1450946 Conveying carriers for slurry-conveying pipes CONTINENTAL OIL CO 15 Nov 1973 [30 March 1973] 53048/73 Heading B8A [Also in Division F1] A conveyer for transporting a 180 degree loop in a dual-pipe slurry pumping system comprises an overhead track from which wheeled carts 45 carrying the slurry pipes are suspended. In Figs. 6-8, the conveyer comprises an endless track 80 in which run a series of trollies 90 from each of which is suspended a pair of tongs 92. The latter are opened by the action of rollers 100 on the tong arms engaging cam surfaces 93 on the sides of the tracks. This occurs at a lower altitude section of the track 80, so that on one side of the conveyers, the carts 45 are successively engaged and lifted off the ground, are carried around 180 degrees of arc, and are then deposited on the ground again and released. In a modification (Figs. 1-4, not shown) the track is D-shaped and each cart is provided above its top surface with a roller which runs into engagement with the track at the beginning of its 180 degree turn. The conveyer in this case is just a track, the tractive action being provided by the conveying movement of the chain of carts. In Figs. 10 and 11, the conveyer is in the form of a rotor 160 having arms which can be raised and lowered by the action of jacks 163. The outer end of each arm has a cart-engaging recess 162. With the jack 163 depressurized, so that the associated arm at the beginning of a 180 degree turn is lowered, the recess 162 engages and lifts the cart as the jack is re-energized. In a further modification (Figs. 12 and 13, not shown) the rotor 160 is in the form of a circular disc-like member mounted with its plane disposed at an angle to the horizontal. In all cases the conveyer frame is mounted on wheels some of which are driven and/or are power steerable.

The invention relates to coal mining industry and can be used to transport slurry during hydraulic mining of coal in mines.
The aim of the invention is to increase the wear resistance of pipelines with slurry during a turn of 180 when the pipeline is moved between the active and storage sections.

A conveyor device for rotating an angle of 180 pipelines with a suspension with parallel active and storage sections has a 180 ° rotation device which includes a frame consisting of a horizontal element 1 with straight vertical elements 2 and 3 attached to its ends and a transverse element 4 and horizontal elements 5 and 6, respectively attached to elements 2 and 3.
