Device for use in connection with tile mounting around a hanging toilet
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a device for use in connection with tile mounting around a hanging toilet.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In connection with the establishment of hanging toilets, an installation module to which the hanging toilet is attached is used. The tiles around a hanger toilet are laid before the hanger toilet is subsequently mounted by a ws installer.
It is extremely difficult for the person to put the tiles to cut the tiles, so that the finish up against the hanging toilet becomes nice, since the person who is going to put the tiles normally does not have the opportunity to see the hanging toilet to be fitted. It is especially challenging in situations where shelf tiles are used that are thicker and thus protrude further into the room than the wall above the shelf tiles. The problem arises, among other things. in situations where wall tiles mounted above the plinths are thinner than the plinths or when there is otherwise a level difference between the plinths and the wall above the plinths.
Therefore, a device is needed to solve this problem.
The Invention of the Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a mounting device which enables a person to place tiles around a hanging toilet to make a precise marking of the wall tiles and / or pedestal tiles in the area around the hanging toilet, so that the tiles can be cut and mounted on in such a way that the end up against the hanging toilet looks nice if the plinths are thicker and thus protrude further into the room than the wall above the plinths. The wall above the plinths can be tiled (with tiles thinner than the plinths), water-scoured, painted (eg a painted plaster wall) or a glossy brick wall. As long as there is a level difference between the plinths and the overlying wall, it is a challenge to make the transition between the plinths and the hanging toilet nice.
It is further an object of the present invention to provide a mounting device which is time and material saving in connection with tile mounting around a hanging toilet.
The object of the present invention is achieved with a mounting device as defined in claim 1. Preferred embodiments are defined in the subclaims and are explained in the following description and illustrated in the accompanying figures.
The mounting device according to the invention is a mounting device for marking an area around which area to be mounted a hanging toilet, in order to mark and cut wall tiles and / or pedestal tiles. The mounting device comprises a template designed to mark the area to which a plurality of wall tiles and / or pedestal tiles to be placed around a hanging toilet, mounted on a wall, must go.
This allows the person to put tiles around a hanging toilet to make a precise marking of the wall tiles and pedestal tiles in the area around the hanging toilet, so that the tiles can be cut and mounted in such a way that the end up against the hanging toilet becomes nice, even if the plinths are thicker and thus protrude further than the wall tiles.
The invention also makes it possible to install tiles around a hanging toilet more quickly and with minimal waste of material (cut tiles).
By "area" is meant a surface such as a wall e.g. the outside of an installation box within which the installation module to which the hanging toilet is attached is located.
It may be advantageous for the mounting device to comprise a planar substantially plate-shaped template in which are provided two small holes, which small holes are arranged for passing two clamping bolts from a hanging module belonging to the hanging toilet.
This makes it easy to position the mounting device by inserting the clamping bolts into the holes provided in the template. This ensures a fast and precise positioning of the mounting device.
It may be advantageous for the small holes to be symmetrically arranged around the longitudinal axis of the template.
This provides a mounting device that is adapted to the existing hanging toilets and the associated installation modules. In addition, the template can be turned with both sides towards the surface on which the hanging toilet is to be mounted.
It may be advantageous for the template to have a separate hole provided for a flushing tube.
This allows the mounting device to be used for marking tiles around installation modules in which flushing pipes from a cistern have already been placed.
It may be convenient that the separate hole be symmetrically disposed about the longitudinal axis of the template. Such a solution would fit most of the existing hanging toilets and the associated installation modules. Furthermore, the template can be turned with both sides towards the surface on which the hanging toilet is to be mounted.
It may be advantageous for the template to have a separate hole provided for conducting a drain pipe. This allows the mounting device to be used for marking tiles around installation modules in which drain pipe has already been placed.
It may be advantageous for the separate hole to be symmetrically disposed about the longitudinal axis of the template so that the template fits most of the existing hanging toilets and associated installation modules.
It may be convenient for the template to provide a separate hole configured for conducting both a flushing pipe and a drain pipe.
Such a construction requires less material as the hole is larger. This allows for a lighter and cheaper template.
It may be advantageous for the separate hole to be symmetrically disposed about the longitudinal axis of the template. In this way, the template can be turned with both sides towards the surface on which the hanging toilet is to be mounted. This is a great advantage so that the user of the template does not have to turn a particular side towards the surface against which the hanging toilet is to be mounted.
It is preferred that the template is symmetrical about the longitudinal axis of the template so that the template can be turned with both sides towards the surface on which the hanging toilet is to be mounted.
It may be advantageous to provide in the template two large circular holes or a large hole symmetrically positioned around the cabinet.
The longitudinal axis of the ion, where the two smallest holes are located symmetrically around the longitudinal axis of the template along an axis extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the template.
It is an advantage that the template is constructed in a rigid material so that the template can be used for marking by means of a marking tool such as e.g. a pencil without the template giving in to any appreciable extent.
It may be advantageous that the template is arranged in such a way that its outline extends in such a manner as to an associated installation module: - that between the mounted hanger toilet and pedestal tiles fixed below the mounted hanger toilet on the same surface on which the mounted hanging toilet is attached, a thin joint is provided and - the lower edge of the wall tiles mounted just above the hanging toilet is placed at a height below the hanging toilet.
This ensures that the bottom edge of the wall tiles mounted just above the hanging toilet is not visible from above.

Detailed description
Initially, it should be noted that the attached figures illustrate non-limiting embodiments only. A variety of other embodiments will be possible within the scope of the present invention. In the following, similar or identical elements in the various embodiments will be denoted by the same reference numeral.
FIG. 1 is a front view of a schematic illustration of three different mounting devices 2 according to the invention.
FIG. Figure 1 a) shows a mounting device 2 consisting of a planar, generally plate-shaped template 4, in which two small holes 6, 6 'are provided for passing two mounting bolts (see Fig. 3 and Fig. 4), a larger hole 8 for passing a flushing tube 28, and an even larger hole 10 for feeding a drainage tube 26.
The template 4 is symmetrical about one axis V thereof which is arranged to be oriented in a vertical direction in connection with the use of the template 4 for marking e.g. pedestal tiles (see Fig. 2, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5).
The two largest holes 8, 10 are circular and are located symmetrically around the axis V, with the largest hole 10 located at the bottom. The two smallest holes 6, 6 'of the template are located symmetrically around the axis V along an axis H extending perpendicular to the axis V. The axis H must be oriented in a horizontal (horizontal) direction in connection with the use of the template 4 for marking f. items, plinths and wall tiles (see Fig. 2, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5).
The template 4 has an outer geometry that corresponds to the back of a hanging toilet. Thus, the geometry of the template 4 corresponds to the suspension surface of the hanger toilet against the wall on which the hanger toilet is mounted. It is essential that the two small holes 8, 6! is placed such that a line passing through their centers is horizontal, ie. the axis H is horizontally (horizontally) oriented so that markings can be made on e.g. wall tiles and floor tiles that fit the hanging toilet when fitted.
The template 4 may be of different design depending on which hanger toilet the template 4 is to be used. The distance between the two small holes 6, 8 'can vary from the hanging toilet to the hanging toilet. Similarly, the size and location of the two major holes 8, 10 may vary.
FIG. 1 b) the pointer second mounting device 2 according to the invention. Mounting device 2 consists of a planar and substantially plate-shaped template 4 in which are provided two small holes 6, 6 'for inserting two mounting bolts (see Fig. 3 and Fig. 4) as well as a large hole 12 for inserting partly a flushing pipe 28 and partly a drain pipe 28.
The template 4 is, like the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 a) symmetrical about the longitudinal axis of the template V. The large hole 12 is located symmetrically about the axis V. The two smallest holes 6, 6 of the template! are positioned symmetrically about the axis V and they are arranged along an axis H extending perpendicular to the axis V. In the same manner as described with reference to FIG. 1 a) it is important that the axis H is oriented horizontally (horizontally) in connection with the use of the template 4 for marking e.g. plinth and wall tiles.
The template 4 has an outer geometry corresponding to the outer geometry of the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 b). The template 4 can, in the same way as the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 a) have different designs depending on the type of hanging to which the template 4 is to be used. Similarly, the distance between the two small holes 6, 6 'may vary from the hanging toilet to the hanging toilet.
FIG. 1 c) the pointer third mounting device 2 according to the invention. Mounting device 2 consists of a planar and substantially plate-shaped template 4 in which only two small holes 6 are provided. for inserting two mounting bolts (see Fig. 3 and Fig. 4).
Thus, this template 4 can be used in connection with the mounting of hanging toilets when no flushing pipes and drain pipes have yet been placed in the installation module on which the hanging toilet is to be mounted. The template 4 of FIG. 1 (c) can be used for wall and plinth flooring when no flushing pipe and drain pipe have been installed in the installation module.
The template 4 is, like the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 a) symmetrical about the longitudinal axis V of the template. The large hole 12 is located symmetrically around the axis V. The two smallest holes 6, 6 'of the template are located symmetrically around the axis V and are arranged along an axis H extending perpendicular to the axis V In the same manner as described with reference to Fig. 1 (a), it is important that the axis H is oriented horizontally (horizontally) in connection with the use of the template 4 for marking e.g. plinth and wall tiles.
The template 4 has an outer geometry corresponding to the outer geometry of the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 b). The template 4 can, in the same way as the template 4 shown in FIG. 1 a) have different designs depending on the type of hanging to which the template 4 is to be used. Similarly, the distance between the two small holes 6, island! vary from the hanging toilet to the hanging toilet.
The templates 4 shown in FIG. 1 a) and in FIG. 1 b) can be used in connection with the replacement of hanging toilets or the installation of new hanging toilets, because there is room for both flushing pipes and drain pipes (see Figs. 3 and Fig. 4).
FIG. 2 is a schematic perspective view of a hanging toilet 14 mounted using a mounting device according to the invention. The hanging toilet 14 is mounted on a wall covered with wall tiles 18. Floor tiles 20 are laid on the floor below the hanging toilet and along the lower part of the wall are plinths 16.
The challenge usually consists in laying both floor tiles 20 and wall tiles 18 and pedestal tiles 16 (by, for example, a bricklayer) before the hanging toilet 14 is installed by a plumber. It is extremely difficult for the person to lay the tiles to cut the tiles so that the end up against the hanging toilet looks nice, especially if the plinths 16 are thicker and thus protrude further into the room than the wall tiles 18.
Using the mounting device according to the invention, it is possible to mark the back of the hanger toilet 14 before the hanger toilet 14 is mounted. Hereby, the person who is going to lay the tiles has the opportunity to make a precise marking of the wall tiles 18 and pedestal tiles 18 in the area around the hanging toilet 14, so that the tiles 16, 18 can be cut out so that the finish up against the hanging toilet looks nice, even if the pedestal tiles 16 is thicker and thus protrudes further than the wall tiles 18.
FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of an installation module 24 which is used in connection with hanging toilets. The installation module 24 comprises a frame 34 with two longitudinal rods 34,34 "connected by a first transverse rod 40 and a second transverse rod 40 'located below the first spring rod 40. The upper part of the installation module 24 is arranged a cistern 32 connected to a flushing tube 28 extending partly down the longitudinal axis X of the installation module and partly extending perpendicular to that portion of the flushing tube 28. The flushing tube 28 thus comprises a 90 degree bend. In the lower part of the installation module 24 is arranged a drain pipe 26 comprising a first part extending vertically along the longitudinal axis X of the installation module and a second part extending perpendicular to the first part of the drain pipe 28.
The installation module 24 comprises a first clamping bolt 30 and a second clamping bolt 30 '. The clamping bolts 30, 30 'are arranged symmetrically about the longitudinal axis of the installation module and they extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module.
The installation module 24 is arranged on a floor 38 in such a way that the frame 34 is height adjustable. At the same time, each of the two longitudinal bars 34 ', 34' is individually height adjustable so that the two clamping bolts 30, 30 'can be placed in a position where they both extend in the same horizontal plane.
The installation module 24 comprises two fittings 42, by means of which the two longitudinal rods 34, 34 ”can be secured to the underlying wall 48 by means of screws or bolts 44.
If a flushing tube 28 extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module and a drainpipe 26 also extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module is provided in the installation module 24, a template 4 with holes for both the flushing tube 28 and the drainage tube 26 must be used. Such templates are shown in FIG. 1 a) and FIG. 1 b) and FIG. 4 b).
If neither the flushing tube 28 nor the drainage tube 26 also extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module is provided in the installation module 24, a template 4 without a hole can be used for the flushing tube 28 and the drainage tube 26. It will thus be possible to use the template. shown in FIG. 1 (c) equipped with holes only for the clamping bolts 30, 30 ',
FIG. 4 shows how the mounting device 2 according to the invention is used to mark how to cut wall tiles 18 and pedestal tiles 18 around a hanging toilet.
FIG. 4 (a) shown installation module located in an installation box 48 (eg made of plaster or wood). Perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module extends are flushing pipes 28, a drain pipe 26 and two clamping pins 30, 30 ', of which only one clamping bolt 30 is visible. The installation box 48 is placed on top of a floor covered with floor tiles 20.
The one shown in FIG. 4 (a) illustrates the external elements available to the person to place the tiles 20, 16, 18 around a hanging toilet. In FIG. 4 b) there are ten! mounted on the right of the installation module is a mounting device 2 according to the invention. The mounting device 2 is similar to that of FIG. 1 (a) mounting device 2. The mounting device 2 consists of a rigid plate material in which two small holes 6, 6 'are provided for inserting the clamping bolts 30, 30'. In addition, in the sheet material, a larger hole 8 is provided for the passage of the flushing tube 28 and an even larger hole 10 for the passage of the drainage tube 26.
The mounting device 2 is simultaneously inserted over the clamping bolts 30, 30 ', the flushing tube 28 and the drain pipe 26 by moving the mounting device 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow P. In FIG. 4 c) the mounting device 2 is inserted over the clamping bolts 30, 30 ', the flushing tube 28 and the drain pipe 26 and a marking is made along the periphery of the mounting device 2 by means of a marking tool (eg a pencil) 50. In FIG. 4 c) the height h-ι above the floor tiles 20, where the top of the plinth 16, is to go, is marked with a first dotted line L-ι. Similarly, the height h2 above the floor tiles 20, where the underside of the wall tiles 18 above the hanging toilet, is to be marked, is marked with another dotted line L2. Note that the underside of the wall tiles 18 must be placed under the upper side of the hanging toilet 14 so that the hanging toilet 14 can be mounted outside of the wall tiles 18.
Now, the wall tiles 18 above the hanging toilet as well as the pedestal tiles 16 under the hanging toilet can be cut from the applied markings. In FIG. 4 d) wall tiles 18 and plinth 16 are mounted from the markings made using the mounting device 2 as illustrated in FIG. 4 c). The mounting device 2 is removed from the installation box 48 and the mounting device 2 can thus be reused.
It is important to emphasize that the mounting device 2 can also be used in situations where a water-cut wall, a drywall, a glossy brick wall or other types of wall covering are used instead of wall tiles 18, which give rise to a level difference between the wall and the plinths. 16. In situations where the socket tiles 16 extend further into the room than the other wall covering, the mounting device 2 can be used to provide a nice finish in the transition between the hanging toilet 14 and the socket tiles 16.
FIG. 5 shows a hanging toilet 14 mounted using a mounting device according to the invention. Hanging toilets 14 are shown from the side and mounted on an installation module located in an installation box 48 as shown in FIG. 4 c).
It can be seen from FIG. 5, that a joint 36 is provided between the hanging toilet 14 and the sock tile 16, while the hanging toilet 14 is placed outside on the wall tiles 18 above the hanging toilet 14. The joint 36 can advantageously be terminated by the application of a flexible sealant (e.g. a silicone -based wet room sealant).
It is seen that the plinth 16 is thicker than the wall tiles 18 and that the hanging toilet 14 is placed outside on the wall tiles 18. It can also be seen that the flushing pipe 28, the drain pipe 26 and the clamping bolt 30 extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the installation module in the gap between the back of the hanging toilet. front of installation box 48.
By means of the mounting device 2 according to the invention, it is possible to fit wall tiles 18 and pedestal tiles 16 around a hanging toilet 14 in an easy, quick and efficient way, so that a nice finish can be provided around the hanging toilet 14, even if the person laying the tiles 20, 16, 18 do not have access to the hanging toilet 14.
The mounting device 2 according to the invention is useful for the establishment of new hanging toilets 14 as well as for the renovation and replacement of hanging toilets 14.
The mounting device 2 according to the invention can be made in various materials such as plastic (preferably recycled plastic), wood, glass, metal or other materials. which makes the mounting device 2 useful for marking / drawing the area to which the tiles 16, 18 adjacent to the hanging toilet must go.
It is essential that the mounting device 2 has a stiffness which allows it to be used as a contact surface for a marking tool 50 as shown in FIG. 4 c) without the mounting device 2 yielding to any significant degree. In this way, it is possible to use the mounting device 2 as a template 4, which can be signed off.
