The method comprises detecting a cooking-battery element through a detection arrangement, forming a heating zone adapted to the detected cooking-cell element, a heating element or several heating elements, setting at least one temperature of the heating zone by means of a user interface, and to regulate a heating power of the heating zone depending on the set theoretical temperature and a certain actual temperature. It is proposed that the regulation of the heating power be effected by the regulation parameter being a size of the detected baking element element.
