The invention relates to rolling production, specifically to the structures of the supports of mill rolls. The hydrostatic support consists of a housing 1 in which a hollow piston 2 is placed so that a pressure chamber is formed between the bottom of the core and the piston, which is filled through the opening 3 with the working fluid. The hollow piston has at least two support shoes 4 and 5 in contact with the working surface 6 of the rolling roll. In both shoes there are pockets 7 connected by means of throttle channels 8 to the pressure chamber. The support shoes have sealing rings 9 and, due to the rounded execution of the outer edges of the piston, they can be tilted or folded in relation to them and thus in relation to each other and independently from each other along the axis of the piston 2. Hydrostatic bearing works as follows. The working fluid enters the pressure chamber, and the sieve enters the pockets of 10 support shoes, as a result of which the support shoes are pressed against the mating surface of the roll.
