In a method for generating an electronic artwork which is associated with a visual content file, first data is first acquired on a first terminal (20). On a visual display device (21) of the first terminal (20), a representation of a first identification information is displayed. With a camera (31) of a second terminal (30), a first recording of the representation is generated. On the second terminal (30), a second identification information is generated from the first recording. A second shot is provided on the second terminal (30). The second identification information and the second recording are transmitted to a server (10). The second identification information and the first identification information are adjusted. The second recording is then transmitted from the server (10) to the first terminal (20). Second data are now recorded on the first terminal (20). The second shot is associated with the first and / or second data to obtain the electronic artwork. The method makes it possible to provide the visual content file to be assigned to the electronic print template on a second terminal (30), whereby a simple procedure is followed and the user does not manually transmit references or files from the second terminal (30) to the first terminal (20) got to. This is particularly advantageous if this second terminal (30) is more suitable for the provision than the first terminal (20).

Description Technical Field The invention relates to a method of generating an electronic artwork associated with a visual content file.
Background Art [0002] Methods for generating electronic artwork with a user's visual content are known. This also applies to the production of print templates for postage stamps, which include, in addition to the usual elements for indicating the franking, to prevent abuse, etc., for example, by a user generated or selected image content.
For example, DE 20 2006 001 885 U1 (Deutsche Post AG) describes a personalized mailing object, e.g. an envelope or postcard with a stamp area that includes a customizable image area and the graphical representation of encrypted information. The image area can be selected by the sender individually or from a selection of predefined motifs. The underlying image can be uploaded by the sender. The encrypted information comprises, in particular, data of the purchaser of the postal product, data about a purchase transaction and / or data about the postal product itself, e.g. a clear identification. Further, the stamp area may contain other elements such as e.g. have the postage value or an advertising imprint.
The visual content does not necessarily have to be part of the artwork itself, the latter may also include a reference to such data. Also, the linking of artwork, e.g. for postage stamps, with multimedia content is already known. Thus, US 9,286,558 (Isaac S. Daniel) describes an interactive stamp having an encoded image with an interactive frame that is scanned for linking to multimedia content, e.g. with the camera of a mobile device.
In known services, the production of such print templates, in particular for Postwertzeichen, usually takes place on a web platform. This can be accessed and used both with end devices such as desktop or notebook computers as well as with mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Basically, the generation is on a large screen terminal with full keyboard, e.g. a desktop or notebook computer more comfortable. On the other hand, the availability of visual content (videos, images, etc.) is generally better on popular smartphones today. On the one hand, such content is often generated directly with the smartphone and is thus immediately available on the device; on the other hand, the contents can be opened up Smartphones often easier to handle. Both the generation of the above-mentioned print template on a computer such as a desktop computer or a notebook computer and the generation of the print template on a mobile device so each have their advantages and disadvantages.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is to provide a method which belongs to the technical field mentioned above and which enables a comfortable and flexible generation of the print original.
The solution of the problem is defined by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps: a) acquiring first data on a first terminal; b) displaying a representation of a first identification information on a visual display device of the first terminal; c) generating a first shot of the display with a camera of a second terminal; d) generating a second identification information from the first recording on the second terminal; e) providing a second recording on the second terminal; f) transmitting the second identification information and the second recording to a server; g) matching the second identification information and the first identification information; h) transmitting the second recording from the server to the first terminal; i) acquiring second data on the first terminal; j) associating the second capture with the first and / or second data to obtain the electronic artwork.
[0008] The visual content file associated with the artwork is to be understood as meaning a particular amount of data in a particular format or formats which, among other things, represent image and / or video information. It can be a single file in the strict sense or multiple files that represent different parts of the visual content or are needed collectively to reproduce the content.
The detected on the first terminal first and second data may include different content and include, for example, further information needed for the generation or further use of the print template. However, it is also possible that the first data comprises merely information that the subsequent steps for assigning the visual contents should be triggered. Likewise, the second data may merely comprise an acknowledgment, after which the transmitted second record is accepted for linking. In any case, the provision of the second recording on the second terminal is incorporated in a process which comprises interaction steps between the user and the provider of the service, both before and after, which take place via the first terminal.
The representation of the first identification information on the visual display device of the first terminal may be static, in the form of an image, or dynamically, in the form of a video or a moving image. Accordingly, the first shot may also be a static shot (photo) or a dynamic shot (video). The first image does not have to be stored on the second device, it may be a snapshot (or several snapshots) during a scan process, which is evaluated to obtain the identification information.
In the second identification information, which is generated on the second terminal, it is in particular a numeric or alphanumeric representation of the detected representation of the first identification information. This representation may be identical to the first identification information used to generate the representation. However, methods are also conceivable in which a different (second) identification information results from the decoding of the representation, but which can be assigned to the first identification information. Alternatively, the second identification information is a representation of the first shot (e.g., an image or video file). The decoding or assignment then follows in a later step and, for example, only on the server side.
The provision of the second recording on the second terminal can be carried out in various ways: a) by the direct recording by means of the camera integrated in the second terminal; b) by the choice of a previously stored on the second terminal image or video file; or c) by selecting an image or video file which is stored on a remote storage (e.g., cloud storage) and accessible by the second terminal.
The matching of the second identification information and the first identification information serves to ensure that the second recording received by the second terminal can be assigned to the correct generation process. This is necessary so that the second recording can be transmitted to the first terminal and thus the desired link is made possible. The transmission to the first terminal is necessary so that the sender can check again and release the record to be linked.
This can also be done in different ways: a) The first identification information may include information that allows the server, the second recording directly to the first terminal or to a server of the service provider on which the inventive method runs ( eg as part of a web application) ("push"). On the server of the service provider, if necessary, a comparison of the first identification information with the second identification information to determine the affected generation process. b) the first terminal or the server of the service provider sends a request to the server, which includes the first identification information (or data derived therefrom), so that the server in return the second recording to the server of the service provider (or directly to the first terminal) can transmit ("pull"). c) The server to which the second recording is transmitted by the second terminal, it may be the server of the service provider itself. In this case, the generation process is determined directly on the basis of the obtained second identification information, after which the transmission of the second recording to the first terminal can take place.
The adjustment is thus carried out in particular on the server of the service provider or on the server on which the second recording is received by the second terminal. The transmission to the first terminal can via server of the
Service provider (in which the recording is cached, in particular, on this server) or it takes place directly to the first terminal, e.g. in that the server of the service provider forwards a reference to a URL to the first terminal, wherein the URL references a file on the server that corresponds to the second recording.
The second recording does not have to be transmitted by the server in unmodified form, as obtained from the second terminal, to the server of the service provider or to the first terminal. It can be processed on the server as detailed below.
The linkage is ultimately on the first terminal or the server of the service provider. It can consist in that the second shot (in particular a photograph) is taken directly into the print template as an image component. However, it can also be that a reference to the second recording is inserted into the print template, in particular a machine-readable code which allows access to a file held on a suitable server, the file representing the second recording. Both options can be combined by e.g. a reproduction of the visual information (image, image section, still image of a video, etc.) is included as an image component in the print template and at the same time a reference is inserted into the print template.
The inventive method allows provision of the electronic artwork to be assigned file with visual content on a second terminal, with a simple procedure is followed and the user does not manually submit references or files from the second to the first terminal. This is particularly advantageous if this second terminal is more suitable for the provision than the first terminal. The second terminal comprises, for example, detection means for generating the visual contents, such as a camera. This may be more suitable for detection than corresponding detection means of the first terminal, e.g. enables higher image quality or is more mobile or more versatile. The second terminal may also provide easier access to existing visual content by including a library of corresponding content or directly coupled to a cloud service providing such content. The integration of the second terminal by the inclusion of the presentation of the first identification information by means of the camera of the second terminal is intuitive, simple and does not require any other connection between the first and the second terminal.
The advantages that the first terminal offers as well as which the second terminal offers, can thus be combined.
Preferably, the second terminal is a mobile device, in particular a smartphone. Smartphones each include a camera with which photos or videos can be recorded. This serves both to generate the first shot and to provide the second shot. Although other devices such as desktop or notebook computers today also usually include a camera ("webcam"), the cameras of smartphones often allow a higher image quality, are easier to use and more mobile.
Smartphones also generally have a media library in which visual content is stored. These may be earlier shots taken with the camera of the smartphone or third-party shots. Also, access to photos or videos stored on a cloud server is usually readily possible.
Instead of a smartphone, the second terminal may also be a tablet computer, another notebook or desktop computer or a recording device (camera or video camera) with communication connection.
The second recording is in particular a video recording. Especially with such recordings, the inclusion of other devices is often useful. The recording may include sound information in addition to the visual information.
Alternatively, the second shot is an image capture. The inventive method can be designed so that the sender can freely choose whether he provides an image or a video (or possibly several media same or different type) on the second terminal. However, the media type can also be fixed, or the sender must select the media type as part of the collection of the first data.
Advantageously, the second recording is generated with a camera of the second terminal. This generation can take place during the course of the method according to the invention, or the recording has already been made previously and is available on the second terminal. As already mentioned, media which have not been generated with the camera of the second terminal can alternatively also be provided.
The representation of the first identification information is preferably a machine-readable code, in particular a two-dimensional code. This is easy to capture and process, e.g. for obtaining the second identification information in the form of a numeric or alphanumeric character string.
The two-dimensional code may in particular be a QR code. This can be read with applications that are usually available on mobile devices.
Instead of a QR code or other static two-dimensional code, e.g. also one-dimensional codes conceivable or moving codes that are captured via a video recording.
Advantageously, the second terminal accesses a run on the server web application based on the second identification information. Thus, no specific application must be installed on the second terminal to create the print template. Because the web application runs on the same server as the web platform, both applications can easily access shared data. These can be stored, for example, in a database to which both the web application and the web platform have access.
In this case, the second identification information is preferably a URL. This can lead the user directly to the web application. If an application available on popular mobile devices detects that a captured QR code encodes a URL, it will usually automatically redirect the user to the appropriate web page. It must therefore be installed on the sender side no additional programs on the second terminal for the inventive method.
Preferably, a status information is held on the server, wherein the first terminal requests the status information automatically and triggers the detection of the second data in a given change of the status information. The automated request can be repeated, for example, at predetermined intervals.
With the help of this status information, the transfer from the first terminal to the second terminal and in particular from the second terminal to the first terminal can be done easily and reliably. It can be ensured that the user on the respective terminal device can only trigger those actions which are meaningful to the respective time point of the method represented by the status information.
The electronic artwork may include a reference to the second shot stored on the server. The print template allows the recipient of the printed matter thus generated to access the second record by accessing the second server based on the reference to a terminal and via a data connection (e.g., via the Internet).
The reference can be represented by a machine-readable code, in particular a two-dimensional code. This can be easily captured and processed. The two-dimensional code can be a QR code or a different type of data matrix code. Instead of a QR code or other two-dimensional code, e.g. even one-dimensional codes conceivable.
Alternatively (or additionally), the second image (or a temporal and / or segmental section thereof) is integrated directly into the artwork, namely as an image component.
Preferably, acquiring second data comprises releasing the second receptacle for association with the first and / or second data. The sender thus has the option of rechecking and explicitly releasing the second recording before final linking.
Advantageously, acquiring second data comprises editing the second recording. The user thus has the opportunity to customize the second recording with regard to the link to the artwork. For example, the recording can be temporally and / or partially cropped, brightness, contrast or color adjustments can be made. Furthermore, for example, annotations as well as fades, fades or fades can be added. For videos, which are provided with a soundtrack, these can also be adjusted if necessary.
Advantageously, in the transmission of the second recording to the server, an automatic compression and / or an automatic adjustment of the image size and / or an automatic quality inspection. These processing steps can take place on the server and connect directly to the reception of the recording. They can also run on another computer (for example as part of a web service) and, if necessary, take place on the server before being received.
In the print template is in particular a template for printing a postage stamp, in particular a stamp. This is printed on the sender side and applied to a mail item to be franked.
The artwork may also be a template for generating a mailing. The mailpiece is, for example, a postcard. This can be physically generated on the part of the postal service provider and entered in the shipping process.
From the following detailed description and the totality of the claims, there are further advantageous embodiments and feature combinations of the invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The drawings used to explain the embodiment show:
1 shows a block diagram of an arrangement for carrying out the method according to the invention;
2 shows a flow chart of the method according to the invention;
3A, B is a schematic representation of the screen content on the first terminal during two phases of the inventive method; and
Fig. 4 is a Postwertzeichen, which was generated by the inventive method.
Basically, the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals in the figures.
Modes for Carrying out the Invention The described embodiment relates to the creation of a stamp for a stamp by a sender. These stamps can be printed and pasted onto a mailing. They include a two-dimensional code that includes a reference to a video file stored on a server. The recipient of the mailed mailpiece may read that code (e.g., a data matrix code) and access the video file.
Fig. 1 shows a block diagram of an arrangement for carrying out the inventive method. FIG. 2 is a flowchart representing the procedure of the method.
The sender who wishes to create the stamp, logs on to a corresponding web platform of a service provider, in particular a postal service provider, which is entitled to issue of stamps, (step 101). This web platform is provided by a server 10 of the service provider. For this he uses in the example shown a desktop computer 20 as a terminal. This is provided with a screen 21 and a keyboard 22. The sender then selects the product "video stamp" and is subsequently routed through the first part of the generation process (step 102).
First, the sender selects which stamp to be generated by selecting the desired franking or entering information about the planned mailing (format, weight, shipping method, destination country).
Next, the sender selects whether to a) select and upload a video file from a local memory of the used terminal, b) record a new video on the terminal used with the webcam, or c) a new video on a mobile terminal (eg Smartphone) or want to record.
In cases a) and b), the file is already present in the terminal used or is generated as part of the production process with a camera connected to the terminal used (e.g., webcam). With regard to the illustrated invention, case c) is of particular interest. This will be described in more detail below.
The sender thus selects the option c) by clicking on a corresponding button (step 103). In a database 11 of the server 10 of the service provider, a token is created for synchronization between the desktop computer 20 on the one hand and a mobile terminal 30 of the sender on the other hand (step 104). This comprises the following components: a) a hash (in particular in the form of an alphanumeric unique value), b) an expiry time (eg 5 minutes), c) a status (eg initially created), d) an identification information, namely a user Identification (if the user is logged in and thus already known) or a session identification (if the user is not logged in), and e) a video URL.
From the URL of a web application running on the server, optionally further information (e.g., the currently selected language on the web platform) and the hash, a combined URL is generated. This is, for example: https://video.webstamp.ch/de/record.html hash=t7GnP03EzQxv6LyG29 From this, a QR code 41 is generated (step 105). This is then displayed on the screen 21 of the desktop computer 20 (step 106). This is done in a window 40, which is shown in front of the usual user interface of the web platform ("overlay"). 3A shows a schematic view of the display on the screen 21. The sender is also requested to scan the code with his mobile terminal 30 and then follow the further instructions on the mobile terminal 30.
The scanning of the QR code 41 shown on the screen 21 is performed with a camera 31 of the mobile terminal 30, controlled by an application (app) on the mobile terminal 30, which is designed for the scanning of QR codes (step 107). It may be a native application of the mobile device 30 or a web application. Furthermore, the application can come from the service provider or third party. The QR code is decoded (step 108). In this example, the encoded URL is retrieved. On the basis of this, the sender is then directed on his mobile device to the URL corresponding to the URL, running on the server 10 web application, and the other information and the hash are transmitted to the server 10 (step 109). Because it is a URL and the forwarding to a QR-coded web address to the standard functionality of applications for scanning QR codes counts, in the present case, a common such application can be used.
In the illustrated embodiment, a mobile optimized web application is then displayed on the mobile device 30, which accesses the same database 11 as the web platform, the desktop computer 20 accesses (step 110).
By calling the mobile web application is noted in the database 11 on the server 10 in the context of the token that the synchronization has occurred, the status is set to "paired" (step 111).
On the desktop computer 20, during the expiration time periodically (e.g., every 5 seconds), it is polled whether the status of the token has changed from "created" to "paired" (step 112). If so, in the overlay window 40, instead of the QR code 41, the information appears that a recording device has been successfully synchronized (handshake icon 42 as in FIG. 3B) but no video has yet been stored (step 113). The periodic polling continues, now checking to see if the status changes from "paired" to "recorded" (step 114).
On the mobile terminal, the web application now offers the sender the following options (step 115): a) record video with the camera 31 of the mobile terminal 30, b) locally select video stored on the mobile terminal 30, or c ) select video stored on a cloud server 50.
In all three cases, there is ultimately a video stored locally on the mobile terminal 30. This is then sent by the mobile terminal 30 via the web application to the server 10 (step 116) and stored in its database 11 (step 117). (In the case of option c), it is also conceivable that the video is transmitted directly from the cloud server 50 to the given server 10.) If necessary, an automatic recoding into a predefined format and / or a compression takes place (eg by reduction) the image size and or color depth to given values) (step 118).
The server 10 returns a video URL to the mobile terminal 30 via the web application (step 119). The sender thus has the opportunity to play the uploaded video. By selecting a button "Apply video", the sender can confirm the selection (step 120). The status is changed from "paired" to "recorded" (step 121), which is detected by the desktop computer due to periodic queries. In addition, the sender is prompted by a corresponding display on a screen of the mobile terminal to continue the creation process on the used terminal (desktop computer) (step 122).
Now that the status change to "recorded" has been determined, the video URL is loaded on the desktop computer (step 123). The web platform presents a still image 43 ("thumbnail") of the video in the previously empty window of the overlay window 40 (step 124). The sender may click on the still image (or a superimposed icon 44) to start playing the video (step 125). If the video is to be associated with the stamp, the sender can confirm the choice of the video by clicking on a corresponding button 45 (step 126). The status is then set to "approved" (step 127) and the overlay window 40 is closed (step 128). If a change is still necessary, a video can again be selected or recorded on the mobile terminal 30.
After confirming the selection of the video, further steps follow in the process of creating the stamp (step 129). In particular, addresses are entered, printing options are selected, a purchase process is carried out, and finally the stamp or stamps are printed out. The sender's interaction with the service provider's server 10 is again via the desktop computer 20.
A corresponding stamp 60 is shown in FIG. It includes an image 61 which includes instructions for the receiver to play the deposited video. Specifically, a URL is provided, via which a mobile app for this purpose can be retrieved. Furthermore, pictograms are shown, which symbolize the scanning of a data matrix code (see below) and the playback of the video. Alternatively (or additionally), the image may also be generated from information received during the generation process and may, for example, be a still image of the captured video or an uploaded by the sender or on the web platform

selected picture. The stamp includes postage information 62 (value, shipping type, unique identification number, etc.) and additionally a data matrix code 63 which encodes numeric data. This numerical data is uniquely associated with the URL of the video uploaded and accepted by the sender on the server 10 of the service provider. The receiver may use the data matrix code 63 as shown in Figure 61 with a specific application of the service provider e.g. Scan with his mobile device and recover the numerical data. The application communicates with the server 10 of the service provider, so that the video URL can be determined based on the numerical data and the video can be displayed on the terminal of the recipient. The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. Thus, the code displayed on the web platform need not be a representation of a URL. Different types of data can also be encoded. In this case, a native application is usually required on the mobile device, which can process these different types of data. Similarly, the capture and upload of the video (or other visual content) can be done on a native application on the mobile device. This application may be identical to that for scanning the code, or it may be a separate application. In the illustrated embodiment, the server of the service provider serves both as a web server for the web platform, for the mobile platform for providing and uploading the video, and also for storing and keeping the video available to the receiver. These tasks can be handled by separate servers. The provisioning and uploading can also be carried out by an application running on the mobile terminal. In summary, it should be noted that the invention provides a method for generating an electronic artwork, which allows a comfortable and flexible creation of a print template, which is associated with a visual content file. claims
