The paper web separated by the dividing device cannot be removed reliably and without large expenses so that it does not enter the folding machine. The purpose of the Invention is to create a simple, manufactured at a reasonable cost and built in almost in front of all the folder with a high functional capacity of the separation device for the transverse cutting of a moving paper web. The separation device should not take up much space so that it can be embedded in the folder. The risk of accidents from the separation knife, as well as the possibility of pinching it, must be established, and the number of structural elements to be worn out is reduced. At the same time, without special expenses, it must be guaranteed that the paper web arriving before the shutdown of the machine does not go back into the folder. To achieve this goal, the shaft with a gap that is slightly longer than the width of the paper web is located between the walls of the machine so that the level of the moving paper web is on all sides in the middle of the gap, approximately on the axis of rotation of the shaft. The shaft is locked and disengaged through a single torsion spring located on the axles of the shaft, in the tensioned state and in the tensioned state behind the anvil, fixed on the axles of the shaft with a rod connected to the electromagnet. The knife stays stationary during the separation process and the blade hits the cutting edge, thus cutting off, so that the special guide of the separation knife disappears and malfunction due to pinching is impossible.
