Periodically operating pressure filter for the concentration of a solid matter suspension, comprising a filtering tank with an input conduit for introducing the suspension to be filtered under pressure, and a drain conduit for removal of the concentrated sludge, and a number of filtering elements suspended from the ceiling, through which the filtrate flows and which are internally in communication with a filtrate collecting tank located above and which thereby collect sludge on their outer surface. The sludge has been arranged to be periodically detached by making the pressure inside the filtering element higher than on its outside. The filtrate is under atmospheric pressure in the collecting tank. eleven This invention relates to pressure batch filters designed to separate solids from a slurry and can be used to filter white liquid from known milk in the manufacture of synthetic fertilizers on sulphate cellulose waters, as well as in other industries. The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the filter in operation. FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section filter; in fig. 2 shows section A-A in FIG. one. The filter includes a housing 1 divided by a partition 2 with filtering elements 3 into the upper chamber 4 with openings 5 for draining the filtrate and the lower filtration chamber 6. Radial vertical partitions 7 are installed in the upper chamber 4, which divide chamber 4 into sections 8, each of which is equipped with a drain pipe 9 with shut-off valves 10. The pipelines 9 of contaminated filtrate are connected by a common annular cavity 11 located outside the housing 1. Part of the chamber 4 on its outer surface is a collector 12 for removal of the filtrate. Each section 8 has an inlet 1E for sampling the filtrate. The filter element 3 consists of a filter casing 14 on which a sediment layer 15 is formed, and the filter casing 14 itself is placed on a frame 16 made of a metal mesh welded to a mirror 17 of the filter element 3. The bottom chamber 6 is provided with an inlet pipe 18, from which down pipeline 19 with a valve 20, which is normally closed, moves away. In the lower part of chamber 6 there is a rotating blade 21, which serves to prevent sediment from sticking to the bottom of chamber 6, and a drain channel 22. The collector 12 has a pipe 23 for filter removal to the consumer, and the annular cavity 11 has a pipe 24 for discharging contaminated filtrate. The filter works as follows The suspension to be filtered enters the pressure chamber 6 of the filter through the inlet pipe 18, passes into the inner 12 a new cavity of filter elements 3, forming a sediment 15 a on their outer surface C. The filtrate passes inside the filter elements 3. The metal mesh 16 prevents the filter elements 3 from squeezing. From the internal cavity of the group of filter elements 3, the filtrate enters the upper chamber 4 divided by partitions 7 into sections 8. If the sample shows that contaminated filtrate enters this section, i.e. if any of the filter casing 14 is damaged, this section is removed from the filtration process. It opens the valve 10 and the contaminated filtrate through pipe 9 enters the common annular cavity 11 and then through pipe 24 to the suction line of the pump (not shown), from where it is again supplied to the inlet pipe 18. As a result, sediment layer 15 is removed and falls to the bottom of chamber 6 The precipitate is discharged through the drain channel 22, and the rotating blade 21 prevents the sediment from sticking to the bottom of the chamber 6.
