Claims (7) [1] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The aim of the present invention is therefore to propose a capsule having thermochromic properties and photochromic properties. To this end, the invention relates to a capsule as defined in claim 1. In the first temperature range, the thermochromic particles and the photochromic particles are such that their densities are less than the density of the liquid. So they are suspended in the liquid. Since thermochromic particles are larger than photochromic particles, the predominant effect in the capsule is thermochromism. In the second temperature range, higher than the first, the liquid has a lower density than in the first range. Thermochromic particles are such that their density is greater than the density of the liquid, while photochromic particles are such that their density is less than the density of the liquid. Thus the thermochromic particles flow while the thermochromic particles remain in suspension: the predominant effect in the capsule is therefore photochromism. Other advantageous features of the invention are given in claims 2 to 7. These features can be considered independently or in any technically possible combination. Detailed description of the preferred embodiments [0011] FIG. 1 shows a capsule comprising a transparent waterproof shell. The shell contains a transparent liquid which does not form a barrier to ultraviolet rays, is thermally conductive and has high thermal expansion at a preferred temperature, which we will denote by Tx. It can for example be an oily mixture between a liquid paraffin having a melting temperature Tx and glycerin. The shell also contains two types of particles. The first particles are coated with a thermochromic coating, they will be called thermochromic particles. The second particles are coated with a photochromic coating, they will be called photochromic particles. These particles are in the form of spheres and can therefore flow more easily (unlike lamellar particles). The thermochromic and photochromic coatings are chosen so as to resist the oily medium. They are also selected so as to have a colored transition threshold making it possible to give interesting information, in particular to a wearer of a timepiece or of jewelry, in the case where the capsule is placed on a wall of said piece. This information can be a temperature, a light intensity, an ultraviolet level dangerous to health, etc. CH 714 049 A2 The thermochromic particles and the photochromic particles have, for example, a diameter of between 100 to 500 microns. In addition, the volume of thermochromic particles is greater than the volume of photochromic particles. Finally, the density of thermochromic particles is higher than the density of photochromic particles. In a first temperature range, for example between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius, the density of the liquid is greater than the density of the thermochromic particles and the density of the photochromic particles. Thus, the thermochromic particles and the photochromic particles are suspended in the liquid. However, the photochromic particles are masked by the thermochromic particles which have a larger volume and therefore a greater chromatic power. Thus, the dominant aesthetic effect in the capsule is thermochromism. In a second temperature range comprising higher temperatures than those of the first range, for example from 10 to 30 degrees Celsius, the liquid has a density lower than that which it had in the first temperature range. The density of the liquid is such that it is greater than the density of the photochromic particles, but less than the density of the thermochromic particles. Thus, the denser thermochromic particles sediment, that is to say flow and settle at the bottom of the hull. On the contrary, the photochromic particles remain in suspension. The dominant aesthetic effect in the capsule is therefore photochromism. Note that in one embodiment, the shell also contains a third type of particles, photoluminescent particles, allowing to see the colored transitions at night. Of course, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example but is susceptible to various variants and modifications which will appear to those skilled in the art. claims 1.
