    The present invention discloses a splash screen (100) to prevent splashes from the dishwasher assembly (120). The splash screen (100) comprises a plurality of elongated members (102) with a first end (104) and a second (106), configured to substantially overlaps in a lateral position, and at least one supporting member (108). The first end (104) is rotatably connected with the rest of the first ends (104) of the plurality of elongated members (102) via connecting provisions. The second end (106) of the elongated members (102) configured to extend in a uniformly manner upon extending the elongated members (104) by a user and retract within an interior (118) upon closing by the user. The supporting member (108), configured to overlaps the elongated members (102). The plurality of elongated members (102) and the supporting member (108) are connected to a hinging point (114) of the door (112) via the connecting provisions.

    SPLASH SCREEN
    TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
    The invention disclosed herein generally relates to a home appliance. More particularly, the invention disclosed herein relates to a dishwasher assembly comprising a splash screen or a side screen to prevent splashes from a dishwasher assembly.
    BACKGROUND
    Dishwashing machines often have a washing enclosure with a door through the front side wall thereof. The door is hinged at its bottom to permit access to the washing enclosure. In such machines, there are usually two or more vertically spaced racks for receiving utensils or articles include dishes, glassware, bowls, pots, pans, silverware, serving utensils, glasses, cups, etc., to be washed, configured to slide independently to each other.
    Currently, a problem commonly encountered with the dishwashing machines is the failure of preventing water splashes from the dishwasher assembly after completion of the wash. The dishes and glasses having areas that trap water, so that the water doesn't evaporate from the glasses, cups, etc. The dishwasher assembly contains a lot of humid air, which forms water splashes on the dishwasher's interior and on the dishes. This water splashed onto the floor and walls surrounding the area. Due to water splashes, a user must suffer from the inconvenience and disturbance to the daily routine. Due to the water splashes, the floor and walls surrounding the area could be splashed and additionally, floor cleaning is required. Such splashes can cause extensive damage to carpets, furniture, flooring, and personal possessions within the home; small splashes could be even more serious, resulting in serious structural damage to the home itself.

    A prior art, DE202008013892 of Wenzel Sebastian, discloses a dishwasher assembly with a splash screen that either can be mounted on or be an integrated part of the dishwasher. The shape of the screen guard may be round, square or elongated members and adjusted to fit the dishwasher. However, this prior art fails to provide an effective and universal splash guard for all designs of dishwasher assembly.
    In the light of above-mentioned problems, it is desirable to provide a splash screen for preventing the water splashes from the dishwasher assembly. It is desirable to provide a splash screen which is of minimal expense and possesses the capability of ease to incorporate to the new manufacturing appliances and also ease of installation on existing dishwashers of all types.
    SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
    This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further disclosed in the detailed description of the invention. This summary is not intended to identify key or essential inventive concepts of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended for determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
    The present invention discloses a dishwasher assembly comprising a splash screen or a side screen to prevent splashes from the dishwasher assembly. In one embodiment, the splash screen comprises a plurality of elongated members having a first end and a second end. In one embodiment, the first end of the elongated member is rotatably connected to rest of the plurality of elongated members by a fastening mechanism. In one embodiment, the second end of the elongated members have rounded corner edges. In one embodiment, the splash screen further comprises at least one supporting member rotatably coupled to the plurality of elongated members. In one embodiment, the supporting members have rounded corner edges. In one embodiment, the elongated member and the supporting member are coupled to a hinging point of a door via a fastener mechanism.

    In one embodiment, the splash screen is rotatable between an open position in which the plurality of elongated members is radially arranged to prevent splashes from the dishwasher assembly, and a closed position in which the plurality of elongated members is substantially parallel to the opposing sides.
    In one embodiment, the plurality of elongated member made of a water-resistant material. In some embodiments, the plurality of elongated member made of one or more material from a group comprising plastic, polyvinyl, polyethylene, iron, steel and stainless steel. In one embodiment, the elongated member comprises a shape includes, but not limited to, a quadrilateral, a triangular, a square, an arc, and a semi-arc shape. In one embodiment, the supporting member comprises a shape includes, but not limited to, a triangular, a square, an arc, a semi-arc and a quadrilateral shape. In one embodiment, the splash screen is positioned on the right side of the door of the dishwasher assembly. In another embodiment, the splash scree is positioned on, but not limited to, left side of the door of the dishwasher assembly.
    Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description. It should be understood, however, that the detailed description and the specific examples, while indicating specific embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.

    FIG. 1 exemplarily illustrates a side perspective view of a partially opened splash screen mounted on a door of a dishwasher assembly in an embodiment of the present invention.
    FIG. 2 exemplarily illustrates a side perspective view of a half-opened splash screen mounted on a door of a dishwasher assembly in an embodiment of the present invention.
    FIG. 3 exemplarily illustrates a side perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen mounted on a door of a dishwasher assembly in an embodiment of the present invention.
    FIG. 4 exemplarily illustrates a side perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen with an extraction of a rack assembly of a dishwasher assembly in an embodiment of the present invention.
    FIG. 5 exemplarily illustrates a front perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen with an extraction of a rack assembly of a dishwasher assembly in an embodiment of the present invention.
    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
    Referring to FIG. 1, the side perspective view of a partially opened splash screen or a side screen 100 mounted on a door 112 of a dishwasher assembly 120 is illustrated. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 comprises a plurality of elongated members 102 having a first end 104 and a second end 106. In one embodiment, the first end 104 of
    DK 2018 00291 A1 the elongated member 102 is rotatably connected to rest of the plurality of elongated members 102 by a fastening mechanism 110. In one embodiment, the second end of the elongated members have rounded corner edges. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 further comprises at least one supporting member 108 rotatably coupled to the plurality of elongated members 102. In one embodiment, the supporting members 108 have rounded corner edges. In one embodiment, the elongated member 102 and the supporting member 108 are coupled to a hinging point 114 of a door 112 via a fastener mechanism 110 such as a rivet, screws, nuts and a ball-joint.
    In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 is configured to prevent splashes from the dishwasher assembly 120. In another embodiment, the splash screen 100 could prevent water splashing, while keeping or placing the dishes or vessels such as glasses and cups, etc., into the dishwasher assembly 120. In one embodiment, the first end 104 of the plurality of elongating members 102 is configured to rotate anti-clockwise direction upon opening of the door 112 and rotate clockwise direction upon closing of the door 112. In one embodiment, the second end 106 of the plurality of elongating members 102 are assembled to move anti-clockwise direction upon extending the plurality of elongating members 102 by the user and move the plurality of elongating members 102 in clockwise direction upon closing by the user.
    In one embodiment, the user could be opened the door 112 of the dishwasher assembly 120, then extend the plurality of the elongated member 102 and at least on supporting member 108. In another embodiment, the plurality of elongated member 102 could be extended automatically upon the opening of the door 112 of the dishwasher assembly 120.
    In one embodiment, the plurality of elongated member 102 made of a waterresistant material. In some embodiments, the plurality of elongated member 102 made of one or more material from a group comprising plastic, polyvinyl, vinyl, polyethylene, ethylene, iron, steel and stain-less steel. In one embodiment, the plurality of elongated

In one embodiment, the supporting member 108 comprises a shape includes, but not limited to, a triangular, a square, an arc, a semi-arc and a quadrilateral shape. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 comprises a shape includes, but not limited to, a quadrilateral, a triangular, a square, an arc, and a semi-arc shape.
    In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 is positioned on the right side of the door 112 of the dishwasher assembly 120 and the splash screen 100 is partially opened by the user as depicted in FIG.1. In another embodiment, the splash scree 100 is positioned on, but not limited to, left side of the door 112 of the dishwasher assembly 120. In one embodiment, the splash screen has predetermined dimensions adaptable to the capacity of dishwasher assembly 120.
    Referring to FIG. 2, the side perspective view of a half-opened splash screen 100 mounted on a door 112 of a dishwasher assembly 120 is illustrated. After opened the door 112 of the dishwasher assembly 120, the user could extend the second ends 106 of the plurality of the elongated members 102 and at least one supporting member 108 in the anti-clockwise direction. In one embodiment, the supporting member 108 having dimensions greater than the elongated members 102, so the supporting member 108 could cover the additional area over the elongated members 102.
    Referring to FIG. 3, the side perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen 100 mounted on a door 112 of a dishwasher assembly 120 is illustrated. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 is positioned on, but not limited to, the right side of the dishwasher’s door 112 by the fastener mechanism. In one embodiment, the elongated member 102 and the supporting member 108 are could be extracted by the user in the anti-clockwise direction. The first end 104 of the elongated member 102 is configured to rotate in a direction corresponding to the direction of the second end 106 of the elongated member 102. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 could get a square shape, after

    Referring to FIG. 4, the side perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen 100 with an extraction of a rack assembly 116 of a dishwasher assembly 120 is illustrated. In one embodiment, the splash screen 100 could be extended manually by the user from the dishwasher’s interior 118. When the user opened the door 112, then the user could extend the elongated members 104 and the supporting members 108 of the splash screen 100. After extraction of the elongated members 102 and supporting members 108, the splash screen 100 could get a square shape in one embodiment. Thereafter, the user could draw the rack assembly 116 to utilize the utensils. The splash screen 100 could prevent the water splashes from the dishwasher’s interior 118 and the dishes to the floor, walls surrounding the area and prevent extensive damage to carpets, furniture, flooring, and personal possessions within the home.
    Referring to FIG. 5, the front perspective view of a fully-opened splash screen 100 with an extraction of a rack assembly 116 of a dishwasher assembly 120 is illustrated. The rack assembly 118 sides are covered by the splash screen 100. If there is a water splashes on the dishes such as glasses and cups etc., the splash screen 100 could prevent the water splashing to the outside of the dishwasher 120. The splash screen 100 is of minimal expense and possesses the capability of ease to incorporate to the new manufacturing appliances and also ease of installation on existing dishwashers of all types.
    The splash screen 100 is designed to be aesthetic and effective in the application. The relative ease of manufacture and the moderately inexpensive components provide good marketability for the manufacturer. The user benefits from improved cleanliness and prevent splashes from the interior chamber of the dishwasher 120, and cost-effective. In one embodiment, the elongated members 102 and the supporting members 108 are could be designed with plurality of colors.

    Claims (9)
    [1] What is claimed is:
    1. A splash screen (100) for a dishwasher assembly (120), characterized by:
    a plurality of elongated members (102) having a first end and a second end, wherein each first end (104) is rotatably connected with one another; and at least one supporting member (108) rotatably coupled to the plurality of elongated members, wherein the plurality of elongated members (102) and at least one supporting member (108) are connected at a hinging point (114) of a door (112) of the dishwasher assembly;
    wherein the splash screen (100) is rotatable between an open position in which the plurality of elongated members (102) is radially arranged to prevent splashes from the dishwasher assembly (120), and a closed position in which the plurality of elongated members (102) is substantially parallel to the opposing sides.
    [2] 2. The screen (100) of claim 1, wherein the at least one supporting member (108) and the plurality of elongated members (102) are coupled to the hinging point (114) via a fastener mechanism.
    [3] 3. The screen (100) of claim 1, is made of a water-resistant material.

    [4] 4. The screen (100) of claim 1, wherein the elongated member (102) is of quadrilateral shape.
    [5] 5. The screen (100) of claim 1, wherein the plurality of elongated member (102) is of any one of a pre-determined shape including a triangle, a square, an arc, and a semiarc shape.
    [6] 6. The screen (100) of claim 1, made of one or more material from a group comprising plastic, polyvinyl, vinyl, polyethylene, ethylene, iron, steel and stain-less steel.
    [7] 7. The screen (100) of claim 1, wherein the supporting member (108) is of triangular shape.
    [8] 8. The screen (100) of claim 1, wherein the supporting member (108) comprises at least one of a shape including a quadrilateral, a square, an arc, and a semi-arc shape.
    [9] 9. The screen (100) of claim 1, is positioned at right side or left side of the door (112) of the dishwasher assembly (120).
