FIG. 3, the lateral surface 35 of the stepped shoulders 27 or 30 is made in the shape of the lateral surface of the truncated cone 36 or 37. According to FIG. The start of feeding is controlled by the front control edge 26 with step 27; providing improved sealing of the fluid in the plunger 1 and cylinder 4. The end of the feed is controlled by the trailing edge 29 with step 30. Claims (3) [1] 1. Unit for fuel injection in diesel.
