    As fuel charcoal and combustible gases are widely used. EP 0 653 917 B1 discloses a gas grill for outdoor use in which gas burners are arranged annularly in the bottom area of a spherical container.

    The object of the invention is now to improve such a device for cooking food or the like, reporting the disadvantages of the prior art on. In particular, it should be easy to manufacture and flexible to handle and also serve decorative purposes.
    The problem is solved with the characterizing features of claim 1. The grill according to the invention comprises a steel grill body with lateral walls and an open heating surface at the top of the grill body. Here, the grill body is provided with a closed bottom and in a lower portion of the grill body is an extendable drawer, at least for fuel residue and in the region of the top of the grill body is a support for a heating surface arranged.

    The grill according to the invention preferably has a basic cubic shape with a square or rectangular cross section, but may also have a cylindrical basic shape with a round or elliptical cross section. Also possible are triangular or polygonal or semi-circular cross sections.
