专利说明:

The present invention relates to a device for preparing a beverage comprising a device housing with a device space that accommodates preparation means and at least one storage container for an ingredient of the beverage to be prepared, which storage container is provided with dosing means for a controlled amount thereof and to deliver to the preparation means, the preparation means opening into a dispensing body with a spout to deliver the prepared beverage to a container placed on a tray.
More specifically, the invention relates to such a device for preparing a hot beverage, such as coffee in a variety of varieties, tea, chocolate and / or soup. Such devices, commonly referred to as coffee machines or coffee machines, are capable of preparing a hot drink fully automatically from one or more separate ingredients such as coffee, milk (powder), chocolate powder and / or sugar with the addition of hot water. As such, such devices are particularly used in office and other business environments, although fully-automatic devices are also increasingly being used for home use.
For a safe use of such a device in a public environment, it is important that the storage container is lockable; not only to prevent unlawful removal of ingredients, but also to ensure that no obscure components are added. In addition or additionally, it is desirable that a storage container can be replenished in a practical manner without spilling out of it. In addition, it may be desirable to be able to take a storage container completely out of the device in order to refill it or to be able to subject the device to further inspection or maintenance. On a dispensing side of the device, in particular a quality of the beverage to be prepared, hygiene and safety play a significant role.
The drink is eventually collected in crockery, a jug or other form of container from which the product will be consumed by the user. Because of a great variation in height of various forms of such containers as they occur in practice, it is desirable that a mutual distance between the dispensing body and the container can be adjusted thereto.
The present invention has for its object, inter alia, to provide a device for preparing a beverage with which one or more of the aforementioned requirements or wishes are met at least to a considerable extent.
In order to achieve the intended object, a device according to the invention of the type described in the preamble is characterized in that the plateau is axially adjustable over a linear guide and thereby acts on the conductor with the bias of manually liftable tensioning means. An elevation of the container can thus be easily adjusted to reduce or increase a distance to the outlet, depending on the size of the container.
The dispensing body can thus itself remain stationary, which is advantageous in connection with the necessary fluid connection (s) thereof. Thanks to the tensioning means, the friction body exerts a pressure on the guide and thereby ensures a stable and substantially slip-free fixation on the guide that allows a stepless adjustment of the platform.
The tensioning means per se can be designed in various ways, but a further special embodiment of the device is characterized in that the tensioning means comprise a tensioned leaf spring, wherein more in particular the tensioning means comprise a pressure member which upon agitation causes a tension of the leaf spring of the leaf spring. frictional organ.
In a preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention has the feature that the appliance space is lockable with an appliance door, which appliance door can be manipulated between a closed condition closing the appliance space and an open condition unlocking the appliance space that the storage container on a filling side a filling side protrudes outside the appliance housing and can be closed with a lid, the lid and the appliance door being mutually provided with locking means which lock the lid in the closed condition of the appliance door on the storage container, the lid in the open condition of the lid device door of the storage container is freely removable to at least partially release the filling side thereof. The storage container is thus equipped with locking means which are capable and adapted to cooperate with the appliance door of the appliance housing in the sense that a closed and closed appliance door simultaneously locks the lid on the storage container. As a result, the storage container does not need separate locking means, which makes the device according to the invention particularly practical and user-friendly.
The locking means which fix the lid on the storage container when the appliance door is closed can be given different shapes. In a preferred embodiment, however, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the locking means comprise a receiving member and a receiving cavity receiving the receiving member, the receiving member starting from a first of the cover and the appliance door and the receiving cavity including an edge of a second of the cover and the device door goes out and behind which the pick-up device is received from the device door in the closed state. The locking means thus comprise merely a set of passive members which will not be susceptible to interference.
A special embodiment of the device according to the invention has the feature in that respect that the receiving member comprises a protruding lip of the cover extending therefrom towards the appliance door, and that the receiving cavity comprises a free space within the appliance door with an edge behind which the lip is received in the closed state of the appliance door, the lip being completely released in the open state of the appliance door. The receiving cavity can thus extend with the edge over at least a large part of a width of the appliance lug. Not only is the exact positioning of the lip therefore not critical; the edge can thus also lock the lips of a number of juxtaposed storage containers simultaneously with the same wide tolerance. This makes this embodiment particularly practical, user-friendly and reliable.
A device of the kind referred to here is not seldom used in a kitchen block or pantry with a worktop or countertop provided with overhead cupboards projecting above it. The upper cupboards maintain a limited distance from the worktop, while in many cases the space would in principle be an ideal location for placing a device of the kind referred to here.
With a view to a particularly efficient utilization of that gap, a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention has the feature that the cover moves in an at least substantially linear movement over an end of the device from a frontal viewing side to a backside of the device. storage container is received, wherein a wall of the container and an inner side of the lid are reciprocally provided with shoulders receiving one another, wherein a shoulder of the lid is received under said shoulder of the wall of the storage container during said linear movement. The lid is thus a sliding lid that is slid over the filling side of the storage container from front to back.
By starting from such a linear movement little or no additional height is required to replenish the storage container in the device. The total available height between a worktop and a cupboard hanging above it can thus be used at least almost completely for the device which is preferably adjusted to it with regard to a total device height. By sliding the lid over the end of the storage container, the shoulder formed on the lid enters below the shoulder that extends from the storage container. Thus, a fixation of the lid on the storage container also takes place on the appliance side.
A further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention is herein characterized in that both shoulders comprise flanks receiving each other which make an angle with the linear movement of the cover. Thanks to such an oblique course of the flanks of both shoulder which face one another, the lid is self-searching and naturally nestles with its shoulder under that of the storage container.
Under circumstances it may be desirable to be able to take a storage container completely out of the device in order to refill it or to subject the device to a further inspection or maintenance. To this end, a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention has the feature that the storage container is removable from the appliance housing on a filling side and comprises an outflow opening on a side remote from the filling side, that the storage container comprises a handle on a filling side which is ready for operation is pivotable to an erected removable state, the handle emanating from at least a first arm of an arm assembly which is hingedly connected to a wall of the storage container around a pivot axis and which comprises at least one opposite second arm on one of the first arm opposite side of the hinge axis, and that the outflow opening can be closed by closing means starting from the at least one second arm, the closing means in the lying position of the handle releasing the outflow opening and blocking the outflow opening in the erected removable state. The storage container can thus be easily removed from the handle by pivoting the handle from the ready-to-use state to the removable state. Because, as a result of this, the closing means simultaneously pivots into a locking position in front of the outflow opening, it is prevented that any stock present in the container flows out and spills.
In a further preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the arm assembly with the handle and the closing means are located within the storage container. The handle is thus concealed behind the lid and the handle is only accessible after the lid has been removed. Locking the lid can thus prevent unauthorized removal of the storage container.
A particularly practical and economic embodiment of the device is characterized according to the invention in that the closing means comprise a closing wall which is pivotable in front of the outflow opening and that the arm assembly with the handle and the closing means comprise a unitary body which is hingedly connected to the storage holder about the pivot axis . Thus, by means of a single component, both the handle and the closing means are provided. This makes the whole not only strong and robust, but also relatively cost-effective to fabricate. Advantageously, the component in question in that connection comprises a single injection-molded body of a suitable plastic.
The removability of the storage container offers in particular a great advantage in a further special embodiment of the device, which is characterized in that the storage container comprises a bean container for coffee beans. The bean container is thus particularly practically removable at all times, regardless of whether there is still a supply of coffee beans therein. A coffee grinder which in that case will form part of the preparation means and which connects to the bean container, thus remains practically accessible for maintenance and inspection. Moreover, the bean container can thus easily be refilled outside the device without the risk of bean outflow.
In a further preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention is herein characterized in that locking means are emanating from the arm set which, in the ready state, lock the storage container in the device housing and in the removable state release the storage container for removal, wherein the device is more particularly characterized in that the locking means comprise a hook member which, in the ready condition, engages behind a cam and is released from the cam in the removable condition.
The preparation means offer the prepared beverage via the dispensing body from which it can be taken for consumption. It has been found that, in particular, this part of the device is also responsible for the final quality of the drink that is taken, in particular with regard to coffee specialties which must be covered with a so-called cream layer.
To promote this quality, the device according to the invention in a further preferred embodiment has the feature that the dispensing body comprises a double outlet that is in open communication with an inlet, the dispensing body comprising a central inlet part, the inlet of which extends with a coupling part and to which at least substantially identical outlet parts are detachably coupled on either side, and that the coupling part of the inlet and the outlet are oriented at least substantially transversely to each other. The at least substantially right-angled placement of the inlet and the outlet with respect to each other appears to have a favorable influence on the formation of a cream layer with products that require such a layer. The mutual detachability of the parts of the dispensing body thereby also promote a good cleanability of the dispensing body, while the individual parts can, if desired, each be produced in one piece as an injection molded body of a suitable plastic. The latter benefits the manufacturing costs of the part.
In a special embodiment, the device according to the invention is further characterized in that the dispensing body comprises a multiple double outlet in combination with a multiple inlet, wherein each inlet is individually in open communication with a double outlet of the multiple double outlet. The dispensing body thus has separate outlets which can thus be used for different products. This substantially counteracts cross-contamination of different drinks to be prepared and dispensed with the same device.
The mutual detachability of the different sections of the dispensing body nevertheless still allows that only three injection molded parts are used for this, so that the cost price of the dispensing body does not increase, or hardly so. A further special embodiment of the device therefore has the feature that the inlet part and the outlet parts comprise injection-molded parts of plastic.
In order to avoid a parasitic outflow of the product via the separation between the individual parts of the dispensing body, a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention has the feature that the outflow parts and the inlet part protrude and that a liquid barrier is provided between them, and more in particular that the liquid barrier comprises a flexible skirt which extends integrally from a wall thereof within an insertion cavity of the inlet part, against which a plug part of the outlet part formed complementary to the insertion cavity closes at least substantially leak-tight. Thanks to such a water barrier, a fit between the parts can be kept relatively wide and a leak tightness can nevertheless be maintained.
The invention will now be further elucidated with reference to an exemplary embodiment and an accompanying drawing. In the drawing: figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention in an opened state; Figure 2 shows the device of Figure 1 in a closed state; Figure 3 shows a storage container from the device of Figure 1 in a closed state; figure 4 shows the storage container from the device of figure 1 in a partially unlocked state; figure 5 shows the storage container from the device of figure 1 in fully open condition; Figure 6 shows a bean container as used in the device of Figure 1 in a ready-to-operate state; Figure 7 shows the bean container as used in the device of Figure 1 in a removable state; Figure 8 shows the bean container as used in the device of Figure 1 in a removed condition; Figure 9 is an exploded drawing of a delivery body as used in the device of Figure 1; and figure 10 shows an exploded view of a tray for a holder as used in the device of figure 1.
The figures are otherwise schematic and not always drawn to scale. In particular, some dimensions may be exaggerated to a greater or lesser extent for the sake of clarity. Corresponding parts are generally designated in the figures with the same reference numeral.
Figure 1 shows a device according to the invention for preparing hot drinks, such as coffee, tea, chocolate and / or variants thereof. This is a fully automatic device, also referred to as an espresso or coffee machine, capable and capable of preparing fresh coffee. To this end, the device 1 comprises a bean container 10 for coffee beans and a few storage containers 11,12 for powdered additives such as sugar, topping and / or chocolate powder. The device 1 is completely housed in an appliance housing 2 with internally an appliance space that can be closed with an appliance door 4. The appliance door 4 is provided with a lock 3 with which the appliance space can be effectively locked.
The appliance space accommodates preparation means, not shown here. As such, the device comprises, for example, a coffee grinder for grinding beans from the reservoir into ground coffee powder, a water reservoir or a fixed water connection coupled to heating means such as a boiler or thermo block for bringing the water to a desired temperature, a brewing group for hot preparing water and ground coffee from espresso or another coffee variant, and dosing means to take a desired amount of the ingredient in question from the various storage containers as an addition. The individual product streams are led via separate lines to a dispensing body 5 to be dispensed from there to a cup, glass, cup, or other crockery placed on a tray 9 as a beverage prepared for him / her.
Figure 1 shows a typical arrangement of such a device in which it is placed on a work surface 6 of a kitchen, kitchenette, pantry or other suitable space under a series of overhead cupboards 7 projecting above it. This recess 8 typically has a height of approximately 50 centimeters, what a relatively compact device housing 2 requires in such a situation, especially with regard to its height. In order to utilize that space as efficiently as possible, the various holders 10..12 are equipped with a sliding lid 15 to keep it in a closed state during use. Both the lids 15 and the walls 14 of the storage containers are in this example manufactured from a transparent, at least translucent, plastic, so that a current degree of filling of the relevant storage container 10..12 is directly visually perceptible. A suitable plastic is, for example, polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).
The lids 15 can be slid over a filling side of the relevant container in a linear movement, which is directed from the view side shown to an opposite back side and is indicated by an arrow P in Figure 5, in order to remove the container 10..12. or vice versa are pushed aside to open the storage container 10..12 so that it can be refilled while the device remains under the upper cupboard 7. To this end, the holder only protrudes above the device housing with a limited part 16 and furthermore requires virtually no free height above the device housing. At a rear, the storage containers and their lids comprise reciprocally shoulders 17, 18 interlocking to thus fix the lid on this side to the storage containers, see also Figures 4 and 5. The oblique course of the shoulders 17, 18 with respect to the sliding direction P ensures that they find each other without problems and that the cover 15 is as it were self-searching.
Apart from an interim replenishment of the storage containers, it is important that the storage container have been adequately closed. In this way it is not only possible to prevent ingredients from being illegally removed, but it is also prevented that ingredients are added to the containers that do not belong therein, whether or not intentionally. To this end, each cover has a protruding lip 13 on a visible side, see also Figure 3, which serves as receiving means for receiving in a receiving cavity 23 which is located inside the appliance door 2. The lips 13 thereby collectively fall behind an edge 25 of the cavity 23 within the appliance door 2 as soon as the appliance door is closed. In the closed state, see Figure 2, the appliance door 2 can be locked with its own door lock 3, thus simultaneously locking the lids 15 on the storage containers 10..12. The protruding lips 13 of the lids and the inner edge 23 of the appliance door 2 thus form particularly practical locking means for the storage containers 10..12 which require no further attention.
The stock holder for coffee beans 10, also referred to as bean container, deserves special mention. In the present exemplary embodiment, this, together with any content thereof, is made completely removable on a filling side from the device housing 2. To this end, the bean container 10 comprises a handle 31 on the filling side which is pivotable from the ready-to-operate state shown in Figure 6 to the removable state shown in Figure 7 in which the holder 10 can be lifted and taken out as shown in Figure 8. The handle 31 herein starts from a pivot body 30 which comprises an arm assembly 32,33 which is connected around a pivot axis S to a wall 19 of the storage container 10. The handle 31 starts from a first set of arms 32 of the arm set, while the arm assembly comprises on a opposite side a second set of arms 33 from which closing means 35 extend which block an outflow opening 37 of container 10 in the removable state. The closing means comprise a slide 35 which is received between the opposite second set of arms 33 and pivots with the handle 31 from the position shown in figure 6 in which the outflow opening 37 is released to the closed position shown in figures 7 and 8 in which the outflow opening 37 thereby being blocked. Thus, beans are prevented from flowing out when the container 10 is taken out of the device.
As shown in the figures, the pivot body 30 comprises a whole that can be manufactured, for example, by injection molding from a suitable plastic. In addition to the arm assembly 32,33, this assembly also comprises the handle 31 and the closing body 35, whereby play or the like between them is excluded and, moreover, production costs are saved. Locking means are provided on the pivot body 30 in the form of a set of hook members 38 which, in the ready-to-operate condition, extend on either side thereof to engage under a corresponding set of locking cams 39 extending from the device housing 2. This fixes the bean container 10 in the machine-ready condition in the appliance housing. In the removable state, the hooks 38 are pivoted along to be released by the cams 39.
The beverage prepared by the device can be taken from the dispensing body 5. The dispensing body in this example comprises, see Fig. 9, a central inlet part 51 with on both sides an outlet part 52.53 with a multiple outlet 50. Thus, the dispensing body provides a multiple double, ie one on each side outlet with on each side of the outlet. central inlet part an outlet for, in this example, three separate product flows. This avoids cross-contamination between these product flows, which undeniably improves the quality of each product. The double spouts 50 are in open communication with each a separate inlet 55 on the inlet part 51 with at one end a coupling part to which a hose or other conduit for the product is coupled. The central inlet part 51 thus comprises a multiple (in this example triple) inlet 55. Each of the inlets 55 is thereby oriented transversely to a center line of the corresponding outlet 50. This angle orientation also appears to have a positive influence on product quality, in particular with regard to the delivery of coffee specialties which are characterized by a cream layer such as espresso floating on them.
The parts 51.53 of the dispensing body 5 shown in Figure 9 each comprise an injection-molded part which can be manufactured as a whole from a suitable plastic, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, ABS or polystyrene, at relatively low cost. In addition, the inlet part 51 for each of the connections provides a thin and therefore flexible skirt 54 internally by imposing a relatively small wall thickness locally. This skirt 54 connects seamlessly to the corresponding connection 56 in the run-out part 52,53 and thus offers an adequate water barrier that prevents leakage.
The product can be removed from the dispensing body to be received in a suitable container placed underneath. In order to be able to respond to different heights of occurring containers, such as small and large cups, cups, glasses or other crockery, the device provides a platform 9 which is adjustable in height over a linear guide 90, see figure 10. The platform 9 essentially comprises two parts, namely a leakproof drip tray 91 and a grid 92 placed thereon, so that any dripping water or moisture can be collected.
The guide comprises a vertical rod body 90 over which the plateau can be moved axially 91.92 with the intervention of a friction body 93. The rod body 90 is formed, for example, from a metal such as aluminum, while the friction body 93 comprises an injection-molded part of plastic with a large bore 94 wherein the rod body is received. A leaf spring 95 thereby imposes a bias on the friction body 93 which causes a slight skew relative to the rod body 90 whereby the friction body 93 clamps onto it and fixes the platform 91.92. This bias and thus this skew position can be eliminated with a pressure member 96 which emanates for this from the friction body. A particularly practical stepless adjustment of the platform over the rod body is thus possible. An intermediate pass sleeve 97 and sleeve 98 thereby remove a certain play between the two parts 90.93, which benefits the stability.
The guide of the platform 91.92 over the rod body 90 is not only infinitely variable, but also allows the platform to be pivoted around it. Thus, if desired, the tray can be swiveled away at any height below the dispensing body 5 to make place for a coffee pot or comparable relatively high holder in order to optimally utilize a space under the dispensing body.
Although the invention has been further elucidated hereinbelow on the basis of merely a single exemplary embodiment, it will be apparent that the invention is by no means limited thereto. On the contrary, many variations and manifestations are possible for the average person skilled in the art within the scope of the invention.
