专利说明:

The present invention relates to applicators for applying a cosmetic product to human keratin materials, and more particularly, but not exclusively, applicators for eyeliner, product on the lips and / or on the eyebrows, eyeshadow or mascara. or nail polish. The invention also relates to a packaging and application device and a corresponding make-up method.
Among the known eyeliner application devices, some comprise a container provided with a threaded neck on which can be fixed a closure cap which carries a rod provided at the end with an applicator tip generally produced by injection of thermoplastic material with a flock coating. A wiper is usually placed in the neck to wipe the stem and reduce the amount of product taken up when removing the applicator.
There are also known applicator pens, which are more practical to use. However, the performance of these pens is sometimes behind that which it is possible to obtain with complex shapes of known applicator tips, produced by injection or by cutting edge felt.
Patent application FR 2 933 281 discloses an applicator of elongated shape allowing the user to draw thin or thick lines according to the orientation of the endpiece.
Patent application FR 2 971 923 describes different forms of applicator comprising a cavity for storing cosmetic product.
The patent application US 2006/249168 relates to an applicator of triangular or beveled shape.
Patent EP 1 229 810 discloses an applicator having the shape of an obtuse triangle.
Finally, patent EP 1 623 650 discloses an applicator flocked in a flexible material of triangular shape having a retention cavity for the cosmetic product.
There is a need to have effective applicators making it possible to draw different lines according to the orientation given to the applicator, which are relatively simple to use and to manufacture.
The invention aims to meet this need and it achieves this by proposing an applicator for applying a cosmetic product to human keratin materials, comprising a rod extending along a longitudinal axis and an application member fixed to the rod, l applicator comprising a body comprising a first and a second branch extending, each away from the rod, obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the rod and diverging outwards one relative to the other, and being connected by a third branch at their end, this third branch extending obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the rod, the first, second and third branches forming between them a cavity.
By the expression "extending obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the rod", it is understood that the first, second and third branches of the applicator member have a distal portion at an axis forming a non-zero angle and different from 90 ° with the longitudinal axis of the rod, that is to say extend not parallel and not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod.
Preferably, the angle formed by the first branch with the longitudinal axis of the rod is different from the angle formed by the second branch with the longitudinal axis of the rod.
The applicator member is preferably made with a fitting for attachment to the rod, coaxial with the latter.
The rod is preferably straight.
The angles of the branches are determined relative to the longitudinal axis of the distal part of the stem. The angles of the branches can still be determined relative to the axis of the tip.
The cavity formed between the branches makes it possible in particular to store cosmetic product, and thus to constitute a reservoir of cosmetic product to allow drawing thick lines without having to reload the applicator with product too frequently, for example by immersing it in a container. containing a product, provided with a wiper member.
The applicator according to the invention makes it possible to easily draw lines on the skin by moving the applicator on the skin or dabbing the skin with the latter.
The particular shape of the body, which is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod, allows good ergonomics and a modulation of the thickness of the line on application. Indeed, depending on the orientation of the applicator, it is possible to obtain different effects and in particular strokes of different thicknesses.
The fact that the first and second branches are oblique with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rod, and if appropriate of the end piece when the latter is coaxial with the rod, allows good wringing of the applicator member during its passage through a wiping member.
Preferably, the applicator according to the invention is used for applying eyeliner.
Preferably, the first, second and third branches are flexible. Thus, during spinning, the third branch comes close to the first and / or the second branch, or even presses against it (s), which allows optimal spinning of the applicator member. In addition, the flexibility of the application member facilitates the application of the product to the skin, because the application member can more easily, because of its flexibility, conform to the reliefs of the skin. The flexibility of the applicator can also increase the sliding of the applicator on the skin, which allows a more precise and cleaner line using the applicator and better application comfort by avoiding pulling on the skin. during application. The flexibility of the applicator member also allows a homogeneous application of the cosmetic product.
Preferably, the body of the applicator member has a maximum width greater than the width of the end piece, as well as the diameter of the rod. This makes it possible to obtain a further spin of the applicator member in its regions of greater width.
The third branch can form an angle between 1 ° and 89 °, preferably between 20 ° and 60 °, and in particular close to 45 ° with the longitudinal axis of the rod. A too high angle is likely to force the user to raise the arm to apply the cosmetic product using the third branch, which makes the application less precise and more tiring for the user, while a too small an angle tends to make the application more difficult and less precise.
Preferably, the third branch defines a product application surface which is substantially flat. This tends to increase the extent of contact of the applicator with the skin, which can improve the stability of the applicator on the skin.
The first, second and third branches can be of different lengths. The third branch can be longer than at least one of the first and second branches.
Preferably, the cavity is through.
Preferably, the cavity is of triangular shape, in particular of the shape of an obtuse triangle, the obtuse angle being formed in particular at the junction between the third branch and one of the first and of the second branch. The obtuse angle of the cavity can be between 90 ° and 150 °, preferably between 90 ° and 135 °, and in particular substantially equal to 115 °. Such a triangular shape allows good retention of the cosmetic product and the obtuse nature of the angle facilitates the crossing of the wiper member by promoting the tightening of the branches.
Preferably, the angles of the cavity, when the latter is viewed from the front, are rounded. This allows, during the manufacture of the applicator, to facilitate the molding of the latter and to facilitate the storage of the cosmetic product in the cavity while allowing good restitution of the cosmetic product during the application of the latter.
The cavity can have three sides of different sizes.
Preferably, the first and second branches are each of decreasing width in the direction of the third branch. The third branch can also be of decreasing width towards the free end of the applicator member. By "width" is meant the transverse dimension in side view, that is to say parallel to the plane defined by the branches. This allows for a body which is more flexible at its free end, which improves comfort during application. Furthermore, thanks to these provisions, the body of the application member has a refined free end, which improves the precision of application. The triangular shape of the product application surface defined by the third branch also makes it possible to stamp the decimal point in the outer corner of the eye in the case of an eyeliner application. Finally, the enlarged base defined on the product application surface improves the stability of the application.
As a variant, the third branch can also be of substantially constant width between its junctions with the first and second branches.
Preferably, the third branch has a flat application surface extending towards the outside of the application member. Preferably, the flat application surface has lateral rounded edges. Such roundnesses allow better application comfort and uniform application of the cosmetic product. Indeed, projecting edges could, during the application of the cosmetic product, scrape the already applied cosmetic product which would remove the latter or make the application imprecise.
Preferably, the junction of the first and second branches with the third branch has a rounded shape. This improves the comfort of application of the applicator when it is in contact with the skin and in particular with the eyelids.
Preferably, the first and second branches are of decreasing thickness in the direction of their distal end. The “thickness” here designates the transverse dimension when the applicator member is observed in front view, that is to say perpendicular to the plane defined by the branches.
Preferably, the applicator, in particular the body of the applicator member, is provided with a flocking coating. This makes it possible to increase the autonomy of the applicator, in addition to the cavity, as well as to improve the comfort of application, in particular by a softer touch of the applicator on the skin.
Alternatively, the applicator has no flock coating.
Preferably, the applicator member is a single piece. The applicator member can be produced by injection of thermoplastic material, in particular of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE)
The invention also relates to a packaging and application device, comprising:
a reservoir containing the cosmetic product, in particular make-up product, in particular an eyeliner, a product to be applied to the lips and / or to the eyebrows, an eyeshadow or a mascara, preferably eyeliner,
- an applicator according to the invention, as defined above.
The cosmetic product may contain one or more pigments, in particular at least one iron oxide.
The reservoir may be separable from the applicator. The rod can be mounted on a cap for closing the reservoir containing the product to be applied, so that the applicator tip can be inserted into the reservoir to load cosmetic product.
Preferably, the reservoir comprises a wiping member adapted to wring the rod and the application member, comprising in particular a wiping lip, the application member being deformed during its passage through the d member. 'spinning ; in particular the applicator member can be produced in such a way that the third branch approaches the first or the second branch, and preferably is pressed against the first or the second branch, when crossing the member d 'spinning by the applicator.
The subject of the invention is also a method for making up the eyelid, comprising the step of drawing a line of cosmetic product on the skin with the applicator according to the invention, as described above.
The line is drawn by moving the applicator in contact with the skin or by dabbing the skin by successively placing the applicator in contact and away from the skin.
The line obtained by applying the third branch to the skin, in particular on the eyelid, by moving the applicator member parallel to the third branch is a fine line and the line obtained by applying the third branch to the skin by moving the applicator member perpendicular to the third branch is a thick line.
The invention also relates, according to a second of its aspects, to an eyeliner applicator comprising a rod and an application member fixed to the rod, the application member comprising:
- a fitting for attachment to the rod extending along a longitudinal axis,
an applicator head comprising a first and a second branch extending from the end piece, the first and second branches being connected to each other by a third branch oblique to the longitudinal axis of the end piece, the first, second and third branches forming between them a cavity having the shape of an obtuse angle triangle.
Preferably, the first and second branches extend, each away from the rod, obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the rod.
Preferably, the angle formed by the first branch with the longitudinal axis of the end piece is different from the angle formed by the second branch with the longitudinal axis of the end piece.
One or more of the characteristics described above in connection with the applicator according to the first aspect of the invention can be applied to the applicator according to this second aspect of the invention.
The invention also relates, according to a third of its aspects, to a packaging and application device, comprising:
- a reservoir containing the cosmetic product, in particular make-up product, in particular an eyeliner, a product to be applied to the lips, an eyeshadow or a mascara, and comprising a wiping member comprising a wiping lip
- an applicator comprising a rod and an application member fixed to the rod, the application member comprising:
o a fitting for attachment to the rod extending along a longitudinal axis, o a body comprising a first and a second branch extending from the fitting and diverging towards the outside, being connected at their end by a third branch extending obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, the first, second and third branches forming a cavity between them, the third branch approaching the first or the second branch, and preferably pressing against the first or the second branch, when the applicator member passes through the wiper member.
Preferably, the first and second branches extend, each away from the rod, obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the rod.
Preferably, the angle formed by the first branch with the longitudinal axis of the end piece is different from the angle formed by the second branch with the longitudinal axis of the end piece.
One or more of the characteristics described above in connection with the applicator or the device according to the first aspect of the invention can be applied to the device according to this third aspect of the invention.
Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will emerge on reading the detailed description which follows, of non-limiting examples of implementation thereof, and on examining the appended drawing, in which:
FIG. 1 is a schematic and partial longitudinal section of an example of a packaging and application device produced in accordance with the invention,
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the applicator member of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is a front view along line III of FIG. 2,
FIG. 4 is a view along IV of FIGS. 2 and 3,
FIG. 5 is a view along V of FIGS. 2 to 4,
- Figures 6 and 7 illustrate alternative eyeliner applications on the eyelid,
FIG. 8 is a perspective view of an alternative applicator member, and
- Figure 9 is a view along IX of Figure 8.
The packaging and application device 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a container 2 containing a product P to be applied and an applicator 3 comprising a rod 4 of longitudinal axis X, provided at a first end with a gripping element 5 also constituting a tight closure cap for the container 2, and at the other end of an applicator member 6.
The product P is an eyeliner in the example described, but it is not going beyond the scope of the present invention if the product P is different, being for example a care or make-up product for the lips or for the eyebrows, a shadow. eyeshadow or nail polish.
In the example illustrated, the longitudinal axis X of the rod 4 is rectilinear but it could be curved, as a variant.
The container 2 is provided in the upper part with a neck 7 in which a wiping member 8 is engaged.
The gripping element 5 is screwed onto the neck 7 but could, as a variant, be fixed otherwise, by snap-fastening for example.
The wiping member 8 comprises a flange 9 bearing on the upper edge of the neck 7, and which can contribute to ensuring the tightness of the closure of the container 2, and a wiping lip 10 defining in the example considered a wringing orifice 11 of circular section, of diameter for example substantially equal to that of the rod 4.
The wiping member 8 can have a wiping lip which is wavy or not, split or not, adjustable or not.
The user can load the applicator member 6 with product P by immersing it in the container 2, then remove it by passing through the wiper member 8.
In the example illustrated, the applicator member 6 comprises, as can be seen in FIGS. 2 to 5, a nozzle 15 for attachment to the rod extending along a longitudinal axis Y, which corresponds to the axis longitudinal X of the rod 4 when assembled therein, and a body 20 having a first 22 and a second 24 branch extending from one end 15a of the end piece 15 and connected together at their distal end by a third branch oblique 26.
The body 20 has a maximum width Kmax greater than the width k of the end piece 15. The maximum width K ma x is preferably between 1 mm and 8 mm, being here equal to approximately 4.5 mm.
The body 20 has a length L preferably between 5 mm and 15 mm, being here equal to about 10 mm.
The first, second and third branches 22, 24 and 26 are straight branches. As a variant, the branches 22, 24 or 26 are curved, in particular concave or convex towards the outside.
The applicator member 6 is in the example considered molded in one piece from a flexible material, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).
Due to the arrangement of the branches 22, 24 and 26, the applicator member 6 is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis Y.
As can be seen in FIG. 4, the applicator member is preferably symmetrical with respect to the plane M defined by the three branches 22, 24 and 26.
The third branch is oblique to the longitudinal axis Y. It preferably forms an angle a with the latter of between 1 ° and 89 °, better between 20 ° and 60 °, here equal to about 45 °.
The first branch 22 forms an oblique angle β relative to the longitudinal axis Y, preferably between 1 ° and 60 °, here equal to about 30 °.
The second branch 24 forms an oblique angle γ with respect to the longitudinal axis Y, preferably between 1 ° and 60 °, here equal to about 15 °.
The angles β and γ of the first and second branches 22 and 24 are preferably different, in particular the angle β of the first branch 22 is greater than the angle γ of the second branch 24. But it can be otherwise , in particular the angles β and γ can be identical.
The first and second branches 22 and 24 are in the example considered of different lengths. As a variant, the first and second branches 22 and 24 are of the same length, but with angles β and γ with the different longitudinal axis Y.
The third branch 26 may be of a different length from the first and from the second branch 22 and 24.
The three branches 22, 24 and 26 provide between them a cavity 28.
The junction between the first branch 22, respectively the second branch 24, and the third branch 26 may have a rounded 32, respectively 34 improving the comfort of application. The rounding 32 between the first branch 22 and the third branch 26 has a radius greater than that of the rounding 34 between the second branch 34 and the third branch 26. This makes it possible to combine both application comfort and precision application, in particular using the distal end formed by the rounding 34. In the example illustrated, the cavity 28 is through and has the shape of a triangle having an obtuse angle δ between the first branch 22 and the third branch 26 and having three sides of different sizes, each side being defined by one of the three branches 22, 24 and 26. The obtuse angle δ can be between 90 ° and 150 °, preferably between 90 ° and 135 °, being here equal to about 115 °. The angles of the cavity 28 are rounded.
As can be seen in FIG. 3, the first and second branches 22 and 24 each have a decreasing thickness in the direction of their end connected to the third branch 26. The third branch 26 is preferably of constant thickness e, for example understood between 0.2 mm and 2 mm, in particular equal to approximately 0.6 mm.
As can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 4, the first, the second and the third branch 22, 24 and 26 can be of widths decreasing linearly in the direction of the end of the applicator member 6.
As can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 5, the third branch 26 has a flat surface 30 allowing the application of the cosmetic product to the skin. The flat surface 30 has a width l decreasing towards the distal end of the applicator. The maximum width Imax of the flat surface 30 is for example between 0.1 mm and 5 mm, being here equal to approximately 1 mm. The planar surface 30 has rounded sides 36 for better comfort of use and to prevent the edges of the planar surface 30 from coming to remove the cosmetic product at the same time as it is applied.
The length m of the square surface 30 is for example between 1mm and 10 mm, being here between 5 mm and 6 mm, in particular equal to about 5.8 mm.
As a variant illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9, the flat surface 30 has a constant width l between the junctions of the third branch 26 at the first and second branches
22, 24. This width l is for example between 0.1 mm and 5 mm, and preferably between 0.1 mm and 1 mm, in particular between 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm. The length m of the square surface 30 is here between 4 and 5 mm, in particular equal to around 4.5 mm.
When removing the applicator member 6 from the container 2, the first and third branches 22 and 26, due in particular to their flexibility, come closer to the second branch 24, and in particular the third branch comes to be pressed against the second branch 24, by elastic deformation under the action of the wiper member 8, then resume their initial shape after crossing the applicator member 8.
Such an applicator makes it possible to produce lines of different thicknesses. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 6, it is possible to draw a thin line L having for thickness the dimension Imax of the surface 30 by orienting the plane M parallel to the movement of the application on the eyelid. Due to the variable width of the surface 30, it is also possible to form a fine point at the edge of the eye by means of the tapered free end of the body of the applicator.
As illustrated in FIG. 7, it is possible to draw a thick line T having for maximum thickness the length m of the surface 30 by orienting the plane M perpendicular to the direction of movement on the skin.
It is also possible to obtain lines having a variable thickness, by rotating the applicator member 6 during the application.
The invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described.
In particular, the cavity may have another shape.
The surface 30 defined by the third branch 26 can be slightly curved towards the outside.
