专利摘要:
Described is a wire mesh cage (1) comprising a first wire mesh mat (10) and a second wire mesh mat (11), the wire mesh mats being opposed to each other and spaced apart (D). The spacing of the wire mesh mats (10, 11) from one another defines a thickness (D) of the wire mesh basket, and defines a space between the wire mesh mats (10, 11). Furthermore, at least one connection and spacer element is arranged between the wire mesh mat (10, 11), which connection and spacer element is connected to each of the wire mesh mats (10, 11). At least one connecting and spacing element between the wire mesh mats is a connecting plate (12, 14) extending with an areal extent between the opposed wire mesh mats.

description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present description relates to a wire mesh basket according to the preamble of claim 1. It also relates to a separating device. The separation device is, for example, a fence or a fence element, a privacy screen, a property fence, a partition, fall protection, sound insulation, wind protection and the like.
TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND It is known to use wire mesh baskets, so-called gabions, which are filled with different materials depending on the intended use, for example to isolate noise or from an aesthetic point of view , For example, stones, glass, wood, fibers, mats and the like are used for the filling. The wire mesh baskets consist of two wire mesh mats which are spaced apart and arranged opposite one another, between which the filling material is introduced. The wire mesh mats enclose a space between them and are connected to each other by means of spacing and connecting elements. The size of the filler material that can be used is of course dependent on the mesh size of the wire mesh as well as on the thickness of the wire mesh basket.
If the wire mesh baskets are designed according to the prior art with rod-shaped or lattice-shaped spacing and connecting elements, they are comparatively unstable. For example, a kind of shearing or sliding movement of the wire mesh mats against one another can occur, in which the wire mesh mats “slide” relative to one another and move towards one another while maintaining the plane spanned by them. These wire mesh baskets according to the prior art usually only acquire a certain stiffness when they are filled or when they are otherwise suitably fastened, for example between two fence posts.
PRESENTATION OF THE OBJECT OF THE PRESENT DESCRIPTION In the context of the present description, a wire mesh basket is specified. According to certain aspects of the present description, the proposed wire mesh basket is to offer an improvement over the prior art described above. In a more specific perspective, the wire mesh basket offers improved inherent stability. According to even more specific aspects, a wire mesh basket is specified, which offers extended aesthetic design options.
This is achieved by means of the object specified in claim 1.
[0006] Further effects and advantages of the objects described here, whether explicitly stated or not, result in the light of the present description.
Accordingly, a wire mesh basket is described, comprising a first wire mesh mat and a second wire mesh mat, the wire mesh mats being arranged opposite one another and at a distance from one another. Each of the wire mesh mats spans a surface that can be flat, curved or curved. A thickness of the wire mesh basket is defined by the distance between the wire mesh mats or the respective surfaces. A space is defined between the wire mesh mats. At least one connecting and spacing element is arranged between the wire mesh mats, which connecting and spacing element is connected to each of the wire mesh mats and in particular is fastened to it or joined to the wire mesh mat. At least one connecting and spacing element between the wire mesh mats is a connecting plate that extends with a surface extension between the opposing wire mesh mats, or from one of the wire mesh mats to the other. In this respect, it is readily apparent to a person skilled in the art that a sheet has a thickness and spans a surface. The surface defines two surface extensions that extend along the surface, for example a length and a width. Incidentally, the surface extensions can, of course, also be defined on a curved or curved plate, in a manner that is easy for the person skilled in the art to understand. One of the surface extensions extends between the wire mesh mats or from one wire mesh mat to the other. In other words, the surface spanned by the connecting plate encloses a non-zero angle with each surface spanned by a wire mesh mat. The connecting plate is therefore not parallel to any of the wire mesh mats.
"A" or "an" are to be understood in the context of the present description as an indefinite article and not as a numerical word, unless explicitly referred to another meaning, for example by using "exactly one" or "exactly one" ,
It is understood that a connecting plate has an outstanding rigidity against tangential shear forces acting on the surface spanned by the plate. In this way, the spaced-apart wire mesh mats are excellently reinforced, at least against a relative displacement parallel to a surface spanned by the connecting plate, and the intrinsic stability of the wire mesh basket is significantly improved. The wire mesh basket is therefore easier to handle and easier to assemble.
CH 712 803 A2 In this context, a connecting plate can also be bent or curved. Bent is to be understood in such a way that there is a bend only around one bend axis. Arched is understood to mean a three-dimensional deformation with several bending axes. A connecting plate does not necessarily have to be flat, but can, for example, also be bent into a tube with a round or polygonal cross section. The outer surface of the tube represents the surface of the connecting plate. In particular, the axis of the tube mentioned extends from one of the opposing wire mesh mats to the other.
The at least one connecting plate is connected or joined to the wire mesh mats by a suitable connection. Here, for example, a welded, soldered or adhesive connection or another non-positive, material or form-fitting joint connection can be used, which offers the required strength of the connection between the wire mesh mat and the connecting plate. For example, the wire mesh mat is a stainless steel wire mesh mat and / or the connecting plate is a stainless steel plate. A stainless steel version offers the highest weather resistance and can meet the highest aesthetic standards. Depending on the desired aesthetic effect, other materials can also be used. For example, ordinary structural steels offer a possibly desired “vintage look” due to weather influences. In particular, the wire mesh mats and the connecting plates are made of metallic materials, as the terminology already implies. Material connections such as welding are particularly suitable for joining the metallic components, for example because of the durability and strength of the resulting connection. In this respect, a wire mesh basket is disclosed, which is joined from the above-mentioned components by material connections and in particular is welded.
As is also easy to understand, a connecting plate is in contact with each of the wire mesh mats along an edge of the connecting plate and is connected at one edge to the respective wire mesh mat or joined to it. An edge is to be understood as the side of the sheet which defines the thickness of the sheet. The edge on the respective wire mesh mat is firmly connected to the wire mesh mat at at least two connection points that are as far apart as possible. Accordingly, the connecting plate is connected and / or joined to the respective wire mesh mat at two points that are as far outward as possible along the extent of said edge. It should be taken into account here that the said edge of the flat-shaped connecting and spacing element can on the one hand be in contact with a rod of the wire mesh mat along its entire length, but in other embodiments it is only in contact with rods of the wire mesh mat at intersections of the edge. In this respect, a clear teaching for the specialist results from the above. It goes without saying that the connecting plate can in particular also be attached to the wire mesh mat at as many or all contact points as possible or along an entire contact line. This further improves the stability of the wire mesh basket. A line on which the contact and connection points of a connecting plate with or on a wire mesh mat are arranged is referred to in the following for simplicity as a contact line, even if there is not necessarily line contact between the connecting plate and the wire mesh mat.
It should also be noted that a sheet metal in the sense of the present disclosure is to be understood as a metal component that spans a surface and has a thickness, with two particularly parallel surfaces between which the thickness extends. The thickness is much smaller than any surface extension in the spanned area. For example, the smallest surface extension is 10 times or more the thickness, in particular 20 times or more the thickness, and furthermore in particular 40 times or more the thickness.
In certain embodiments, at least two connecting plates are arranged, whose contact lines on each opposing wire mesh mat an angle of at least 45 ° and less than or equal to 90 °, in particular at least 60 »and less than or equal to 90, or at least 75 ° and less than or equal to 90 °, and furthermore in particular of at least approximately 90 °, with each other. It can also be provided that at least one connecting plate is arranged, which is bent in such a way that its contact line on each of the opposing wire mesh mats comprises line segments which or their tangents form an angle of at least 45 ° and less than or equal to 90 °, in particular at least 60 ° and less than or equal to 90 °, or at least 75 ° and less than or equal to 90 °, and furthermore in particular at least approximately 90 °. The limit values mentioned above are included in the range disclosed. Because of these arrangements, the wire mesh mats are supported in each direction in their plane by a connecting plate and relative movements of the opposite wire mesh mats in their respective plane, i.e. Shear movements of the wire mesh basket are avoided. In this way, the wire mesh basket is given a high degree of inherent stability, even when unfilled, and can therefore be handled very well.
(2) According to further aspects of the object described here, at least one connecting plate has a length and a width, the length being at least as large as the width, the connecting plate extending along its width extension between the opposing wire mesh mats. In other words, the extent of an edge of the connecting plate along a wire mesh mat is at least as large as the thickness of the wire mesh basket. It was explained above that in certain embodiments at least two connecting plates with their contact lines are arranged at an angle to one another which is greater than a minimum angle. In this case, the requirement set here with regard to the geometry of the connecting plates can of course be set up for each of two connecting plates arranged at a corresponding angle to one another. As mentioned, the thickness of the wire mesh basket is determined by the distance between the wire mesh mats, or the surfaces spanned by them. In the event that the thickness of the wire mesh basket is not constant, that is, the
CH 712 803 A2 opposite wire mesh mats or the areas spanned by them are not parallel at least in some areas, so the person skilled in the art will readily recognize that the thickness of the wire mesh basket should be a local thickness which is local, that is, from one location of a wire mesh mat or the measured from this spanned plane results in the smallest distance to the opposite wire mesh mat, or the plane spanned by this. In certain embodiments of the object described, the connecting plate extends along the thickness defined in this way and accordingly connects the two opposite wire mesh mats along the shortest possible path. In further exemplary embodiments, there are at least two locations of a connecting plate at which the connecting plate is fastened to or joined to a wire mesh mat, the spacing of which from one another is greater than the thickness of the wire mesh basket. As stated above, this dimensioning ensures an outstanding rigidity of the wire mesh basket in the area parallel to a surface spanned by the connecting plate. In the case of two connecting plates arranged at an angle to one another, as described above, or a curved connecting plate with a curved contact line, an outstanding rigidity of the wire mesh basket is achieved in every direction.
[0016] The wire mesh basket becomes stiffer and therefore easier to handle, the greater the length defined above compared to the thickness. In this respect, embodiments are disclosed in which the length of said connecting plate is at least twice, at least three times, or at least four times the width of the connecting plate or the thickness of the wire mesh basket.
Furthermore, in particular, embodiments are disclosed in which a connecting plate extends along an entire length or width extension of a wire mesh mat. Furthermore, embodiments are disclosed in which a connecting plate extends along an entire length and an entire width extent of a wire mesh mat.
In further embodiments, the wire mesh basket is characterized in that at least one connecting plate extends along a straight line from one wire mesh mat to the opposite wire mesh mat. This means that the surface spanned by the connecting plate has no curvature or bend along the connection from one wire mesh mat to the opposite wire mesh mat along the spanned surface. In particular, if the connection between the wire mesh mats is made as described above using the shortest possible path between the opposing wire mesh mats, this results in a further improved stability, since a pressure load on the wire mesh mats is absorbed at least substantially without bending stress on the connecting plate mentioned.
(3) In further embodiments, the edges of the wire mesh mats are connected to one another at two opposite side edges by side connecting plates. In particular, each side connecting plate extends along an entire side edge of a wire mesh mat. In this way, the space defined between the wire mesh mats is laterally closed.
(4, 5) It can further be provided that a floor connecting plate extends between the opposite wire mesh mats along a transverse extension of the wire mesh basket. The bottom connecting plate can extend from one side surface of the wire mesh basket to the opposite second side surface of the wire mesh basket, it being possible in particular for the above-mentioned side connecting plates to be arranged on the side surfaces. A space is then enclosed between the wire mesh mats, the side connecting plates and the bottom connecting plate, which can be filled with a filler material. In this case, the floor connecting plate defines, in particular, an underside of the wire mesh basket in a position for arrangement in which the wire mesh basket can be provided. It can be provided that the bottom connecting plate is joined to the side connecting plates and in particular is welded.
(6) It can further be provided that the side connecting plates have means for attaching the wire mesh basket to posts, said means in particular comprising openings for the passage of a screw bolt.
It can be provided that further connecting plates are arranged as stiffening plates between the side connecting plates, which further stabilize the wire mesh basket. These can also be used to divide the interior of the wire mesh basket into several compartments, which can be filled with different materials, for example. This in turn can be used to achieve aesthetic effects. Connection plates can also be arranged, which themselves serve exclusively aesthetic purposes. In one embodiment, for example, a connecting plate can be shaped as a jacket of a hollow cylinder, which can have, for example, a circular, elliptical, polygonal or any other cross section. This cross section can also represent a figure, a symbol or the like. If this element is now inserted between the wire mesh mats and the jacket is fixed to the end faces, there are far-reaching design options. The wire mesh could then also be removed within the jacket.
(7) In certain aspects of the subject matter described, each of the wire mesh mats has a length extension and a width extension, wherein a maximum thickness of the wire mesh basket is both smaller than the smallest length extension of a wire mesh mat and smaller than the smallest width extension of a wire mesh4
CH 712 803 A2 is termatte. In other words, the thickness of the wire mesh basket is smaller both in terms of its height and in terms of its width.
[0024] The wire mesh mats can be flat or curved or curved. The thickness of the wire mesh basket can be constant or vary. The wire mesh basket as a whole can be flat or curved or curved, and can for example be curved as a segment of a cylinder jacket.
The wire mesh basket can be filled with different materials in a manner known per se. It is possible that the open side of the wire mesh basket, through which it is filled, is then also closed by a connecting plate.
[0026] Overall, the wire mesh basket specified here offers high functional stability and good manageability. Due to the inherent stability, it is possible to design the wire mesh basket flexibly in height and width and to adapt it to customer requirements. Thanks to the sturdy connecting plates, the depth or thickness of the basket is so stable that comparatively large dimensions can be achieved.
The wire mesh basket described can be used, for example, in a separating device in the broadest sense, for example as a privacy screen, site fence, partition, fall protection, sound insulation, wind protection and the like. The wire mesh basket can also be used to veneer existing buildings.
(8) Also disclosed is a separating device which comprises at least one wire mesh basket of the type described above, the wire mesh basket being arranged as a separating element between two posts and being fastened to the post. The wire mesh basket is connected to the posts in particular on the side connecting plates. In this case, further wire mesh baskets, but also other separating elements made of wood, glass, metal and so on, can be arranged between two posts within the separating device.
(9, 10) At least one post of the separating device is provided as a hollow profile. An axial end, in particular on an upper side of the post, is closed with a cover cap, the cover cap being connected to the hollow profile by a materially joined connection, for example a welded connection. Among other things, the cover cap prevents water from penetrating into the hollow profile. Due to the integral connection, the post forms a unit. It is avoided that the cover cap is accidentally lost or lost due to vandalism. In further exemplary embodiments, the joint connection between the hollow profile and the cover cap is designed as a seam running around the hollow profile. In particular, the hollow profile and the cover cap are made of the same material, which gives a valuable impression. For example, the hollow profile and the cover cap are made of stainless steel. According to another aspect, at least the posts between which the wire mesh mat is arranged are identical posts. According to further aspects, a post consists of the same material as the wire mesh basket.
In certain embodiments of the wire mesh basket there are at least three points on each wire mesh mat, at which a connecting plate is fastened to the wire mesh mat, the points mentioned spanning a triangle. As already explained above, this guarantees the outstanding intrinsic stability of the wire mesh basket. In more specific embodiments, the side length of the spanned triangle is at least as large as or greater than the thickness of the wire mesh basket.
[0031] In certain embodiments, at least one edge of each wire mesh mat is flush with an edge of the other wire mesh mat.
According to another aspect of the present description, it has been found that wire mesh baskets, if they are filled with a suitable material and have a suitable thickness, are outstandingly suitable for soundproofing purposes. A wire mesh basket of the type described above can be used for this, but also any other wire mesh basket. For example, MISAPOR AG sells foam glass granules. To produce the foam glass granulate, waste glass is ground and the glass flour is then baked. This is done with the addition of 2% pure mineral material at over 950 ° C. During this process, the glass mass foams up and finally leaves the oven as foam glass. During the rapid cooling process, the material breaks down to gravel size. The resulting material contains large amounts of trapped air. Such glass granulate is described, for example, in WO 2004/113 245.
The configurations of the objects described above can of course be combined with one another. Other, not specifically disclosed embodiments of the teaching of this document will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art.

The drawings are highly schematic. Details not necessary for understanding the described items have been omitted. Furthermore, the drawings only show selected exemplary embodiments and may not be used to restrict the objects described in the claims. Embodiments not shown may well be covered by the claims.
EMBODIMENTS Fig. 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment of a wire mesh basket of the type described. The wire mesh basket 1 comprises wire mesh mats 10 and 11 which are arranged opposite one another and at a distance from one another. A thickness D of the wire mesh basket 1 is defined by the distance from one another. The wire mesh mats are identical in terms of their dimensions, with a width extension and a length extension which determine a width B and a height H of the wire mesh basket. The edges of the wire mesh mats 10, 11 are connected to one another at two opposite side edges by side connecting plates 12. Each of the side connecting plates 12 spans a surface with a length which corresponds to the height H of the wire mesh basket in this specific exemplary embodiment and a width which corresponds to the thickness D of the wire mesh basket in this specific exemplary embodiment. This means that a side connecting plate extends over an entire extent H of a wire mesh or over the entire height of the wire mesh basket. The surface of a side connecting plate extends between the opposing wire mesh mats. The side connecting plates are welded to the wire meshes 10 and 11 or wire rods of the wire meshes and in this way connected to the wire rods and thus to the wire meshes. 2 shows the same wire mesh basket, with the wire mesh 10 removed. In this illustration, the bottom connecting plate 13 and further connecting plates arranged as stiffening plates 14 are visible. The floor connecting plate 13 extends along a transverse extent of the wire mesh basket between the opposite wire mesh mats and is fastened to or joined to them. In this particular exemplary embodiment, the length of the bottom connecting plate 13 corresponds to the width B of the wire mesh basket, and the width of the bottom connecting plate 13 corresponds to the thickness D of the wire mesh basket. The floor connection plate 13 extends between the two side connection plates 12, or from one side surface of the wire mesh basket to the other side surface of the wire mesh basket. The side connecting plates and the bottom connecting plate extend at least substantially perpendicularly to one another, and in this way stiffen the wire mesh basket and produce an inherent stability of the wire mesh basket. In addition, stiffening plates 14 are arranged, which extend with the respectively spanned surfaces between the wire mesh mats 10 and 11 and are connected or joined to them. These extend from an upper side of the wire mesh basket to the floor connecting plate, and additionally stiffen the wire mesh basket, in particular against forces which act on the wire mesh mats along a surface normal. Furthermore, the stiffening plates 14 divide the wire mesh basket into different compartments that could be filled with different filling materials. The side connecting plates 12 are further provided with openings 121, through which bolts can be passed, with which the wire mesh basket can be attached to a post.
3 shows a fence 100 as an example of a separating device in which a wire mesh basket 1 of the type described is used. The wire mesh basket is arranged between two posts 20 as a separating element. The wire mesh basket 1 is filled with a filling material, for example with stones or wood, according to functional or aesthetic criteria. The posts 20 comprise a hollow profile 21 with a welded-on cover cap 22. The cover cap 22 is welded onto the hollow profile 21, for example by means of a circumferential weld seam. The wire mesh basket and the posts are made of stainless steel, for example. The separating device 100 is continued on the sides by further separating elements 2 and 3. These separating elements can also be wire mesh baskets, for example, but can also be glass, wood, metal and other elements.
In connection with FIGS. 4 and 5, a second embodiment of a wire mesh basket of the type described is shown. This comprises an ornamental connecting plate 15. The ornamental connecting plate 15 is a hollow cylinder with an arbitrary cross section, which is joined, for example welded, to the wire mesh mats on its end faces. The wire mesh mats can be cut out within the hollow cylinder. In principle, any aesthetic effects can be created in this way.
In general, connecting plates can be arranged in almost any geometry and orientation between the wire mesh mats in order to achieve the desired aesthetic effects.
