Description
The invention relates to a top module for interconnecting mobile robots and carriages, racks and the like.
Mobile robots are already widely used for logistics tasks in industry. The focus here is on making a top module design which in its operation is safe for the users and those who interact with the robots.
Furthermore, it is essential that the top module is compact in order for the center of mass to be as low as possible.
The term top module refers to a module permanently mounted on top of a mobile robot. This top module can then be used to connect a mobile robot that can run from A to B with carts, racks and the like on which are placed items that you want to move from A to B.
The primary function the top module solves is thus to be a part of the robot when it drives to, for example, point A to pick up a wagon, by connecting the robot and wagon together, and then driving to point B and handing over the wagon.
To ensure stable interconnection, the top module is equipped with 4 horizontally acting locking pawls. Once these are pulled into the top module, the carriage is disengaged from the robot, when they are pushed out the carriage is coupled to the robot.
If you want to move a stand, in addition to the 4 locking pawls, a lifting mechanism has been introduced. When the 4 locking pawls have been pushed out and coupled to the stand, the lifting mechanism can be activated, after which the stand can be lifted and the robot can move it from point A to point B.
The lifting mechanism is designed so that two wedges are pulled towards each other when the mechanism lifts, which gives an optimal force transfer, as the shear forces between the upper and lower part of the top module are then minimal.

A top module (1) for interconnection between mobile robots and accessories in the form of carriages, racks and the like, characterized in that in the top module there are 2 - 4 horizontally acting locking pawls that can be slid out of the module, and thereby fix a shape for accessories.

Top module according to claim 1, characterized in that it consists of an upper (2) and a lower section (3), and that the 2 - 4 horizontally acting locking pawls (4) are located on the upper section, and that on the lower section is a lifting mechanism which can lift the upper section so that the accessories that are fixed can now be lifted.

Lifting mechanism according to claim 2, characterized in that it is designed so that there are 4 support points. The 4 support points are designed so that they each form a wedge shape (5) which, when pulled in pairs towards each other, will transform a horizontal movement into a vertical movement.
