TUBE POSITIONING OUTSOLE TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention disclosed herein generally relates to footwear. More particularly, the invention disclosed herein relates to an outsole of footwear configured to position a tube under a floor surface.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Underfloor heating refers to a method of heating a given space or a room to provide a comfortable environment for one or more persons accommodated in the room. Underfloor heating has been used for years in places having cold weather conditions. Conventionally, underfloor heating processes use electrical heating methods or fluids conveyed in tubes to transfer heat to the ambient air present in a room or a given space. Temperature adjustment within the room is carried out using conduction, radiation, and convection between the fluid conveyed by the tubes and the ambient air present in the room. Typically, tubes made of plastic materials are used to convey heated fluids beneath the floor of the room or space to be heated. Several lines of plastic tubes are installed to heat the target room. During installation, workers must lay each tube individually in the spaces provided for the tube.
[0003] This involves kneeling several times to lay a single line containing multiple tubes. Frequent kneeling causes inconvenience to the workers, sometimes leading to cramps and other physical problems. A footwear, which prevents workers from repeatedly kneeling while laying tubes for underfloor heating, is required. Hence, there is a long felt but unresolved need for a footwear, which prevents workers from repeatedly kneeling while laying tubes for underfloor heating.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004] This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further disclosed in the detailed description of the invention. This summary is not intended to identify key or essential inventive concepts of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended for determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
[0005] The invention disclosed herein addresses the above-mentioned need for a footwear, which prevents workers from repeatedly kneeling while laying tubes for underfloor heating. The tube positioning outsole of a footwear, disclosed herein, comprises an outer surface and an arcuate section. The outer surface provides a gripping contact between the footwear and a floor surface. The arcuate section is positioned generally equidistant from a heel section and a toe section of the footwear. The arcuate section is configured on the outer surface of the tube positioning outsole to conform to an outer surface of the tube for positioning the tube under the floor surface.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0006] The foregoing summary, as well as the following detailed description of the invention, is better understood when read in conjunction with the appended drawings. For the purpose of illustrating the invention, exemplary constructions of the invention are shown in the drawings. However, the invention is not limited to the specific methods and structures disclosed herein. The description of a method step or a structure referenced by a numeral in a drawing is applicable to the description of that method step or structure shown by that same numeral in any subsequent drawing herein.
[0007] FIG. 1 exemplarily illustrates a perspective view of a tube positioning outsole of a footwear.
[0008] FIG. 2 exemplarily illustrates a perspective view of a tube positioning outsole of a footwear positioned on a tube.
[0009] FIG. 3 exemplarily illustrates a method for positioning a tube under a floor surface.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] FIG. 1 exemplarily illustrates a perspective view of a tube positioning outsole 100 of a footwear 101. FIG. 2 exemplarily illustrates a perspective view of a tube positioning outsole 100 of a footwear 101 positioned on a tube 102. The tube positioning outsole 100 of a footwear 101 for positioning a tube 102 under a floor surface comprises an outer surface 103 and an arcuate section 104. The outer surface 103 provides a gripping contact between the footwear 101 and a floor surface. The arcuate section 104 is positioned generally equidistant from a heel section 105 and a toe section 106 of the footwear 101. The arcuate section 104 is configured to conform to an outer surface 107 of the tube 102 for positioning the tube 102 under the floor surface. In an embodiment, the footwear 101 is, for example, a safety shoe used on construction sites, a safety boot, etc.
In an embodiment, the arcuate section 104 has a slightly larger diameter than the outer diameter of the tube 102. In an embodiment, the tube 102 is made of a cross-linked polyethylene material. In an embodiment, the tube 102 is about 20mm in diameter and the arcuate section 104 is configured slightly larger. In another embodiment, the footwear 101 is a safety shoe meeting general safety requirements, for example, metal snout, etc.
[0011] In an embodiment, multiple small grooves 108 are configured in the arcuate section 104 as exemplarily illustrated in FIG. 1. The grooves 108 provide better grip on the tube 102 and ensure that the tube 102 is held very firmly. In an embodiment, the tube positioning outsole 100 of a footwear 101 is only used to establish underfloor heating and is not used as a general safety shoe. The grooves 108 grip the outer surface 107 of the tube 102 and prevent the tube 102 from turning around or rolling during installation. This prevents the user from repeatedly kneeling during installation of the heating fluid carrying tubes 102. Furthermore, the tube positioning outsole 100 enables a worker to install tubes 102 quickly and efficiently.
[0012] FIG. 3 exemplarily illustrates a method for positioning a tube 102 under a floor surface. In the method for positioning a tube 102 under a floor surface, disclosed herein, a tube positioning outsole 100 comprising an outer surface 103 and an arcuate section 104 positioned generally equidistant from a heel section 105 and a toe section 106 of the footwear 101, is provided 201. The arcuate section 104 is aligned 202 over the tube 102. An outer surface 107 of the tube 102 is gripped 203 using the arcuate section 104 of the tube positioning outsole 100. Finally, the tube 102 is positioned 204 for installation of the tube 102 under the floor surface.
[0013] The foregoing examples have been provided merely for the purpose of explanation and are in no way to be construed as limiting of the tube positioning outsole 100, disclosed herein. While the tube positioning outsole 100 has been described with reference to various embodiments, it is understood that the words, which have been used herein, are words of description and illustration, rather than words of limitation. Further, although the tube positioning outsole 100 has been described herein with reference to particular means, materials, and embodiments, the tube positioning outsole 100 is not intended to be limited to the particulars disclosed herein; rather, the tube positioning outsole 100 extends to all functionally equivalent structures, methods and uses, such as are within the scope of the invention. Although there has been shown and described the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that modifications may be made thereto.
