The present invention has for its object to reduce these drawbacks by means of a proposal for a method for displaying data and / or checking the functioning of operating means of electrical, domestic or tertiary equipment, with which a real-time display of information becomes possible, and this with a very low material investment. To that end, the method for displaying data and / or checking the functioning of operating means of electrical, domestic or tertiary equipment is characterized in that it essentially consists in receiving, by means of a communicating device, information from at least one device that is equipped with a communication device with which function or state information can be transmitted, analyzing this information through the communicating device, and displaying a corresponding fixed or dynamic image on a display means connected to said communicating device. It is also an object of the invention to provide a device for carrying out this method, characterized in that it is essentially formed by a communicating device connected to a display means and comprising a transmitter-receiver assembly with a wire, infrared or radio communication connection with at least at least one device that is equipped with a communication device with which function or state information can be sent. The invention will be explained for better understanding in the following description, which relates to a preferred embodiment given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying schematic drawing. According to the invention, a method is carried out with this device which essentially consists in receiving, by means of a communicating device, information from at least one device 2 which is equipped with a communication device with which information regarding functioning or condition can be transmitted analyzing this information by means of the communicating device 1, and displaying a corresponding fixed or dynamic image on a display means 3 connected to said communicating device 1. To this end, the device for carrying out this method is essentially formed by a communicating device 1, which is connected to a display means 3 and comprises a transmitter-receiver assembly 4 with a wire, infrared or radio communication connection with at least one device 2 that is equipped with a communication device with which information regarding functioning or condition can be sent. The device 2 can be any type of device, in particular electric, but can also be a water or gas consumption monitoring device, or also a temperature display device or otherwise. As shown in Figure 2 of the attached drawing, the communicating device 1, which is provided with a transmitter-receiver assembly 4 with a wire, infrared or radio communication connection, furthermore comprises a processing and calculation unit 5, as well as a means 6 for connection to display means 3. With the transmitter-receiver assembly 4, which is a radio, wire or infrared technical means, information and commands that are important for the application can be obtained. According to an inventive feature, the data received by the transmitter-receiver assembly 4 is sent to the processing and computing unit 5, which accomplishes the conversion of the received digital data, which forms the basis of the information, into analog data which be reconstructed by the display means 3 in the form of images The display means 3 can be a conventional display means, namely any standard type of display element comprising a screen, such as a digital photo frame, a television screen, a screen of a portable organizer, etc. For example, the formats of images displayed by the display means 3 may be BMP or JPG type commonly used. According to an inventive feature, the connection between the means 6 and the display means 3 is established in an electromagnetic manner by means of interfaces of the standard type known as USB or other connections for computer equipment, or by means of wire or also by means of a wireless connection, namely radio frequency or infrared. Furthermore, it holds that the transmitter-receiver assembly 4 with a communication connection to at least one device 2 which is equipped with a communication device with which information regarding function or condition can be transmitted can also be provided with an interface of the standard type known under the designation USB, or other connection for computer equipment. It is thus also possible to realize an electromechanical connection between this transmitter-receiver assembly 4 and the device 2 which is equipped with a communication device with which function or state information can be transmitted, wherein the connection between the means 6 for connection to the display means 3 and the latter is then realized by radio frequency or infrared or also by wire connection. In the two embodiments that can be obtained in this way, namely with a loose connection to the display means 3 or to the device 2 which is provided with a communication device with which information regarding function or condition can be transmitted, the device according to the invention can be an extremely have a simple form and involve very low manufacturing costs. In fact, in those cases, it may be sufficient to realize the device in the form of a key comprising the three essential means, namely the transmitter-receiver assembly 4, the processing and computing unit 5, and the means 6 for connection to the display means 3. The processing and computing unit 5 receives the data from the sender-receiver assembly 4 and analyzes this data to determine the origin and destination therefrom. In the present case, the data intended for the display means 3 will be used to generate an image. To this end, according to another feature of the invention, the processing and computing unit 5 is provided with a common buffer memory which can be read out by the means 6 for connection to the display means 3 with a view to transfer to the latter. The conversion signal generated by the processing and computing unit 5 is stored in this common buffer memory. By applying this common buffer memory, information originating from an apparatus 2, sent by the sender-receiver assembly 4, and processed by the processing and computing unit 5, can be stored before this information is displayed in the form by the display means 3 of image. This common buffer memory also makes it possible to realize an exchange of information in the opposite direction, i.e. to realize an exchange of information flows according to different information processing procedures. With the communicating device 1 according to the invention, it is thus possible to have real-time information about one or more devices 2 of different types, which are arranged remotely and whose functioning can possibly be controlled remotely. Moreover, thanks to the transmitter-receiver assembly 4, the communicating device 1 can be reprogrammed during use, for example in order to include other devices 2 in the programming for addition or replacement, possibly with a sequencing of the information displayed. The invention makes it possible to realize a real-time display and / or check of performance data of devices, in particular in the field of home automation, and this by using equipment with a very low cost price, using a light processing and calculator and a standard display. The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawing.
