pillow Box
The present invention relates to a cushion box or cushion box, which is preferably used for packaging food in the fast food area, and which is provided with a transverse perforation line in the middle so that it can be torn.
Cushion boxes are used for a wide variety of packaging purposes. They are usually made from a flat punched blank which is usually provided with bending lines. Normally, the blank is bent and assembled so that the product is made up of two composite layers. When the cushion box is to be used, the outer edges of the blank are squeezed so that it is arched, and then two end pieces are folded in at each end, thereby permanently arching the intermediate piece. In this way, a cushion-shaped casing is formed, the ends of which bend inwards into a substantially even arc. Thus, a box with high stiffness and a beautiful appearance is created. The beautiful appearance and the stiffness achieved make it suitable for a wide variety of purposes. It can thus be used as a packaging for textiles, jewelry and the like. Cushion boxes are also used for food packaging. For example, the website: http://celestialblue.blogspot.dk/2005/10/tiberias-andgolan.html describes a kebab packaging from a fast food chain in Israel. The packaging is designed as a cushion box and is provided with a transverse perforation in the middle so that it can be pulled over.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a cushion box which is improved over the known cushion box especially in such a way that the user can gradually expose the food while consuming it.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cushion box is provided with at least one additional transverse perforation and further provided with perforations along both sides of the box. In this way, it becomes easy to gradually expose more and of the food as it is consumed.
DK 2018 70324 A1
According to a preferred embodiment, the cushion box is characterized in that it is provided with at least three transverse perforations. This allows an aesthetic and practical construction to be created.
It is preferable that the end flaps of the pillowcase be provided with perforations that act as bending lines. In this way, the manufacturing process is simplified.
It has been found that practical and advantageous designs of the pillow box according to the invention are obtained when the dimensions of the glued and folded blank are between a width of 95 mm times a length of the shortest place of 246 mm and a width of 300 mm times. a length at the shortest spot of 268 mm. This provides cushion boxes suitable for different sizes of food products in the area from French hot dogs to large sandwiches.
It is advantageous if pillow cases according to the invention are made of cardboard with a weight of min. 170 g / square meter.
It is also advantageous if the carton is slipped to improve the moisture resistance of the food.
The cushion box according to the invention can advantageously be provided with advertising text, and it can also be provided for indicative indications, for example, it will be easier for restaurant staff to know which order the flaps should be bent into and where the cushion box can be appropriately divided.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which
FIG. 1 shows a blank for folding a pillow case,
FIG. 2 shows a target blank,
FIG. 3 shows the folded and glued blank,
FIG. 4 shows the folded pillow box, and
FIG. 5 shows various folded-up embodiments of pillow cases according to the invention.
The principle of the invention will now be explained by means of an embodiment suitable, for example, for a so-called durum roll. FIG. 1 shows a blank 1 for folding a pillow box according to this embodiment of the invention. Reference numerals 2 and 3 show a first end flap to the upper end and the lower end of the drawing, respectively. They are each extremely fitted with a small cut which is used to indicate that it is this part that must be folded first. Reference numerals 4 and 5 show the second end flap to the upper and lower ends, respectively. Reference numeral 6 shows a glue flap and nineteen transverse perforations are formed, the central perforation being indicated by reference numeral 7. Reference numerals 8 and 9 show left and right lateral perforations respectively, which constitute the outer edges of the blank when glued. together. Examples of perforations acting as bending lines are shown by reference numerals 10 and 11. From the manufacturer, the blank is supplied folded and glued together by means of the glue flap 6, which is provided with glue and bent and attached to the longitudinal free edge of the opposite side, after which the product, which is thus minimal, is ready for distribution.
FIG. 2 shows a targeted drawing of a blank 1. The dimensions are in mm.
DK 2018 70324 A1
FIG. 3 shows a view of the folded and glued blank. Here it can see how the subject can be endorsed with advertising endorsements and indicative indications.
FIG. 4 shows the folded pillow box according to the invention. To the left, the entire box with the top part open is visible and is thus ready for introduction of a food. When the pillow box is to be used as a packaging for takeaway, it can subsequently be closed. To the right is a half cushion box, suitable for food to be consumed immediately.
FIG. 5 shows examples of embodiments of the cushion box according to the invention. From the left, a pillow box for a French hot dog appears. In the embodiment shown, the width in the non-folded state is 95 mm and the length is 246 mm at the shortest position in the folded state. Then comes the cushion box, which can advantageously be used for a regular durum roll. It has a width of 105 and a length of 320 mm. As No. 3 from the left is shown an embodiment which is particularly suitable for slightly thicker durum rolls and the like. The width here is 120 mm and the length 318 mm. Next comes a pillow box for a regular burger having a width of 183 mm and a length of 160 mm, and then a jumboburger with a width of 243 mm and a length of 149 mm, and at the far right there is shown a pillow box which is suitable for sandwiches. This one has a width of 300 mm and a length of 166 mm. The various embodiments thus cover a wide range, which will often be found in, for example, a barbecue bar or café.
When the staff of the restaurant establishment is to use the product, it is clamped against the sides of the glued blank so as to form a substantially cross-sectional lens-shaped tube consisting of two substantially circular portions with a maximum spacing in the FIG. 1 in, for example, approx. one-third the length of the end. Thereafter, the end flap 2 is then bent inwards
DK 2018 70324 A1 is facing upwards. Through the open end, an elongated food can now be placed, such as a durum roll or a French hot dog. Thereafter, the upper end can be closed by folding in the end flaps 3 and 5, and when folded in, the food is securely wrapped and suitable for takeaway. When the user later consumes the food, an appropriate piece of the pillow box is torn to expose the food. Once the user has eaten the exposed portion, more of the cushion box can be gradually removed. In the event of a takeaway, staff may shrug an appropriate piece of the pillow box either before or after folding at one end. It is then possible to use the torn piece for, for example, french fries or chicken nuggets or the like. In this way, two food boxes are obtained from a single blank.
Before and during the meal, you can tear the perforations into the sides and bend the front and back, or you can tear the front and back as you eat the food, so that a suitable piece of the food is exposed at all times.
The subject is suitable for advertising endorsement, and in addition to marketing endorsements, the subject can also be provided with folder order information and certain preferred tear-off locations depending on the food to which the product is to be used. Thus, it becomes easy to see where the preferred tearing point for a particular food is located.
In the above, the invention has been described in relation to use in connection with traditional Danish fast food. However, the invention will also be suitable for use in other countries' kitchens, such as the Mexican, and it will also be suitable for serving food in the context of passenger transport, such as on airplanes, as it is lightweight and not fills much after use. The invention will also be applicable in private homes such as wrapping for packed lunches and serving homemade food.
DK 2018 70324 A1 fast food dishes, where it will also be possible here to utilize that two food boxes are obtained from a single raw material.
