Description: The invention relates to a presentation unit, which serves in particular as a sales and / or storage unit for a removable data carrier with an audio file stored thereon.
As a removable disk is not referred to in the context of the invention, not fixed, removable, portable media for computers or other computing units.
Due to their storage capacity and their small size so-called USB sticks are increasingly used for other subjects, i. E. Removable disk with an Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. However, audiobooks have traditionally been stored on a removable CD designed as a removable medium.
TASK AND SOLUTION
It is the object of the present invention to provide a presentation unit comprising a removable disk, in particular a USB memory stick, with an audio file and with an interface for connection to an external device for reading the audio file, which has both an aesthetic requirements as also sufficient for easy handling.
This object is achieved by a presentation unit comprising a removable medium with an audio file and with an interface for connection to an external device for reading the audio file, in particular a USB memory stick, and a packaging element substantially in the form of a flat cuboid with six surfaces , comprising a base surface, a cover surface lying opposite the base surface and four smaller side surfaces, wherein the packaging element has a recess open in the direction of at least a first surface, into which the removable data carrier can be inserted, wherein the removable data carrier can be removed from the packaging element repeatedly without destruction and into the recess of the packaging element can be used.
The packaging element in the form of a flat cuboid is similar to a book shaped, so that the presentation unit can be designed as a book for sale and / or stored on a shelf. The size of the packaging element can be suitably selected by the person skilled in the art depending on the aesthetic and / or other requirements. The side surfaces of the packaging element are smaller than the base surface and the top surface, wherein the distance between the base surface and the top surface is also referred to as the thickness of the packaging element. The terms base area and top surface are merely a simplified name and are not to be construed restrictively. Preferably, an embodiment is provided in which in use top or bottom arranged side surfaces are shorter than the two other side surfaces. The aspect ratio is for example about 3: 2. However, designs are also conceivable with a substantially square base area or designs in which side faces arranged in the top or bottom in use are longer than the two further side faces.
By open at least in the direction of a first surface recess a simple removal or a simple stowage of the removable disk is possible without the need, for example, to open a box provided with a lid or close. The recess is designed in one embodiment as a recess on one of the surfaces, in particular on the base surface or the top surface.
The recess extends in advantageous embodiments, starting from the first surface, perpendicular to the first surface. The removable disk can be inserted by a movement perpendicular to the first surface in the recess or the recess removed. This allows easy handling, since such a movement is very easy and quick to carry out.
To provide a thin packaging element, i. a packaging element with a small distance between the base surface and the side surface is the recess in advantageous embodiments, at least in the direction of a first side surface open, so that the removable disk is inserted from the direction of the first side surface in the packaging element. A thickness of the packaging element, i. a distance between the base surface and the side surface, is preferably at least equal to the thickness of the removable disk, so that the recorded removable disk does not protrude from the base and / or the side surface.
In advantageous embodiments, the recess is at least partially designed by a groove-shaped recess, which is provided on a second surface adjacent to the first surface, wherein the groove-shaped recess preferably extending from the first surface, perpendicular to the first surface. The design of the recess as a groove-shaped recess allows a simple and cost-effective production. The second surface is preferably the top surface or the base surface. However, embodiments are also conceivable in which a groove-shaped depression is provided on a narrow side of the packaging element.
In one embodiment, the groove-shaped recess extends over the entire length of the second surface. In other embodiments, the groove-shaped recess extends over only a portion of the length of the second surface, wherein preferably at an inner end of the groove-shaped recess an opening is provided through which an interface end of the removable disk is feasible. Such a design is particularly advantageous for removable media in which the interface is exposed to the housing.
For easy handling, the removable storage device in an advantageous embodiment, a housing with an eyelet. The recess and the removable disk are preferably designed such that the eyelet protrudes from the packaging element in the inserted state of the removable disk.
For an aesthetic, individual design of the packaging element is at least at the base and an adjacent side surface surrounding cover provided in advantageous embodiments, preferably a packaging element on the base, the top surface and an intermediate side surface surrounding cover. The cover can be designed according to the audio file stored on the removable disk. If the recess is provided on the base surface, the top surface and / or the intermediate side surface, the cover preferably has corresponding cutouts.
In one embodiment, the packaging element is made as a one-piece solid component, for example made of cardboard, wood or plastic.
In other embodiments, the packaging element comprises a base member having the first component and an associated, the top surface exhibiting second component. The components are for example made of cardboard or cardboard. In another embodiment is at least one component, or both components are made of plastic and injection molded parts. As a result, a simple production of a robust in use packaging element is possible.
The two components are locked together in one embodiment, glued, welded or the like. In an advantageous embodiment, the first component and the second component are interconnected by means of at least one magnetic connection. The magnetic connection is non-destructively detachable in one embodiment, so that a gap between the components is accessible and, for example, as a storage space for a user manual, a booklet or the like can be used. In other embodiments, a separation of the components is prevented for example by means of the cover.
The design of the two components is selected in an advantageous embodiment such that the first component on the base has a groove-shaped recess into which the removable disk is used nondestructively removable. As described, the groove-shaped depression, starting from a side surface, preferably extends over only a part of the length or the width of the base surface. At an inner end of the groove-shaped recess, an opening is provided in one embodiment, through which a first, the interface exhibiting end of the inserted removable disk is guided.
The second component has, in one embodiment, on a side facing the first component on a bearing shell for the first end of the inserted removable disk. As a result, a secure enclosure of the interface having the end is possible. At the same time the bearing shell serves as protection against accidental disconnection of the removable disk from the packaging element.
In one embodiment, the first and / or the second component is designed substantially as a plate, wherein the other component next to the base or top surface thereof has projecting side surface elements. In an advantageous embodiment, the first component and the second component are designed shell-shaped, wherein the first component has the base and thereof projecting side surface elements and second the top surface and projecting therefrom side surface elements. The side surface elements complement each other to the side surfaces.
In an alternative embodiment, the packaging element or at least one of the components of a folded cardboard or cardboard blank is made. In this case, a rail is preferably provided in the recess of the packaging element with a relative to the cardboard or cardboard blank increased abrasion resistance. Thereby, a recess with a sufficient resistance to mechanical stress in a repeated removal or a repeated insertion of the removable disk is created. The paperboard or paperboard blank is preferably suitably shaped and folded to provide a packaging element of suitable dimensions for the application.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the side surfaces are offset at least one corner of the packaging element inwardly relative to this corner, so that a further recess is created. The recess serves as a recessed grip for separating the components in a two-part design.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
Fig. 1 to 5 show a first embodiment of a presentation unit 1 comprising a buchartig shaped packaging element 2 and a removable disk 3 in different views. The terms front side, rear side, top and bottom are used below in accordance with the preferred arrangement of the presentation unit 1 shown in the figures. Of course, however, it remains up to a user to align presentation unit 1 differently and to deposit it, for example, on a side designated as the front side.
In the illustrated removable disk 3 is a so-called USB stick, i. E. a removable disk with an Universal Serial Bus (USB) designed interface 30 on which an audio file, in particular an audiobook is stored. At one end opposite the interface 30, a housing of the illustrated removable data carrier 3 has an eyelet 32.
The illustrated packaging element 2 is substantially book-shaped, i. in the form of a flat cuboid with six surfaces 21-26, namely a base 21, a cover surface 22 opposite the base 21 and four smaller side surfaces 23-26. As best seen in Fig. 5, the illustrated presentation unit 1 comprises a cover 4, which surrounds the packaging element 2 on the base 21, the top surface 22 and an intermediate side surface 25. The cover can be designed according to the audio file stored on the removable disk 3. The covered by the cover 4 side surface 25 can be designed in particular in the manner of a spine. In one embodiment of the side face 25 of the packaging element serving as spine, corners of the base 21 and of the top surface 22 are rounded off in the exemplary embodiment shown.
The illustrated packaging element 2 has a recess 27, in which the removable disk 3 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, can be used. The recess 27 is open for insertion of the removable data carrier 3 in the direction of a first surface 24, which is the side surface 24 arranged in the representations at the top.
As shown in Fig. 3 and 4, the removable disk 3 is repeatedly destructively the packaging element 2 removable and inserted into the recess 27 of the packaging element 2 again.
In the illustrated embodiment, the recess 27 is formed in a first portion partially by a provided on the base 21 groove-shaped recess extending from the side surface 24 perpendicular to this. The groove-shaped recess extends only over a part of the length of the base 21, wherein at an inner end of the groove-shaped recess an opening 28 is provided, through which an interface 30 exhibiting end of the removable disk 3 is feasible.
The length of the groove-shaped recess and the length of the removable disk 3 are selected such that in the inserted state of the removable disk 3 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the eyelet 32 protrudes from the packaging element 2 upwards. The eyelet 32 thus allows easy handling when removing the removable disk. 3
As can be seen in FIG. 5, the cover 4 has a cutout 40 corresponding to the groove-shaped recess, so that the cover 4 does not hide the groove-shaped recess.
In the illustrated embodiment, the side opposite the spine side surface 23 and arranged in the representations above side surface 24 are offset at the enclosed by them corner of the packaging element 2 with respect to the corner inwards, so that a further recess is formed. As best seen in Fig. 5, the packaging element 2 shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 is designed in two parts, comprising a base 21 exhibiting first component 20 and an associated, the top surface 22 exhibiting second component 29. The second component 29 has, on an inner side facing the first component 20, a bearing shell 290 for the first end of the inserted removable data carrier 3. The design is particularly advantageous if the removable disk 3 as shown has an exposed interface 30, wherein the interface 30 is securely housed by the bearing shell. At the same time, due to the design, it is possible to remove the removable data carrier 3 at least at the beginning of the movement only by movement perpendicular to the side surface 24. This prevents accidental separation of the removable disk 3 from the packaging element 3 or at least made more difficult. However, embodiments are also conceivable in which the bearing shell 290 and the opening 28 or only the bearing shell 290 are dispensed with. In contrast to the design according to FIGS. 1 to 5, the packaging element 2 according to FIG. 6 has no rounded corners and the groove-shaped recess provided on a top surface 22 and acting as a recess for the removable medium 3 extends over the entire length the top surface 22. The packaging element 2 is made for example of folded cardboard or cardboard blank or solid, for example made of wood or plastic. In the groove-shaped recess 27, a rail 270 is inserted. The rail 270 is, for example, made of plastic and suitably chosen to allow repeated insertion of the removable disk 3. It is understood that numerous modifications are conceivable. For example, modifications by deviating combinations of the elements of the illustrated embodiments are conceivable. Furthermore, a design of a presentation unit 1 similar to that of FIGS. 1 to 5 is conceivable, to which the cover is applied in such a way that the base side 21 with the groove-shaped recess serves as the front side of the book-shaped packaging element 2 in use.
