DESCRIPTION:
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a pull-out protection for a profile cylinder comprising:
a cylindrical housing with a front end provided with a first locking edge protruding inwards and a rear end provided with a second locking edge protruding outward, and a key plate which is present in the housing and abuts against the first locking edge, which key plate is provided with a keyhole, wherein the key plate is provided with a front side which is present at the front end of the housing and a rear side on which a raised edge is present at the circumference, which edge is provided with an inside of which at least one the keyhole adjoining part tapers towards the front of the key plate.
State of the art
Such a pull-out protection is known from NL2017257A. A pull-out protection must ensure that when an attempted break-in is made, the turning cylinder of a profile cylinder cannot be pulled out of the profile cylinder in order to open the lock. The dimensions of such a profile cylinder are laid down in (DIN) standards.
Summary of the invention
An object of the invention is to improve the known pull-out protection. More in particular, the object of the invention is to provide a pull-out protection of the type described in the preamble that is even more difficult to force than the known pull-out protection. To this end, the pull-out protection according to the invention is characterized in that:
the angle between the tapered part and the axis of the housing is less than 30 degrees, the thickness of the key plate within the raised edge is smaller than the thickness of the first locking edge, and the thickness of the key plate within the raised edge is smaller then the thickness of the raised edge.
By tapering the inner wall of the raised edge, a breaking tool will slip away and the breaking tool cannot get a grip on the raised edge but can only hook behind the part of the key plate within the raised edge. Because this part of the key plate is thinner than the first locking edge and also thinner than the raised edge, the key plate will break earlier than these edges, so that the key plate cannot be pulled out of the housing. As a result, the pull-out protection according to the invention cannot be removed by prying with a breaking tool into the pull-out protection via the keyhole, so that it is more difficult to force than the known pull-out protection.
An embodiment of the pull-out protection according to the invention is characterized in that the diameter of the rear side of the front wall of the key plate within the raised edge is smaller than the diameter of a turning cylinder of a profile cylinder for which the pull-out protection is intended. As a result, the turning cylinder cannot be pulled out through the key plate in the event of a broken out front wall.
A further embodiment of the pull-out protection according to the invention is characterized in that the thickness of the front wall of the key plate within the raised edge is less than or equal to 2 mm and preferably less than or equal to 1 mm. By making the front wall of the key plate thinner than the key plate of the known pull-out protection, it will break out if a breaking tool is inserted through the key hole and is pressed against the rear side of the key plate. This prevents the key plate from being pried out of the housing. The thickness of the key plate must be adjusted to the thickness of the locking edge of the housing that protrudes inwards, whereby it must be ensured that the key plate breaks earlier than the locking edge.
The invention also relates to a lock plate provided with a front side and a rear side with which the lock plate is fitted against a door, as well as a lock hole with a further locking edge projecting inwards at the front side.
With regard to the lock plate, the invention is characterized in that the lock plate further comprises a pull-out protection according to any one of the preceding claims, which is present in the lock hole, the housing of the pull-out protection protruding through the lock hole and the projecting second locking edge of the housing of the pull-out protection is in contact with the further locking edge of the lock plate protruding inwards.
Brief description of the drawings
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment of the pull-out protection according to the invention shown in the drawings. Hereby shows:
Figure 1 shows a lock plate covered by a cover plate provided with a pull-out protection according to the invention;
Figure 2 is an exploded view of the lock plate shown in Figure 1 with the pull-out protection viewed from the rear;
Figure 3 is an enlarged detail of the pull-out protection shown in Figure 2; and
Figure 4 shows the housing of the locking element with the key plate in section.
Detailed description of the drawings
Figure 1 shows by way of illustration a lock plate covered by a cover plate 51 provided with a pull-out protection 1 according to the invention. The lock plate 41 with the pull-out protection 1 is shown in an exploded view in Figure 2. The lock plate is shown viewed from behind. The lock plate 41 is provided with a rear side 41B with which the lock plate is mounted against a door and a front side 4IA. In the lock plate 41 there is a lock hole 43 with a retaining edge 45 projecting inwards at the front side 41A. Furthermore, there is a lock hole 47 in the lock plate 41 and a number of fixing holes 49. The pull-out protection 1 is present in the lock hole and is assembled. from a housing 3 with a key plate 9 present therein with a front wall 9C and a retaining ring 15. The housing 3 of the pull-out protection protrudes at the front side 41A of the lock plate through the lock hole, see also figure 1.
In figure 3 the pull-out protection 1 is shown enlarged. The housing 3 of the pull-out protection is provided at a front end 3A with an inwardly projecting first retaining edge 5 and at a rear end 3B with an outward projecting second retaining edge 7. This second retaining edge 7 is in contact with the inward projecting retaining edge 45 of the lock plate 41 (see figure 2), whereby the housing is secured against pulling out of the lock hole 43.
The keyhole 11 in the key plate 9 in this embodiment is formed by a slot that is present in the middle of the key plate. Depending on the position of the keyhole in the profile cylinder, this slot may also be present from the center of the key plate or a concentric circular opening may be present in the key plate instead of a slot.
Figure 4 shows the housing 3 of the locking element 1 with the key plate 9 therein in section. The key plate 9 is provided with a front side 9A and a rear side 9B, on which a raised edge 10 is present at the circumference. This upright edge is provided with an inner side 10A, a part 10B of which is adjacent the keyhole 11 tapering towards the front side 9A of the key plate. The thickness D of the key plate 9 within the raised edge 10 is approximately 1 mm and the diameter of the rear side 9B within the raised edge 10 is smaller than the diameter of the turning cylinder of a standard profile cylinder, whereby the turning cylinder after the front wall 9C breaks out cannot be pulled through the key plate 9.
The angle 12 between the tapered portion 10A and the center line 14 of the housing 3 is approximately 20 degrees. This angle 12 is beveled in such a way that with an attack of, for example, a (modified) car tire lever, it is not possible to get enough grip on key plate 9 to remove it.
Although in the foregoing the invention has been elucidated with reference to the drawings, it should be noted that the invention is by no means limited to the embodiment shown in the drawings. The invention also extends to all embodiments deviating from the embodiment shown in the drawings within the scope defined by the claims.

CONCLUSIONS:
Pull-out protection (1) for a profile cylinder comprising:
a cylindrical housing (3) with a front end (3 A) which has an inwardly projecting first retaining edge (5) and a rear end (3B) which is provided with an outward projecting second retaining edge (7), and a key plate (9) present in the housing and abutting against the first locking edge, which key plate is provided with a keyhole (11), the key plate (9) being provided with a front side (9A) which is present at the front end (3A) of the housing (3) and a rear side (9B) on which a raised edge (10) is present at the circumference, which edge is provided with an inner side (10A) of which at least a part adjacent to the keyhole (11) (10B) tapers towards the front (9A) of the key plate, characterized in that:
the angle (12) between the tapered part (10A) and the axis (14) of the housing (3) is less than 30 degrees, the thickness (D1) of the key plate (9) within the raised edge (10) smaller is then the thickness (D2) of the first retaining edge, and the thickness (D1) of the key plate (9) within the raised edge (10) is smaller than the thickness (D3) of the raised edge (10).

Pull-out protection (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the diameter of the rear side (9B) of the front wall (9C) of the key plate (9) within the raised edge (10) is smaller than the diameter of a rotary cylinder of a profile cylinder for which the pull-out protection is intended.

Pull-out protection (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the thickness (D) of the front wall (9C) of the key plate (9) within the raised edge (10) is less than or equal to 2 mm.

Lock plate (41) provided with a front side (41A) and a rear side (41B) with which the lock plate is mounted against a door, as well as a lock hole (43) with a further locking edge (45) projecting inwards at the front, with the characterized in that the lock plate (41) further comprises a pull-out protection (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, which is present in the lock hole (43), wherein the housing (3) of the pull-out protection protrudes through the lock hole and the second locking edge protruding outwards (7) of the housing (3) of the pull-out protection (1) is in contact with the further locking edge (45) of the lock plate (41) projecting inwards.
