专利说明:
The invention relates to a headrest for a motor vehicle seat. It is known to produce a headrest for a motor vehicle seat, said headrest comprising: • two parallel lateral rods for connecting to the seat intended to be mounted at the top of the back of said seat, said rods being provided with locking notches, • a casing made of molded plastic material for absorbing energy in the event of impact of the head 'a passenger on said headrest, said rods being slidably mounted in said housing, • a device for locking said housing relative to said rods in a plurality of vertical positions, so as to allow height adjustment of said housing, said device comprising a metallic locking wire extending transversely from one of said rods to the other, said wire being movable between: o a locking position where it engages by two respective locking parts in two respective notches of said rods, o and an unlocking position where it emerges from said notches. However, the known embodiments for producing such a locking device are generally complex and expensive, and of reliability sometimes uncertain. The purpose of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a particularly simple, reliable and economical arrangement. To this end, the invention provides a headrest for a motor vehicle seat, said headrest comprising: • two parallel lateral rods for connecting to the seat intended to be mounted at the top of the back of said seat, said rods being provided with locking notches, • a casing made of molded plastic material for absorbing energy in the event of impact of the head d 'a passenger on said headrest, said rods being slidably mounted in said housing, • a device for locking said housing relative to said rods in a plurality of vertical positions, so as to allow height adjustment of said housing, said device comprising a metallic locking wire extending transversely from one of said rods to the other, said wire being movable between: o a locking position where it engages by two respective locking parts in two respective notches of said rods, o and an unlocking position where it emerges from said notches, said headrest further having the following characteristics: • said locking parts are formed by localized folding of said wire projecting forward or backward, • said wire is mounted in transverse sliding in said housing between two extreme positions corresponding to the locking and unlocking positions, • said wire substantially retains its shape from one position to another, • said wire is constrained by a spring means towards its locked position, • said wire cooperates with a button making it possible to move it towards its unlocked position against said medium spring. In this description, the terms of positioning in space (transverse, lateral, front, rear, horizontal, etc.) are taken with reference to the headrest placed in use in the vehicle. When it is said that the wire retains its shape appreciably from one position to the other, it means that it does not undergo appreciably any deformation linked to a mechanical stress which would be applied to it. The proposed arrangement, implementing a simple translation of the metal wire, without deformation thereof, is particularly simple to implement, reliable and economical. Other features and advantages of the invention will appear in the following description, made with reference to the attached figures, in which: • Figure 1 is a schematic partial exploded perspective view of a headrest according to a first embodiment, • Figures 2a and 2b are schematic views in horizontal section of the headrest of Figure 1, the wire being in the locked position (Figure 2a) and unlocked (Figure 2b), • Figures 3a and 3b are schematic views in horizontal section of an alternative embodiment of the headrest of Figures 1 and 2, the wire being in the locked position (Figure 3a) and unlocked (Figure 3b), • Figures 4a and 4b are schematic views in horizontal section of a headrest according to a second embodiment, the wire being in the locked position (Figure 4a ) and unlocking (figure 4b), Referring to the figures, a headrest 1 of a motor vehicle seat is described, said headrest comprising: • two parallel lateral rods 2 connecting to the seat intended to be mounted at the top of the back of said seat, said rods being provided with locking notches 3, • a casing 4 made of molded plastic material for absorbing energy in the event of a shock the head of a passenger on said headrest, said rods being slidably mounted in said case, said case being in particular dressed by a headrest cushion not shown, • a device for locking said case with respect to said rods a plurality of vertical positions, so as to allow height adjustment of said case, said device comprising a metallic locking wire extending transversely from one of said rods to the other, said wire being movable between: o a locking position where it engages by two respective locking parts 6a, 6b in two respective notches 3 of said rods, o and an unlocking position where it emerges from said notches, said headrest further having the following characteristics : • said locking parts are formed by localized folding of said protruding wire forward, not shown, or rearward, according to the embodiments shown, • said wire is mounted in transverse sliding in said housing between two extreme positions corresponding to the locking and unlocking positions, • said wire substantially retains its shape from one position to another, • said wire is constrained by a spring means 7 towards its locking position, • said wire cooperates with a button 8 - here being a push button for moving it to its unlocking position against said spring means. According to the embodiments of Figures 1 to 3, the rods 2 have notches 3 opening towards the front, or towards the rear in a variant not shown, the locking parts 6a, 6b of the wire 5 each having a substantially linear area 9 d insertion into a respective notch 3 and at least one curved connection zone 10 to the rest of said wire. Not shown, it can be provided that the distance between the locking parts 6a, 6b is defined so that the part 6a, the furthest from the button 8, is inserted before the other part 6b when the wire 5 in the locked position. Such an arrangement allows the part 6a, once partially inserted, to precisely guide the other part 6b opposite the corresponding notch 3, this despite dimensional dispersions which may be present in the headrest 1. According to the embodiment of FIG. 4, the rods 2 have notches 3 opening out laterally, the locking parts 6a, 6b of the wire 5 having a general shape of U of which one of the branches 11 is inserted in a notch 3 during the setting in the locking position of said wire. According to one embodiment, the wire 5 has a cylindrical section, which allows it to be easily introduced into the notches 3. According to one embodiment, the wire 5 has a diameter between 1 and 2 mm, which usually corresponds to the width of a locking notch 3. According to the embodiments of FIGS. 1, 2, 4, the wire 5 is mounted on a cross member 12, in particular of molded plastic material, said cross member being mounted in transverse sliding in the housing 4. According to the embodiment of Figure 3, the wire 5 is directly slidably mounted in the housing 4, without the implementation of a crosspiece. It could also be envisaged, in a manner not shown, that the embodiment of FIG. 4 is devoid of cross-member 12, the wire 5 being directly slidably mounted in the housing 4.
