ABSTRACT According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a cosmetic packaging comprising a cosmetic applicator for applying a product including a cosmetic product or a care product. The cosmetic or care product includes viscous cosmetics, such as mascara, eyebrow powder / dye, lip gloss, hair dye, skin care, concealer cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and the like. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the applicator comprises an applicator head retained at a distal end of a rod for applying the product; and a cap at a proximal end of the rod. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, the cosmetic package includes a container configured to hold the product and the cosmetic applicator. The applicator head is configured to be inserted into the container to load the product and transport the product to a surface where the product is to be applied. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a wipe is inserted into a neck of the container to wipe off excess product from the cosmetic applicator while the cosmetic applicator is removed from the container. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, the cap of the cosmetic applicator has threads which can be screwed onto threads formed on the neck of the container. Other engagement means known in the art can also be used to engage the cap with the container. According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, the distal end of the rod includes an interior longitudinal cavity for receiving and retaining the applicator head. According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, the applicator head comprises a first applicator member and a second applicator member, and wherein the first applicator member is configured to receive and retain at least a portion of the second applicator body. The first applicator member has a cavity with an open proximal end and an open distal end. The cavity extends over a whole length of the first applicator member. At least a portion of the second applicator member is received within the cavity of the first applicator member. A portion of an outer surface of the first applicator member includes a first applicator surface having a plurality of applicator members and the second applicator member includes a second applicator surface configured to load and transfer the product on human keratinous matter. In use, when the applicator head is removed from the container, the wipe cleans the applicator head so that an optimal amount of product is retained on the second application surface, and a minimum amount of product or almost no product is retained on the plurality of application elements of the first application surface.
