Pneumatic independent shut-off valve
The invention relates to a pneumatic independent shut-off valve for stopping the flow of a substance in order to close a sudden leakage of the substance in the event of a failure of a pipe or other component of an external device. The shut-off valve has a substance inlet connection, a pressure channel guided under the shut-off cone, an outlet connection, a chamber conical above forming a shut-off surface together with a shut-off surface, a conical , a channel for supplying pressure to the barrier cone, either in gaseous form via a pipe or by means of a mechanical member, a rotatable plug for machining the mechanism and a mineral-based or other substance-reactive element acting as a trigger mechanism for the barrier element. The device does not require electronic components and is therefore completely independent.
Prior art in this type of solution are electronically controlled solenoid or solenoid valves or water flow sensing systems that are electronically controlled by either a solenoid valve or ball valve technology with a motorized mechanical inverter. Sensors are used to control these components and to detect leakage of the substance, based on the fact that, when reacting with the substance, they form a closed circuit connected to an electronic controller controlling the ice system.
The present invention provides a different solution from the prior art and corrects the problem as follows:
The invention will now be described with reference to Figure 1 on page 5 of the patent publication, which describes the operation of a shut-off valve by means of external pressure when the device shuts off the flow of a substance.
Figure 1 shows a cross-section of a pneumatic independent shut-off valve with (1) a body, (2) an inlet connection for a substance such as water or gas, (3) a pressure channel, (4) a shut-off cone, (5) a stem, (6) a chamber, (7) a closing surface, (8) a spring, (9) a channel for supplying external pressure, (10) a plug, (11) an outlet connection, (12) a mineral-based or other substance-reactive element, (13) a seal.
When the substance flows freely, the arm (5) connected to or connected to the closure cone is fed to the barrier cone (4) by means of an external pressure higher than the pressure of the spring (8) either in gaseous form or by a mechanical solid. In this case, external pressure pushes the arm (5) against the sealed cone (4) (4) against the spring (8), releasing the closure surface (7) whereby the chamber (6) opens, allowing free flow of substance from the inlet (2) through the chamber (6) to the outlet (11) . At the end of the external pressure supply channel (9) there is a mineral-based or other substance-reactive element (12) which prevents the release of pressure. When the substance discharges as a result of component failure, for example when a water pipe breaks, the element (12) is positioned relative to the shut-off valve so that when in contact with the substance it reacts by failure. (4) against the barrier surface (7), stopping the flow of substance to the outlet (11).

Pneumatic independent shut-off valve which prevents sudden leakage of substance, characterized in that the position of the shut-off cone (4) moving axially in the chamber (6) is controlled by external pressure via a supply channel (9) by means of a gas or mechanical member. by means of a mineral-based or other substance-reactive element (12) which, when in contact with the substance, reacts by failing to trigger the closing cone (4) and prevents the flow of substance to the outlet connection (11).

A shut-off valve according to claim 1, characterized by a pressure channel (3) connected to the inlet connection (2) guiding the substance under the shut-off cone, which together with the spring (8) presses the shut-off surfaces against each other.

Shut-off valve according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an arm (5) for supplying external pressure is connected to or sealed to the shut-off cone (4).

Any axially movable closing cone (4) according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that its position can be adjusted via a pressure supply channel (9) by means of a gas or a mechanical member.
