SUPPORT ASSEMBLY WITH SPINNING MECHANISM FOR TUMBONS AND
SIMILAR
DESCRIPTION
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention, support assembly with rotation mechanism for sunbeds and the like refers to a support element for sunbeds and similar furniture that integrates, in the same support element, a support structure, which can form a chest for storing objects , a turning mechanism to rotate the sunbed or element that supports 360 ° full turns, preferably in a horizontal plane, without any outstanding parts and corners in any of its positions, also having braking means to fix it in the chosen position, as well as anchoring means to ensure its fixation to the ground and prevent the sunbed from turning and the user falls.
The scope of the present invention is part of the industry sector dedicated to the manufacture of support accessories for beach furniture and the like, while encompassing the scope of the turning mechanisms for said type of furniture.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
As a reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at present, there are, in the registration phase, prototype or as manufactured elements, some sun loungers and similar elements that have the possibility of turning and / or rotating, to allow the user face the sun continuously. However, the mechanisms that incorporate for this, in addition to being exclusively for this purpose, usually have large bases to provide the necessary stability to the sunbed, which, when rotated, protruding parts are generated that suppose a hindrance or , in many cases, even a risk for users who pass close to them.
Likewise, different types and models of chest are also known to safely house the valuables of users of beaches and similar public places, in order to prevent them from being robbed by third parties while not being monitored , for example, to be able to go to bathe.
However, at least on the part of the applicant, the existence of a support assembly that makes it possible to rotate the sunbed with respect to the support structure is unknown.

in the same way as the present invention, and which also allows anchoring to the ground by simple means that provide sufficient stability to the sunbed and with a width adapted to the maximum width of the sunbed itself. Likewise, an assembly is unknown as the object of the present invention whose support structure is used in addition to a safety box, so that both characteristics can be joined together.
EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
The support assembly with rotation mechanism for sun loungers and similar furniture refers, as it has been pointed to a support assembly according to claim 1. Specifically, the invention is applicable for supporting a sun lounger or similar furniture elements with the possibility of rotation, comprising:
- a support structure with at least one upper base and at least two side walls,
- a base plate on which the sunbed or movable element is arranged and linked to the support structure through an axis of rotation, and
- a turning mechanism, arranged on the upper base of the support structure and on which the base plate is supported, comprising at least three bearings, with a sphere each partially accommodating each sphere in through holes provided in the upper base of the support structure, said base plate resting on said bearings and with the axis of rotation inserted in a through hole in said upper base of the support structure,
allowing a 360 ° rotation between the base plate and the support structure that are in parallel planes, preferably in a horizontal plane, and therefore the 360 ° rotation of the sunbed or movable element with respect to said support structure.
The upper face of the upper base of the support structure has a cylindrical geometry recess that has a series of through holes for housing the rotating elements or bearings. The depth of this recess is variable, depending on the size of the bearings, as well as the number of through holes for them and their diameter. In any case, in the center of this cylindrical recess, the through hole, which is central, is arranged for the rotation axis. Said through hole has the function of allowing the axis to pass through the support structure and also to guide said axis. To facilitate guidance and prevent the axis from oscillating on its vertical axis, it is possible for a cylinder to

extend inside the structure from the inner face of the upper base.
The bearings are preferably of the type known as "conveyor balls" or "sliding balls". These elements combine a high load capacity, with smooth operation, small size, ease of replacement / maintenance and easy placement in their working position. They are elements made of stainless steel, which guarantees their durability and resistance to exposure to the elements (water, saltpeter, etc.). The tolerances used in the adjustment of its different components, as well as its location in the set, protect them, to a great extent, from abrasive elements such as sand. The bearings are attached to the hood assembly by means of screws with elastic safety washers and self-locking nuts, which practically prevents the slightest unwanted movement of them. This composition makes this turning mechanism optimal for the intended use in places of sand and wind, since it uses elements of reduced cost, high performance, and ease of replacement in case of breakdown, thus reducing its maintenance cost.
The assembly additionally comprises braking means to be able to fix the position of the axis of rotation and prevent it from rotating against the will of the user, also fixing the position of the base plate and of the deck chair or furniture. The braking means comprise a brake axis that acts on the axis of rotation, preferably perpendicularly, so that when both axes come into contact, rotation of the axis of rotation is impossible. In order for the braking axis to act on the axis of rotation, it comprises a splined section and in said splines the end of the braking axis will be introduced to prevent rotation of said axis of rotation. The axis of rotation will have adequate means to prevent it from leaving the hole.
To ensure that the braking axis acts on the axis of rotation, it is necessary to provide means that prevent the relative movement of one axis with respect to another. For this, additional elements are arranged in the support structure that guarantee the position of said axes. In the case of the axis of rotation, said means constitute, as mentioned above, the cylinder that projects internally from the lower face of the upper base of the support structure. On the other hand, the means that guarantee the position of the braking axis are preferably at least one lug, preferably two, integral with the support structure that are crossed by the braking axis. Said lug or lugs are aligned with a hole or hole made on the side of the structure and which allows the braking shaft to be introduced from the outside so that it can be operated by the user. Both axes can incorporate a safety pin that avoids

shaft extraction.
Also, the support structure can incorporate or form a chest, so that the assembly can integrate in the same support element a chest with safety lock for storing objects. The structure, with or without, chest, offers dimensions that do not exceed, in any case, the width of the element to which it supports (for example, a sunbed), thus avoiding protruding parts with live corners that are generated. they could cause damage to its users or other people who pass near it. In addition, in the case that the support structure conforms to a chest, it has the hinges or guides necessary for the actuation of the door or drawer that it has to accommodate objects inside.
Additionally, the assembly can have anchoring means to ensure its attachment to the floor, thus allowing anchoring to different types of floors or pavements, providing it with great stability. Said anchoring means are preferably constituted by rods of varying length that are driven or stuck in the ground, especially used in the sand of the beach, and that are fixed to the base of the structure or chest, which allows, varying their length, that the diagonal of the structure or chest is, in the most extreme case, equal to the width of the supported element, so that it will never stand out and maintain its stability.
Said means of anchoring to the ground, floor, pavement or sand preferably comprise two types of elements: a frame and anchor rods. The frame is an element whose configuration fits perfectly to the contour of the lower base of the support structure or hood, to which it is attached by means of fixing, preferably a series of screws. In addition, the frame has, in turn, another series of threaded holes to which the anchor rods will be screwed. By using the frame with the rods bolted to the lower base of the structure or chest, the effort transmitted by the rods is distributed throughout the base of the same, reducing the risk of collapse.
The anchor rods could also be fixed directly to the base of the structure or to the base of the chest, depending on the conditions of use. The rods could be screwed to the underside of the structure or chest, preferably if they are made of metal, but not if they were made of wood since they could, with the weight and inertia of everything on top (deckchair, person / s. ..) break the wood.
On the other hand, through the use of the frame-rod assembly, it is possible that it remains permanently in place thus offering the possibility of removing the sunbed-chest or sunbed-structure assembly in those cases where it is necessary or convenient

(at night, inclement weather, etc.). It would be enough to separate the frame of the drawer or structure from the inside, usually by means of nuts and bolts, to be able to remove the complete set of the deck chair and, once the eventuality has passed (night, weather, ...), replace it On the frame, place the nuts, screw them and the assembly would be ready for use again.
The support structure, which can form the chest, regardless of its geometric shape and its opening system (swing door or sliding drawer), is a prismatic body that determines the link between the different elements of the set.
With all this, the assembly sequence of the support assembly of the invention will be as follows:
- First, the base plate, with the axis of rotation already attached to it, is fixed to the bottom of the structure of the supported element.
- Next, the anchor rods are attached, with the appropriate length to the ground, to the frame to the underside of it.
- Then, the frame is driven or nailed with the rods, having previously made a series of holes in the ground, or if the ground allows it, percussing, until firm. In hard terrain (for example, stone pavements), a series of fixed holes must be placed in which the entire assembly can be introduced directly.
- Once the frame is secured with the rods to the ground, the support structure or chest is placed on it, with the axis of rotation already inserted, and both are joined.
- Finally, in the case that the support structure is a chest that has a sliding drawer, the drawer will be placed, leaving the set ready to be used.
