Kimchi Deodorant The present invention relates to a kimchi deodorant for removing odor generated from foods used in a food storage device, such as a refrigerator, and more particularly, when the kimchi is stored in a refrigerator or the like and used in a fermentation and storage device for kimchi. The kimchi deodorant according to the present invention, in weight percent, comprises 95 to 98% activated carbon and 2 to 5% potassium iodide. Various kinds can be used as the activated carbon, and it is preferable to use activated carbon obtained by burning a palm shell. Chemical analysis of the odor generated from kimchi reveals the chemicals that cause the odor. The main components of the kimchi odor are methyl mercaptan, trimethyl amine and ethylene.
