CONTAINER
The PKP Container is an innovative, practical, automatic, sustainable, effective, efficient, smart and environmentally friendly waste container. This grinds immediately after use and separates both household and industrial waste such as plastic 1 PET, plastic 2 HDPE / PE-HD, plastic 4 LDPE / PE-LD, plastic 5 PP, plastic residual waste, cardboard, paper, beverage cartons, metal (tin) ) and aluminum packaging. This container to be developed can easily be placed in any kitchen, utility room, garage, bar, canteen, restaurant, workshop and public spaces (built-in, detached and industrial). The container not only has the function of storing waste, but combines this with the functions of separating waste and grinding waste into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm. To reduce the waste volume, reducing the waste collection frequency and better collecting the waste separately for reuse. This contributes to the reduction of around 15% CO2 emissions for better air quality and at the same time a better environment. The PKP Container is equipped with 67 technical elements for the automatic separation of household and industrial waste.
The PKP Container grinds plastic, cardboard and paper at individual households and companies. The PKP Container offers every household the opportunity to better separate household waste for better recycling (reuse), with fewer operations and less space required. The PKP Container offers every company the opportunity to better separate industrial waste for better recycling (reuse), with fewer operations.
The purpose of the PKP Container is to reduce CO2 emissions by ± 15% for a better environment. This goal can be achieved by better separating household waste and industrial waste, directly in every kitchen and at every company, whereby the collection of waste can be reduced from 250 days per year to ± 43 days per year.
Issue:
a. The increasing problem of packaging materials;
b. Mixed collection of household waste and company waste;
c. The current collection frequency of waste is high (250 days per year);
d. High energy consumption for separating household waste and industrial waste;
e. High water consumption for rinsing packaging materials, trucks and storage locations;
f. High gas consumption at municipalities and waste processing companies;
g. High fuel consumption due to the current collection frequency of household and industrial waste;
h. High (± 37.5%) CO2 emissions from waste processors, water, gas and energy companies in the Netherlands.
Existing solutions:
Municipalities and waste processors choose to collect mixed household and household waste. The current collection frequency is 250 days a year. Waste processors choose to build large installations that use a lot of energy, water and gas in order to rinse, sort and then compress the mixed waste collected in blocks of 500 kg up to and including 1000 kg. These compressed blocks are then transported to producers of packaging materials and to incinerators.
Solution according to the invention:
Better separation of waste by individual households and companies through the use of the PKP Container equipped with an electric motor with gearbox, frequency inverter, input channel, mini shredder to grind plastic, cardboard, paper, beverage cartons, metal (can) and aluminum packaging into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm and also provided with a unique Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System (PRCLBI system) specially developed for the PKP Container and a turntable with eight built-in waste (recycle) units for automatic waste separation.
Advantages of using the PKP Container compared to existing solutions:
a. Less storage of household and industrial waste. This result can be achieved because the PKP Container through the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System better separates the waste and grinds it into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm than existing waste containers. They are also placed directly in the (built-in) kitchen, utility room, shed / garage or workshop of individual households and companies;
b. Less transport to local municipalities and waste processing companies. This result can be achieved by decreasing the collection frequency. Decrease in the collection frequency can be achieved by using the PKP Container. The PKP Container separates the waste via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System and then grinds it into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm.
c. Less water consumption by local municipalities and waste processing companies. This result can be achieved because waste is no longer collected mixed. The PKP Container separates the waste into different units via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System. Cleaning of mixed waste is therefore no longer necessary.
d. Less energy consumption by waste processing companies. This result can be achieved because waste is no longer collected mixed. The PKP Container separates the waste into different units via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System. Sorting mixed waste is therefore no longer necessary;
e. Less fuel consumption by local municipalities and waste processing companies. This result can be achieved by decreasing the current collection frequency. Decrease in the collection frequency can be achieved by using the PKP Container. The PKP Container separates the waste via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcode Identification System and then grinds it into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm.
f. Less gas consumption by local municipalities and waste processing companies. This result can be achieved by decreasing the current collection frequency. Decrease in the collection frequency can be achieved by using the PKP Container. The PKP Container separates the waste via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System and then grinds it into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 30 mm.
Operation of the PKP Container:
The plastic packaging materials are provided with a plastic recycling code. The PKP Container is able to recognize these plastic recycling codes via the mini camera through the unique and specially developed software for the PKP Container: the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system). The PKP Container is equipped with a camera that records the recycling codes / logos. During recording, a command is sent to the database of the recycling codes on the plastic packaging material, such as: 1 PET, 2 HDPE or PE-HD, 4 LDPE or PE-LD and 5 PP for recognition. (This is the plastic packaging material for holding the PKP Container mini camera.) The plastic recycling code is recognized by the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) of the PKP Container. After recording and recognition, a command is sent to the lock of the loading flap so that the user can open the loading flap, at the same time a command is sent to the turntable to automatically place the recycling unit for the recognized plastic recycling code under the shredder funnel. Beverage cartons, metal (can) and aluminum packaging are provided with the PKP Container recycling logo. The PKP Container is capable of recognizing the PKP Container recycling logo by means of the unique Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) developed specifically for the PKP Container. The PKP Container is equipped with a camera that scans the recycling codes / logos. During the scanning of the recycling logo on the beverage cartons, metal (can) and aluminum packaging. (This is the drinks cartons, metal (can) and aluminum packaging for the display of the PKP Container.) The recycling logo is recognized by the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) of the PKP Container.
After scanning and recognition, a command is sent to the lock of the tailgate, so that the user can open the tailgate. At the same time, a command is sent to the turntable to automatically place the recycling unit for the recognized recycling logo under the shredder funnel. Then the tailgate of the PKP Container opens. The waste can be deposited in the PKP Container, facing downwards towards the shredder's input channel valve. The tailgate can then be closed again and the start button must be pressed. After pressing the start button on the PKP Container, the shredder will start grinding the waste into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm. After a few minutes, the shredder will automatically stop grinding the waste and then the crushed waste will automatically pass through it
Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) are deposited in the designated built-in waste (recycle) unit.
In addition to the options described in points 1 and 2 of this paragraph, the PKP Container also offers the possibility of recycling plastic residual waste. Next to the PKP Container display is a "plastic residual waste" button. This button can be pressed and after loading the tailgate will open. The plastic residual waste can be deposited downwards towards the shredder's input channel valve. The tailgate can then be closed again and the start button must be pressed. After pressing the start button on the PKP Container, the shredder will start grinding the waste into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm. After a few minutes, the shredder will automatically stop the crushing of the waste and then the crushed waste will be automatically deposited via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) in the designated built-in waste (recycle) unit for plastic residual waste. .
In addition to the options described, the PKP Container also offers the option of recycling cardboard and paper. Next to the display of the PKP Container is a button with the recycling logo for cardboard and paper. This button can be pressed and after loading the tailgate will open automatically. The waste can be deposited in the PKP Container, facing downwards towards the shredder's input channel valve. The tailgate can then be closed again and the start button must be pressed. After pressing the start button on the PKP Container, the shredder starts to grind the waste into pieces from 1 mm up to and including 40 mm. After a few minutes, the shredder will automatically stop the crushing of the waste and then the crushed waste will automatically be deposited via the Plastic Recycling Codes Logos and Barcodes Identification System (PRCLBI system) in the designated built-in waste (recycling) unit for that purpose. cardboard and paper.
The PKP Container has eight built-in waste (recycle) units:
- One plastic waste unit for reuse recycling code 1 PET
