Temporary flooring system as well as tiles for the same
The invention relates to a temporary floor system for the protection of floors and other substrates in sports halls, arenas, stadiums and similar locations and for the construction of robust and durable temporary floors on solid soil, sand, grass and plastic substrates when these locations are used for purposes such as festivals, exhibitions, conventions or anything different from the original purpose of the locations, which system is based on modules that intervene when laying out and includes molded tiles made of plastic having a non-slip surface as well as a underside in which an upwardly extending cavity is formed wherein a plurality of tight-fitting and continuous intersecting ribs are molded to support the tile on the substrate, the tiles further comprising interconnecting means for assembling multiple tiles into a coherently stable floor.
Floor systems are known for laying out as temporary floors for the protection of floors in arenas and sports halls when these premises are used for other than their original purpose and for the construction of temporary floors for use at exhibitions, conventions, festivals, etc. on fixed ground, sand, grass and artificial grass areas, to which floors are used plastic material that is laid out as modules that interlock.
However, this prior art has the disadvantage that floor systems, in some cases will not be applicable to substrates such as soft soil, sand, grass and artificial grass since the laid floor can easily inadvertently sink into the substrate, another disadvantage is that these floor systems are not insulated against the substrate and that the floor at the same time does not close tightly in the joints between the tiles when the floor is laid out, so such a system will not be applicable to e.g. ice stadiums or other frozen surfaces as the moisture in the hot air over such a floor will be able to condense on the cold surface of the floor and then seep through joints or heat may penetrate and melt the substrate, which in both cases can cause the laid floor to freeze fixed to the substrate (ice), which in turn will make the later removal of the temporary floor difficult.
DK 2017 70221 A1
The purpose of this invention is to provide a flooring system which does not have these drawbacks, but can also be applied to even soft substrates without sinking into or at ice stadiums without the risk of the temporary floor freezing on the substrate.
The object of the invention is met by a floor system of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the tiles further comprise a bottom plate in the form of a closed plate which provides a total closed contact surface against the substrate, while at the same time providing the insulating effect that results of the distance between the substrate and the surface of the tile, via the bottom plate, as well as the insulating ίο effect of the material used combined with close joints between the laid tiles that the floor system is overall insulated against the substrate.
In this way, it is thus also possible to apply the floor system to even soft substrates without the floor sinking in and on ice stadiums without heat being able to penetrate to the substrate and melting the ice and so that the moisture in the air above the floor does not condense on the surface of the insulated floor, thereby reducing the risk of the floor freezing to the ice.
As claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the base plate is equipped with snap locks which, when properly assembling the tile and base plate, engage with recesses in the tiles while slots on the devices on the upper side of the base plate engage with ribs in the cavity of the underside of the tile, thereby ensuring that the base plate is correctly and securely maintained at a uniform distance between the base plate and the top surface of the tile, thereby maintaining the insulating effect and that the tile does not sink into soft substrates such as lawns and artificial turf.
As claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the tile interconnecting means comprises a plurality of locking pins on a first edge of a tile, which locking pins are intended to cooperate with a corresponding number of recesses on another corresponding tile, these recesses are formed in a recessed channel. extending longitudinally of a second edge in such a way that the first edge as well as locking pins on a first tile and second edge as well as the recesses
DK 2017 70221 A1 on another tile by assembly is locked in a tightly closed assembly, as can also be seen in Figures 17 to 25, the interconnecting means additionally comprises a locking pin intended for engagement in an opening arranged on an opposite side of a corresponding tile so that on these pages also closed tight joints between several tiles can be obtained, resulting in a total and coherent temporary floor.
As claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the tiles are provided with flanges along the edge of the recesses as well as along the adjacent side with locking pins and in addition are also provided with corresponding notches along the edge ίο with the locking pins and the side with the opening so that the assembly of several tiles will deliberate in such a way that the flanges fill the aforementioned notches on the neighboring tiles, thereby providing a greater assurance that the joints are tight.
And as claimed in claims 8 and 9, characterized in that the non-slip surface of the tile is replaced by a flat surface, which tile is thereby formed as an advertising tile which is assembled from a tile comprising a flat surface with a recess to accommodate an advertising print and a flat transparent sheet, which transparent sheet can then be locked in a sloping rim at the edge of this recess, and that the surface of this tile may alternatively accommodate sheets of other materials such as wood, aluminum or steel, thereby obtaining a tile which can be used as a billboard, decoration or, for example, as a bulletin board.
Appropriate embodiments of accessories for the temporary floor system are set forth in claims 5 to 7.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to a temporary floor system with associated tiles (1), which is used for the protection of floors and other substrates in sports halls, arenas, ice stadiums and the like, as well as for the construction of sturdy and durable temporary floors on earth, sand, grass, etc. and artificial grasslands when
DK 2017 70221 A1 mentioned sites are used for parties, exhibitions, fairs, conventions, festivals and various other purposes and events than those they are usually intended for.
The flooring system is based on interlocking modules as shown in Figures 5, 11 and 17 to 25 and comprises molded plastic tiles (1) as shown in Figures 1, 6, 13, 16 where they are shown with a non-slip surface (18) and provided with tightly intersecting ribs (12) on the underside, see FIG. 7, to support the tile (1) on the current substrate which, as shown above, may be floors in halls and arenas and the like, as well as solid soil, grass and artificial grass.
ίο If the system is used on soft surfaces such as soft grass, artificial grass, soil, sand, etc. where there is a risk that the tight-fitting ribs (12) will sink in, a bottom plate (9) is clicked on the tile (1) and locked to it of a plurality of snap locks (11) with which the base plate (9) is provided. In addition, the base plate is also provided with a center hole for an optional screw, if deemed necessary.
When assembling tile (1) and base plate (9), a plurality of ribs (12) engage slots (20) in devices (10) on the upper side of base plate (9), which devices (10) ensure that the assembly is properly executed. The ribs (12) then support the tile (1) on the base plate (9) and thereafter on the substrate, which causes the tile (1) not to sink into soft substrates such as lawns and artificial turf.
In addition, this design also provides an always uniform distance between the substrate and the top surface of the tile (1), which distance together with the insulating effect from the material the floor system is made of, that when using the floor system on ice stadium there will be no pronounced heat transport through this part of the structure, and therefore not condensed condensation of the humidity of the air on the upper surface of the tiles used (1). This relationship, combined with the close assembly of the tiles (1) by means of the interconnecting means, results in a total and coherent temporary floor area with dense joints, which are at the same time insulated down to the substrate. The close joints between the tiles (1) mean that there will also be noticeable heat transport through them and they will
GB 2017 70221 A1 at the same time prevent liquid from seeping through to the frozen surface below, which means that the risk of the temporary floor freezing to the ice is minimal.
The interconnecting means of the tiles (1) comprise, among other things, a plurality of locking pins (2) on an edge (6) of a tile (1) intended to be locked together with a corresponding number of recesses (3) formed in a recessed channel (8). ) along one edge (7) of another corresponding tile (1), this interlocking provides a tightly closed assembly as shown in FIG. (17-25), interconnecting means further comprise a locking pin (4), on an adjacent side of the tile (1), for engaging an opening (5) on the opposite side of a tile (1). corresponding tile (1) so that even on these sides closed tight joints between several tiles (1) can be obtained.
As can be seen from Figures 10, 11 and 12, an alternative design of a tile (1) may be that the non-slip surface is replaced by a flat surface, whereby this tile (1) may be formed, for example, as an advertising tile assembled from a flat tile (16) comprising a recess for e.g. receiving a promotional print (14) and at the top a flat transparent plate (15) for protecting this print (14), which upper transparent plate (15) can be locked by means of a special tool in an inclined fold at the edge of this recess. Alternatively, the surface of this flat tile may accommodate sheets of other materials such as e.g. wood, aluminum or steel, thereby obtaining a tile that can be used, for example, as a billboard, decoration or, for example, as a bulletin board, etc.
The profile shown in figure. 14 and 15 are a profile designed to be used for cabling and as an expansion joint which allow the laid floor to expand by heating, the profile is designed as two profiles, a bottom and a top, where the bottom profile is laid together with the floor and then the top profile is pressed / stepped down into a groove in the middle of the bottom profile which is provided with locking pins for retaining the top profile.
Figures 17 to 25 show examples of laying out of the temporary floor system, of which Figures 18, 19, 21,22, 23 and 24 show several stages in which the tiles (1) are laid out.
DK 2017 70221 A1 is connected and it can be seen that, with the design and placement of the locking pins (2) and the recesses (3) shown here, the tiles (1) can be connected in steps incrementally for each recess (3).
Figures 26 to 29 show examples of edge profiles for use with the temporary floor. These are used for doorways and wheelchair paths and other driveways where the edge profiles are interconnected with the outer edges of the laid temporary floor.
