Description
Technical Field [0001] The present invention relates to a packaging device for transporting watch components, especially watch glasses, which may have different geometries and thicknesses.
BACKGROUND ART [0002] To date, there are various packaging for the transport and handling of watch glasses. There may be mentioned cardboard packaging where many glasses are stored in a substantially vertical position with either a sheet of cardboard placed between each glass, or with an individual envelope receiving each glass. We can also mention the plastic trays subdivided into individual housing receiving the glass in a horizontal position. These packaging have various disadvantages in the life stages of the product (manufacture, washing, delivery, storage, visiting, mounting, etc.) that affect the costs, ease of handling and ultimately the integrity of the glass and its possible surface treatment. In particular, the aforementioned packages do not allow optimal grip of the glass during manual or automatic handling. Similarly, they do not guarantee optimum maintenance of the glass during transport. Moreover, the housings are generally dimensioned for a given geometry and dimensions of the glass, a change in the diameter or the thickness of the glass requiring a new packaging. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0003] In order to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages, the object of the present invention is to propose a universal packaging device, ie adapted to accommodate watch glasses of varying diameters and thicknesses, while guaranteeing the quality of the product. The goal is to standardize packaging to ultimately reduce the costs of washing, storage, handling and automation. To guarantee the quality of the product that emerges from it, the present invention also aims to develop a packaging device that ensures the maintenance of the glass in three dimensions during transport and handling.
For this purpose, the present invention relates to a device for conditioning a watch component, in particular a watch glass, comprising a receptacle with two longitudinal walls comprising a plurality of notches arranged vis-à-vis -vis in pairs, with each pair forming the branches of a V-shaped housing or truncated V for receiving the watch component.
With this particular geometry, the housing can accommodate glasses of different diameters that support different heights on the branches of V. This V-shaped housing allows to center the glass in the housing and wedge it transversely in position. This V-shaped housing has the further advantage that it releases the faces of the glass for easy gripping both manual and automatic by a robotic arm provided at its end with a suction cup for example or another gripping system. It also allows access to the edge of the glass at its horizontal diameter for gripping with tweezers or a lateral automatic gripping system.
According to the invention, the V-shaped housing is delimited by branches which themselves have a V-shaped profile which allows to receive glasses of different thicknesses and to limit the movements of the glass in the longitudinal direction of the receptacle. This geometry with notches having a V profile has the other advantage that the glass is supported on the branches of the V-shaped profile only via its edge and more precisely on the bevelled edges of the glass, which makes it possible to avoid contact with the treated faces of the glass.
Advantageously, the packaging device according to the invention comprises a lid provided with recesses for receiving the edge of the glass in its upper part to also limit the vertical displacements of the latter. Alternatively, the cover may be wholly or partly formed of an elastic compression system (for example a holding foam) which also aims to limit the vertical movements of the glass and the swinging of the parts.
The packaging device thus developed forms a box with a single or almost unique outer size that facilitates automation and storage while accommodating a wide range of geometries and glass thicknesses.
Other advantages will emerge from the features expressed in the claims, the detailed description of the invention illustrated below with the aid of the accompanying drawings given by way of non-limiting examples.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [0012] The present invention relates to a device for conditioning watch components. The present invention is more specifically described for the packaging of a watch glass whose transport and handling are particularly critical. However, the packaging device according to the invention can be used for other watch components such as the bezel, the plate, the bottom, the flange, the dial, etc.
The packaging device 1 shown inter alia in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a receptacle 2 which can be closed by a lid 3. The receptacle 2 can be of a single block or formed of several parts as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2c. The receptacle 2 comprises a base 2a defining an X-Y plane with the Y axis corresponding to the longitudinal axis of the receptacle and the X axis corresponding to the transverse axis of the receptacle.
The base 2a is surmounted by longitudinal walls 4 standing in a direction Z perpendicular to the X-Y plane. These walls 4 have on their inner face a plurality of notches 4a arranged vis-à-vis. Each pair of notches 4a vis-à-vis delimits a housing for receiving the watch glass 5. This housing allows the positioning of the watch glass in a vertical position perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Y of the receptacle, ie. d. that it is located in the X-Z plane. According to the invention, each pair of notches draws a truncated V or V. In other words, the notches of a pair respectively form the branches of a truncated V or V. Furthermore, the packaging device has another feature that each notch 4a has a V profile facing inwardly of the housing. As shown in fig. 6, the V-shaped housing allows to position at different heights glasses 5 having different diameters. As shown in FIG. 3, the V-shaped profile of the notches 4a can accommodate glasses 5 having different thicknesses with a contact between the V-shaped profile and the glass being effected on the bevels of the glass, ie. at the junction between a glass face and its edge.
The pairs of notches are arranged at intervals, possibly regular, along the Y axis with a space between the pairs for gripping each glass as well as a facilitated advance of the visit. This space may, for example, be between 1 and 10 mm. The number of pairs of notches is not limited and can accommodate several dozen glasses.
The volume defined by the longitudinal walls 4 may be completely free (Figures 2b and 2c) or contain partitions 6 separating the different housing (Figure 1). In the latter case, the housings are separated by two non-contiguous partitions respectively extending from each wall with sufficient space between the partitions to allow the gripping of a face of the glass.
The receptacle according to the invention allows to position glasses having thicknesses typically between 0.5 and 5mm thick. The entire thickness range can be covered by a single V-shaped profile of the notches ie. for a V-shaped profile having a given angle between the branches, which, for example, can be between 20 ° and 120 °, preferably close to 60 °. Regarding the diameter, the range to cover is wide with values mainly between 10 and 50 mm. The distance between the notches of a pair, i.e. the spacing between the longitudinal walls, as well as the angle between the branches of the V-shaped housing will determine the min and max diameters that can be received. A single geometry of the V-shaped housing (spacing between the longitudinal walls, angle between the branches) may not be sufficient to cover the entire range between 10 and 50 mm. In this respect, FIG. 9 schematically illustrates the influence of the spacing D between the longitudinal walls 4 on the minimum and maximum diameters that can be accommodated in the V-shaped housing. To cover the entire range, two or three receptacles with housing geometries. in V different can be made. Alternatively, the distance between the longitudinal walls and / or the opening angle of the branches can be modulated within the same receptacle with a width of the receptacle modeled on the greater distance between the walls. Typically the distance D between the external faces of the walls 4 facing each other may be between 30 and 65 mm to cover the range of diameters 10-50 mm and the opening angle of the branches of the V-shaped housing for this The same range may be between 20 and 120 °, preferably close to 60 °.
According to the invention, the base 2a may be provided with one or more openings 2b allowing the flow of fluids, for example rinsing liquids (FIG 1) or blowing the pieces to dry. The opening is preferably made at the truncated portion of the V, this opening possibly being continuous and connect all the truncated parts.
The receptacle 2 may be of a single block with an outer shell 2c having the longitudinal walls 4, the base 2a and optionally the partitions 6 at the longitudinal ends (Figure 1). According to a variant, the receptacle 2 may be formed of several adjustable parts (FIG 2c). In this case, the longitudinal walls 4 may be framed by a casing 2c integral with the base 2a. The envelope 2c and its base 2a may be a tray in which the longitudinal walls 4 are optionally arranged with a centering piece 7 between the base 2a and the longitudinal walls 4 (Figures 2c and 6). The two longitudinal walls 4 and the centering piece 7 may also be in several separate parts or a block.
During transport, the receptacle 2 is closed by a lid 3 preferably transparent or semi-transparent to be able to view the contents of the receptacle. The lid 3 is provided on its inner upper surface with housings 9 to receive the upper edge of the glass and block the movements of the glass along the axis Z (Figures 2a and 6). The housings may be formed in the thickness of the lid or in inserts 10 as shown in FIG. 2a. These housings preferably have a V-shaped profile making it possible to accommodate different thicknesses of lenses and to limit the movements along the Y axis. According to a variant not shown, the cover may be wholly or partly formed of an elastic element, for example a holding foam with, preferably, an inner preform provided with housing. For example, the upper edge of the glass can be held in position by a strip of foam attached to the center of the inner face of the lid.
Depending on the diameter of the glass, the height of the centering piece 7 can be adapted to ensure the maintenance of each glass in the housing 9 as shown in Figs. 7a and 7b. Preferably, the height of the centering piece is constant over the entire length of the receptacle to accommodate in all notches glasses of the same diameter.
Advantageously, the packaging device is provided with fixing means between the lid and the receptacle. For example, the attachment between the receptacle 2 and the cover 3 can be provided by a notch closure 8 with a single level (FIG 6) or several levels (FIG 8a and 8b) for accommodating different diameters of glass without having to change the height of the centering piece.
Advantageously, the receptacle 2 is provided on its outer shell 2c with a protruding portion 2d which serves as a bearing surface when the receptacle 2 is placed on the lid 3, and possibly a bearing surface to the lid 3 when it closes the receptacle (Fig. 2a, 2b and 5). This projecting portion 2d is biased on the longitudinal faces of the envelope 2c and cooperates with the corresponding inclined edges 3a of the lid 3. Thus, the receptacle 2 rests on the lid 3 in an inclined plane, which facilitates handling manual.
The packaging device according to the invention comprising the receptacle closed by the lid forms a substantially parallelepipedal box. According to the invention, the boxes can be stacked and sized to fit together. They may possibly be provided with identification means such as a 1D or 2D barcode, an RFID tag, indexing references, etc. or simply different colors depending on the product, quality, etc. Legend [0025] (1) Packaging device (2) Receptacle (a) Base (b) Opening (c) Outer casing (d) Projecting part (3) Cover (a) Edge (4) Longitudinal wall (a) Notch (5) Watch component and, in particular, watch glass (6) Partition partition (7) Centering piece (8) Locking closure (9) Housing (10) Insert
