Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a control device for a watch movement comprising a control member such as a button or a ring and a control rod kinematically connecting the control member to the watch movement. The present invention particularly relates to a control device comprising a winding crown or setting time to control the reassembly or setting the time of the watch movement.
In a watch movement, the control members are in the form of a generally projecting piece, of cylindrical or rounded shape, generally with knurled head and serve to actuate a function of the movement. The winding or time-setting crown, or simply crown, is a knob of various shapes, often knurled or with grooves, which are grasped by hand to raise or set the watch movement. In the following, we use the term crown to designate the winding crown or setting time.
To be operated by the user, the control members, and in particular the crown, protrude from the watch case and are visible when the watch is worn. They participate in the overall aesthetics of the watch.
The object of the present invention is to provide a control device for a watch movement in which the control member, in particular a winding crown and / or setting time, is removable and interchangeable, preference easily and without tools, allowing to customize the timepiece.
The present invention relates to a control device according to claim 1, a movement according to claim 9 and a timepiece according to claim 11.
The accompanying figures schematically illustrate an embodiment of the control device according to the invention.

The control device according to the invention is intended to equip a watch movement and serves to actuate a function of said movement.
In the illustrated embodiment, the control device is intended to control the reassembly or setting the time of the watch movement. Said device comprises a control rod 1 and a control member, having the shape of a crown winding or setting time, designated simply by crown 2 in the following. According to the invention, the crown 2 can be mounted on the control rod 1 removably to thereby allow to change the crown 2 according to the desires of the user.
The control rod 1 is arranged to rotate and / or slide in a tube (not shown) mounted for example on the box (middle part) of the watch movement. The control rod 1 comprises a control end 12 intended to cooperate with the winding stem or setting the time of movement. Preferably, seals 13 seal between the tube (and therefore the movement box) and the control end 12 of the control rod 1.
The device according to the invention further comprises locking means for removably fixing the ring 2 on the control rod 1. The locking means comprise a first locking member 3 arranged to slide on the rod of command 1 and subjected to the action of a first elastic force 4 which tends to constrain in a first position, said locked position. The first locking element 3 is operable by a user who can therefore slide it relative to the control rod 1 against the action of the first elastic force 4. As illustrated in FIG. 6, the first locking element 3 comprises two tongues 30 each sliding in a corresponding trench 11 of the control rod 1.
The locking means further comprises two locking lugs 5. The locking lugs 5 are received in the control rod 1 and are arranged to slide relative to each other and relative to the rod of 1 in a plane substantially perpendicular to the plane of movement of the first locking element 3. The locking lugs 5 are subjected to the action of a second elastic force 6 which tends to move them away from each other in a first position, said locked position.
Each locking pin 5 has an active end 51 as well as first and second inclined sides 52, 53. Said active ends 51 and said inclined sides 52, 53 are intended to cooperate with the ring 2 and with the tongues 30 of FIG. first locking element 3. To do this, said tongues 30 each further comprise an opening 31 intended to receive an active end 51 of the locking lugs 5 and a first inclined blank 32 intended to cooperate with the first inclined flanks 52 of said end active 51.
In the locked position of the device, illustrated for example in FIG. 2, FIG. 3 or FIG. 7a, the locking lugs 5 are in their locked position constrained by the second elastic force 6 and the first locking element 3 is in its locked position constrained by the first elastic force 4. In this locked position, the first locking element 3 is in abutment against the locking lugs 5. More specifically, a first end 34 of each opening 31 of the tongues 30 is in abutment against its respective locking lug 5, pushed by the first elastic force 4. In addition, in this locked position , the active ends 51 of the locking lugs 5 and in particular their second inclined side 53, protrude from the openings 31 of the tongues 30 of the first locking element 3.
We now describe the mounting and locking of the ring 2 on the control rod 1. The ring 2 comprises a hole 23 for receiving the control rod 1 and the first locking member 3. When the means of locking are in their locked position as illustrated in FIG. 2, the lower edge 20 of the ring 2 that the user slides through its hole 23 on the control rod 1, abuts against the locking lugs 5 and their active end 51 which protrude from the first locking element 3.
By exerting a force on the ring 2 in a direction perpendicular to the second elastic force 6, the lower edge 20 of the ring 2 slides on the second inclined side 53 of the active ends 51 of the locking lugs 5, which leads to the displacement of said lugs 5 against the action of the second elastic force 6 in a second position, said unlocked position. In this unlocked position, the locking lugs 5 no longer protrude from the openings 30 of the first locking element 3 and no longer retain the ring 2 (but the lugs 5 still retain the first locking element 3 in its locked position). The ring 2 can thus be slid on the control rod 1 until the lower edge 20 of the ring 2 comes into abutment against a shoulder 10 of the control rod 1.
At this time, the locking lugs 5 are in front of a recess 21 formed inside the ring 2 and resume their locked position, pushed that they are by the second elastic force 6. The active ends 51 of the locking lugs 5 housed in the recess 21 of the ring 2 thus retain the ring 2 on the control rod 1. The ring 2 is thus locked on the control rod 1 as shown in Figs. 1 and 3.
Once locked on the control rod 1, the ring 2 is integral in translation of the control rod 1. Preferably, drive means further ensure the transmission of the torque of the ring 2 to the rod 1 and therefore the winding stem or setting the time of movement. To do this, the ring 2 has two housings 22 intended to each receive a pin 7 integral with the control rod 1. Once the ring 2 is locked on the control rod 1, the pins 7 arranged in their housing 22 thus allow make the control rod 1 integral in rotation with the crown 2. Any other appropriate means can be used to ensure the transmission of the torque of the control member to the control rod of the device. In particular, the locking means can be directly arranged to perform this function.
In the illustrated embodiment, the pins 7 and their housing 22 also form polarizing means for the angular positioning of the ring 2 on the control rod 1. In the embodiment illustrated, there is a two angular positions of the ring 2 relative to the control rod 1 in which said ring 2 can be locked on the control rod 1.
To remove the ring 2 of the control rod 1, the user must first exert a force on the first locking member 3 against the action of the first elastic force 4 (see Figure 4). The first locking element 3 thus slides relative to the control rod 1 and the inclined flanks 32 of the tongues 31 slide on the first inclined flanks 52 of the active ends 51 of the locking lugs 5. The inclined flanks 32, 52 of the tongues 31 and active ends 51 are shaped so that when sliding on one another, said lugs 5 move relative to each other against the action of the second elastic force 6 in their unlocked position in which they no longer retain the crown 2. By maintaining the force on the first locking element 3, the user can then, in a second step, remove the crown 2 of the control rod 1 (see Fig. 5). Once the ring 2 has been removed, the locking means, ie the first locking element 3 and the locking lugs 5, return to their locked position under the action of the first and second elastic forces 4, 6.
Thus, a control device in which the ring is removable relative to its control rod without harming the sealing of the watch. The user can change the crown at leisure, easily and without tools. The locking element 3, the lugs 5 and their respective resilient forces 4, 6 form in fact locking means, and more precisely latching, more easily manipulated than locking means that must be screwed or unscrewed.
In addition, the device can be arranged to prevent any risk of inadvertent actuation of the locking means which would cause the loss of the crown and is therefore very safe. In particular, in the illustrated embodiment, when the ring 2 is retained on the control rod 1, a force exerted on the ring 2 and directed along the longitudinal axis of the control rod 1 does not cause the displacement. of the locking element 3 and the locking lugs 5 in their unlocked position.
The above embodiment has been described by way of example and many variants are possible without departing from the scope of the present invention. In particular, the locking means could be carried by the crown, rather than by the control rod or partly by the crown and partly by the control rod. In addition, the present invention can be applied to any type of control member for a watch movement, in particular a pusher for controlling a function of the chronograph mechanism. In this case, it is necessary to adapt the locking means so that they are not actuated during the manipulation of the pusher for the control of the chronograph.
In general, the control device for a watch movement according to the invention comprises at least one control member (crown, button, etc.) and a control rod intended to be connected kinematically to the watch movement. for the control of a function (connected to the winding or time setting rod for example). The device further comprises locking means, preferably carried by the control member and / or the control rod and for fixing the control member on the control rod detachably.
In particular, the locking means are arranged to be movable between a locked position in which they retain the control member on the control rod and an unlocked position in which they no longer retain the control member which can then be disconnected from the control rod. In addition, when the control member is retained on the control rod by the locking means in their locked position, said control member is integral in translation and preferably in rotation with said control rod.
To prevent inadvertent unlocking of the control member and to facilitate handling of the device, the locking means are arranged so that, when they retain the control member on the control rod, a force exerted on the control member and directed along the longitudinal axis of the control rod does not cause the displacement of said locking means in their unlocked position. Preferably when they hold the control member on the control rod, a rotation of said locking means does not cause the displacement of said locking means in their unlocked position.
