Electric hollow wall box.
The invention relates to an electric hollow wall box, such as, for example, a switch box, a junction box, etc., which box can be inserted from the front into a through-hole in a wall, with a retaining lens which extends radially outwards and which is arranged at the free edge and with at least two actuators, which are evenly distributed on the circumference 1, which can be operated from the front, which, in the deployed condition of said hollow wall box, can be pulled from the rear against the wall, such that the wall can be clamped between said holding flange and the fixation members each fixing member having an elongated shape extending longer than the axial length of the hollow wall box, and in an axial guide on the outer surface of the hollow wall box! is movably guided and at its end facing away from the vessel holding flange contains a blank, at least a portion of which is oriented transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fixing member, and forms a stop for arrival against the rear side of the hollow wall, wherein the fixing members provided with a toothing for locking cooperation with the box-fixed barbed means.
Such a hollow wall box is known from French patent application 2.566.848 and is intended and arranged to be fixed in a through hole in the wall, which is located at a certain distance from a wall wall surface.
When the known hollow wall box is installed, after the hollow wall box has been placed in the through hole, the fixing members are tightened until the stops of the moldings thereof have contacted the rear of the hollow wall. The fixation between the fixing member on the one hand and the box on the other keeps the fixing member locked in that position relative to the box. The use of cutters provides a series of discrete locking positions. As a result, it may happen that the hollow wall box is not clamped to the wall in which the through hole is made in a sufficiently secure manner.
The object of the invention is to improve on this. According to the invention, it is provided for this purpose that the molding has resilient properties.
The measure according to the invention ensures that a firm and reliable clamping of the hollow wall box on the hollow wall is always possible, regardless of the fact that locking takes place by means of a discrete series of spaced apart teeth.
The invention and further advantageous further elaborations and improvements thereof will now be explained and described with reference to the drawing, in which some exemplary embodiments according to the invention have been completed.
Fig. 1 is a view of a hollow wall box according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken on the line II-II in Fig. 1; FIG. 3 is an arrow direction view P of the hollow wall box; Fig. 4 shows, on an enlarged scale, part of the invented hollow wall box; Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken on the line V-V; Fig. 6 shows a further elaboration of the invention according to the view figure 5; Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of a hollow wall box with a further embodiment of locking elements for the fixing members; Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view taken on the line VIII-VIII in Fig. 7; Fig. 9 shows a further: embodiment for forming a locking element; FIG. 10 is a cross-sectional view taken along line X-X in FIG. 9; Fig. 11 is a partial cross-sectional view of a hollow wall box with a partial range of a fixing member and with a locking element; FIG. 12 is a sectional view taken along line XII-XII in FIG. 11; and Fig. 13 shows a further embodiment of the fixing member.
Reference is now first made to Fig. 2. According to this figure, a through-hole 11 is provided in a wall 10, in which a pot-shaped, electric hollow wall box 12 is inserted. Said hollow wall box 12 comprises a cylindrical portion 13, which is closed at one end by means of a bottom wall 14 and at its other end contains a radially outwardly facing mounting flange 15, which in the mounted position of the hollow wall box 12 is against the outside of the wall 10. As shown in FIG. 1, the retaining flange 15 is not circumferentially mounted but is divided into two retaining flanges 15, 15a, each covering a relatively small circumferential range of the hollow wall box 12, which are diametrically opposed and project radially outwardly, the outer diameter of said retaining flange portions 15 and 15a is larger than the diameter of the hole 11 broken through the wall.
Between the holding lens parts 15 and 15a there are also diametrically opposite two fixing places 16 and 17, while between the holding lens parts 15, 15a and those fixing places 16 and 17 on the cylindrical part there is in each case a recess 18 and 19, which recesses have a dovetail shape so that further hollow wall boxes can be connected to said recesses 18 and 19.
The fixing points 16 and 17, of which the fixing point 16 is shown in more detail in Fig. 2, have a preform 20, which is designed as a closed eye 21 in the region of the wall 10 near the free edge of the hollow wall box 12, and in the region between the eye 21 and the bottom 14 has an open C-shaped cross section, the free leg ends 22 and 23 of which face each other. Extending and guided through the eye 21 and into the C-shaped preform 20, an elongated, cross-sectional flat rectangular fixing part 24 is inserted, which, as shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2, is provided at one end with a U -shaped hook 25, the U-shape of which extends approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the fixing part 24, the free leg 26 of that U-shaped hook ending approximately in line with the fixing part 24, while on the other hand the bottom of the U- shape extends beyond the flat side of the fixing part 24.
For better insertion of the fixing part 24, this is provided at its opposite end with a cross-section narrowing 27.
In order to fix the hollow wall box in the interior of the hole 11, the fixing part is respectively pushed through one fixing part 24 through the C-shape of the blank 20 and through the eye 21 of the bottom forwards, and so on, until the hook 25, as shown in Fig. 2, engages behind the bottom 14 of the hollow wall box 12. Naturally, a fixing part 24 is provided both on the fixing place 16 and on the fixing place 17. The position of the fixing parts 24, as shown in broken lines in Fig. 2, wherein the hooks 25 of those fixing parts engage behind the bottom 14 of the hollow wall box 12, is the storage and pedaling position.
When now the hollow wall box 12 has to be fixed in the hole 11 of the wall 10, the hollow wall box 12 is first inserted through the hole 11, until the flanges 15 and 15a lie against the outside of the wall 10. The insertion of the hollow wall box with the fixing members 24 can be carried out without problems, since due to the design of the hooks 25 with the bottom projecting from the longitudinal projection in an undeformed state, the U-shape of the hooks 25 and the legs 26 extend within the contour of the hollow wall dgos 12 and therefore also within the cylinder defined by the hole 11. When the hollow wall box - 12 is now inserted in the hole 11 of the wall 10 in the position shown in Fig. 2, the fixing parts 24 are pulled forward in the direction of the arrow A, the hook 25 being run up on the cylindrical part 13 of the the hollow wall box 12 becomes deformed such that the free leg is spread outwards and thus lies in the region outside the cylinder defined by the hole 11. As soon as the leg 26 comes into contact with the inner surface of the wall, all this as shown in solid lines in Fig. 2, the hollow wall box is fixed and the outwardly protruding length piece can be cut off from the fixing parts 24.
The distance of the free legs 22 and 23 must be chosen such that the hook 25 and leg 26 can pivot outwards, respectively. Instead of a C-shape of the blank, a U-shaped shape can of course also be used, as indicated in Fig. 3. When a C-shaped shape is used, the range of the hook 2j5 relative to the rest of the fixation member 24 would be narrower according to the distance of the leg ends 22, 23.
The fixing place 16 is in; figures 4 and 5 are shown on an enlarged scale. The fixing part 24 is guided in the interior of the eye 21, the hook 25 being guided through the U-shaped or C-shaped preform 20.
The free end of the leg 26 is chamfered, relative to the outer surface of the leg 26, at an angle α, which is dimensioned such that the free end 28 of the leg 26 is in the assembled position, ie in the position according to fig. 5 runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hollow wall box 12 and thereby fits snugly against the inner surface 29 of the wall 10.
In order to fix the fixing member 24 in the position shown in fig. 5, a locking element 31, which has an L-shaped shape, the short leg 32 of the L-shape, is cast into the free edge 30 of the hollow wall box 12. is bent at an obtuse angle relative to the body 33 of the L-shape of the locking element; said body 33 of the locking element 31 extends parallel to the center axis of the hollow wall box 12 while the tip of the leg 32 is directed outwards and engages the slide of the fixing member 24, so that the tip of the leg 32 is slightly can be drilled or pressed into the interior of the fixing member 24.
In other words, the distance from the tip of the leg 32 to the opposite inner surface of the eye 21 is less than the thickness of the fixing member 24.
Fig. 6 shows an alternative embodiment to that shown in FIG.
In the free edge 34 of the hollow wall box 35, the fixing points of which are designed as in the hollow wall box 12 according to Fig. 1, a U-shaped groove 36, open to the free edge, is provided, in which a U- shaped locking element 37 is inserted. Said locking element 37 comprises two mutually parallel legs 38 and 39, the leg 39 of which is provided at its free end with an angled portion 40 arranged at an obtuse angle relative thereto; this buckled portion 40 corresponds, in function and function, to the leg 32 of the locking element 31. The buckled portion 40 is thereby provided with a point 41, the distance from which the eye (not shown) is less than corresponds to the thickness of the fixation member, so that the tip 41 extends into the path of movement of the fixation member 24. The radially outwardly extending leg wall 42 of the hollow wall box 35 formed by the groove 36 is provided, at a distance from the free end, with a through-hole 43 into which a punched-out portion 44 on the leg 39 engages for locking when the locking element 37 is inserted in the groove 36. Relating to the U-shape of the locking element 37, the punched-out portion 44 extends outward in the same direction as the buckled portion 40.
Above the punched-out portion 44, a further punched-out portion 45 is provided which extends inwardly and improves the springiness of the buckled portion. The leg 39, on which the kinked portion 40 is located, is longer than the leg 38, which is recessed into the interior of the groove 36. The punched-out portion 45 also has the further advantage that - in contrast to the embodiment according to Fig. 5 - the bent-over portion 40 can be lifted off the fixing member 24 by means of a tool, for example a screwdriver, so that the fixing member can be its guide, ie it can be moved or moved in the eye 21.
In the embodiment of Fig. 5, the free end 28 of the leg 26 is flat; it can of course also be pointed, rounded or provided with teeth with which that free leg can penetrate into the inner surface 29 of the wall 10.
With certain hollow wall boxes, the circumferential range of the holding lens sections 15 and 15a can be enlarged, which is particularly the case, when it is not necessary to connect a further hollow wall box with recesses 18 and 19 in addition to a hollow wall box .
As indicated above, the blank can be C-shaped as shown in FIG. 4; however, a U-shaped shape is also possible and, in a particularly simplified manner, guidance is not necessary under certain circumstances. It will then suffice that the hook 25 is pressed outwards in the region of the free edge of the outer wall or the outer surface of the wall portion 13.
It is also possible, instead of using the inserted locking element 31 and 37 on the hollow wall box, to apply a suitably shaped, suitable-fitting additive; in that case, on the side of the fixing member 24, which should cooperate with that mold, a corrugation could be used, in which the mold could lock in a berth.
Fig. 7 shows a hollow wall box 50 with a bottom 51 and a side wall 52. As shown in FIG. 8, the side wall 52 on diametrically opposed jacket lines is provided with axially extending grooves 53, which are bounded by axially extending, radially projecting strips 54 and 55 A U-shaped strip 56 of resilient elastic material, preferably of spring steel, whose legs 57 and 58 are guided into the grooves 53 is provided for forming locking elements or barbs for the fixing members. the body 59 of the bracket 56 abuts the outer surface of the bottom 51. In the unassembled, relaxed state, this body 59 is convex to the outer surface of the bottom 51 by pre-forming or pre-bent by stamping.
The ends of the legs 57 and 58 are roughly V-shaped doubled, with one leg 60 of the V-shape connecting to the leg 57; the other leg 61, which is provided with a point similar to the point 32 or 41, extends beyond the contour of the hollow wall box and thereby acts identically on the points 32 and 41; they become hooked in the fixing member 24. The tip of the V-shape engages in a radially through hole 62 and 63 respectively, while, due to the convex pre-bending of the body 59 and the spring effect achieved thereby, the bracket 56 becomes clamped between the body and the arms 60 of the V-shaped leg ends.
The V-shape of the leg ends is shown schematically; of course, modifications and optimizations of this shape are also possible, in order to achieve a safe, reliable fixing and locking of the fixing members.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 5, the locking element or the barb 31 is cast in the hollow wall box; according to Figures 9 and 10, the locking element 31 can also be fixed in a dovetail groove 65 and fixed therein.
Reference is now made to Fig. 11.
On the side wall 70 of a hollow wall box 71, at the end thereof, a thickening 72 is provided, in which a groove 73, which is open towards the free edge of the side wall 70, which corresponds to the groove 36 according to Fig. 6, is inserted. In the same manner as there, in the outer wall 74 of the groove 73, a rear offset is provided which, for manufacturing reasons, is through a recess not shown in FIG. 11 (similar to the recess 43 in FIG. 6 ) is being formed. A wave-shaped locking element 76 is inserted into the groove 73 and contains four oppositely protruding wave tips 77, 78, 79 and 80; the wave crests 77 and 79 abut against the wall 74 of the groove 73 and the wave crest 78 against the opposite inner wall 81 of the groove 73, so that through these three wave crests the locking element 76 in the interior of the groove 73 is fixed; the locking element 76 has a punched-out portion 82 corresponding to the punched-out portion 44, which engages behind the rear offset 75 so that the locking element 76 cannot be pulled out of the groove 73. The tip 83 of the locking element 76 connects to the wave tip 80, which engages in a sawtooth-shaped recess 84 on the fixing member 85.
The fixing member 24 according to Figures 1, 2 and 5 is provided with a hook 25 of approximately L-shaped shape. The fixer 85 includes an arcuate hook 86, the thickness of the root root 7 of the hook of thickness D-1 decreasing towards the free end 88. The outer contour 89 merges into a circular arc, the center of which MH coincides with the center of the inner contour 90 of the hook 86. The inner contour 90 passes into the longitudinal longitudinal surface 91 of the hollow wall box, which, in the mounted condition, is located on the outside. fixer 85 into a circular arc with a radius of curvature Rx, the size of which should be sized only so as to avoid notches and stress peaks caused thereby. Therefore, the hook 86 with the elongated range of the fixing member 85 forms a V-shape, the V-shape having a pointed opening angle in the region of the root 87 of the hook; the free end 88 of the hook 86 extends along the tangent line, which runs perpendicular to the longitudinal side surface 91. The inner contour 90, in the assembled state, lies against the inner surface 93 of a wall 94.
As shown in FIG. 12, fixer 85 has a dovetail cross section in the region of elongated portion 95, which is guided in a correspondingly designed groove 96; that groove corresponds, for example, to the groove 20, however, the groove 20 has only a U-shaped shape but no dovetail shape. Of course, the groove 20 could also be dovetail-shaped, just like the elongated part of the fixing member 24.
Fig. 13 shows a further embodiment of the hook 100 of a fixer 101 for a hollow wall box 102. The hook 100 comprises an arm 104 extending perpendicular to the elongated portion 103 of the fixer 101, which is provided with a parallel to the elongated portion 103 rib 105 which serves to guide a spring 106.
It is important in the fixing of the hollow wall box, as in the other embodiments according to figures 1 to 11, that the hook has 25 or 86 or 100 resilient properties. While in the embodiments according to Figs. 1 - 11 the resilient properties of the material and the shape of the locking element are used, in the embodiment according to Fig. 13 the spring properties are caused by a spring 106. Such a spring is necessary in order to allow tolerances in equalize the thickness of a hollow wall 94 or other changes over time.
Naturally, a series of modifications are possible without thereby leaving the scope of the invention. It is important that a forwardly retractable fixing member is provided on the hollow wall box, which has a guide on the hollow wall box in the axial direction and is provided with a hook which, when pulled out through the outer surface of the hollow wall box, extends radially outwardly to is pressed behind the wall 10.
