The specific examples disclose glasses consisting of in per cent in by weight: (1) 63À3% SiO 2 , 5À0% Al 2 O 3 , 7À7% K 2 O, 11À0% Na 2 O, 11À0% BaO and 2À0% FeO; (2) 59À2% SiO 2 , 3À0% Al 2 O 3 , 7À5% K 2 O, 13À0% Na 2 O, 13À3% BaO and 4À0% FeO; and (3) 58À7% SiO 2 , 3À5% Al 2 O 3 , 8À3% K 2 O, 13À0% Na 2 O, 11Àv% BaO, and 5À05% FeO. Comparative examples disclose glass compositions consisting of in per cent by weight; (a) 67À82% SiO 2 , 2À96% Al 2 O 3 , 6À39% B 2 O 3 , 3À73% Fe 2 O 3 , 14À51% K 2 O and 3À83% Na 2 O; and (b) 62À2% SiO 2 , 3À0% Al 2 O 3 , 7À5% K 2 O, 13À0% Na 2 O and 13À3% BaO. The glass of the invention has infra-red absorption properties and a thermal expansion coefficient of 110 x 10<SP>-7</SP> -130Î10<SP>-7</SP>/‹C.

The invention relates to glass compositions that can be used in the manufacture of sealed tubes for delayed switches.
Known glass containing, wt.%: Si02 60-70, Li, O 0.5-2 BaO 6-12; KjO 0-2; 12-16, PeO 2-4; CaO or MgO 3-5; Ae-O, 0.5-4 and BgOj 0-2 G1}.
A disadvantage of the known glass is the low thermal expansion coefficient of 90-10-1 / hail, which, despite its high de-vitrification, does not allow its use as a sealed switch tube.
The aim of the invention is to provide the use of glass for the manufacture of a sealed switch tube due to the increase. thermal expansion coefficient while maintaining de-vitrification.
The goal is achieved by the fact that glass comprising SiOj,, BaO, K2O,, FeO, contains these components in the following amounts, wt%: SiO 58.7-63.3; Ae, About 3-5; BaO 11-13,3; CgO 7.5-8.3; Na ,, 0 11-13 and FeO 2-5.
Examples of the compositions of the expired are given in table.1.
The properties of the compositions obtained are given in table 2.
The offered glass absorbs infrared rays well.
The use of the proposed composition will improve the performance when the infrared rays of the sealed tube of the magnetic readout switch are heated by infrared rays.
