Description: [0001] The present invention relates to a display device for a wristwatch. [0002] Documents CH 666 380 A, CH 669 083 A and US Pat. No. 4,734,895 A1 describe watches comprising decorative elements that are mounted on a dial. These elements play purely an ornamental role. The present invention aims to provide a display device for a wristwatch, including a time display device, original and unpublished. For this purpose there is provided a display device according to claim 1, particular embodiments being defined in the dependent claims. The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of a watch display device according to the invention. In the drawing: fig. 1 illustrates the head of a wristwatch comprising the display device according to the invention; figs. 2 and 3 illustrate a portion of the wristwatch head of FIG. 1; figs. 4 and 5 respectively illustrate a first portion and a second portion of a scroll member forming part of the display device according to the invention; and FIG. 6 illustrates display needles and indexes used in the present invention. [0006] FIG. 1 illustrates the head of a wristwatch 2 comprising a box 4, a glass 8 and needles 10, 12 of a time display. In the exemplary illustrated embodiment, the display is a display of the hours and minutes on the bottom side 6 of a reversible watch, but this is by no means limiting. In addition, the needles may be replaced by other types of movable indicator members, such as indicator wheels carrying arrows. According to the invention, the watch comprises a crimping member 14 carrying at least one index capable of cooperating with one of the hands or other movable indicators of the display when the watch is in a predetermined orientation with respect to the gravitational force . In the illustrated example, better visible in FIGS. 2 and 3, the pod member 14 carries hour markers 16 and is free pivotally mounted about an axis concentric with the shaft of the hour hand 10 so that the index fingers 16 cooperate with the needle of the 10 hours when the watch is in a vertical position (often called "vertical position during up" or VH, see Berner, Professional Illustrated Dictionary of Watchmaking). In this case, the unbalanced portion of the member 14 is centered on the index of 6H. The indexes 16 are for example in the form of Arabic numerals, as illustrated, or Roman numerals. In the illustrated embodiment, the time display of the watch does not have a dial and the movement 20 is visible under the bumper organ 14. In this case, a second set of hours index 18 can be marked directly on the glass 8 as can be seen in fig. 2 and 6. The indexes 18 are for example in the form of Roman numerals, as illustrated, or Arabic numerals. According to a preferred embodiment, the crimping member 14 comprises a first baled portion 14A (FIG 4) carrying a first portion 16A of the indexes 16 and a second balancing portion 14B (FIG. 16B of the indexes 16. In the illustrated example, the first part 16A of the indexes 16 comprises the numbers 3, 9 and 12 and the second part 16B of the indexes 16 comprises the numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 10 and 11. The two baled portions 14A, 14B are freely pivotally mounted about the same axis, concentric with the shaft of the hour hand 10, and the indexes on the two baled parts 14A, 14B cooperate with the needle. 10 hours when the watch is in a vertical position. Of course, the pod member 14 may comprise more than two parts imbalanced in variants. Preferably, each unbalanced portion is pivotally mounted through a ball bearing. Given their different centers of gravity, the two baled parts 14A, 14B generally move with different speeds and angular accelerations depending on the movements of the wearer of the watch, which amplifies the effect of crazy and random mobility of the display when the wearer moves and the watch is not in a vertical position. The bumper member 14 or at least one of its baled parts 14A, 14B may be secured to a transmission mobile linked to an automatic winding of the wristwatch, and in this case it also plays the role a functional oscillating mass. For example, in the illustrated example the first baled portion 14A can wind the barrel of the wristwatch. The display device of the present invention is applicable to other types of display a time display. For example, the pod member 14 may include date indexes and may cooperate with a date hand in a given orientation of the watch.

Claims (12) [1] claims 1. Display device for a wristwatch comprising a movable indicator member (10) and a pod member (14) carrying at least one index (16) adapted to cooperate with the mobile indicator member (10) when the watch is found in a predetermined orientation with respect to the gravitational force. [2] 2. Display device according to the preceding claim, the movable indicator member (10) being a needle. [3] 3. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, the pod member (14) being pivotally mounted free about an axis concentric with the shaft or the axis of the movable indicator member (10). [4] 4. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, the pod member (14) being secured to a transmission mobile linked to an automatic winding gear of the wristwatch. [5] 5. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, the pod member (14) comprising a first balancing portion (14A) carrying a first portion (16A) of the indexes (16) and a second balancing portion (14B) bearing a second portion (16B) of the indexes (16). [6] 6. Display device according to the preceding claim, the two unbalanced parts (14A, 14B) having different centers of gravity. [7] 7. A display device according to claim 5 or 6, one of the balanced parts (14A) being secured to a transmission mobile linked to an automatic winding of the wristwatch. [8] 8. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, the display being a time display. [9] 9. Display device according to one of claims 1 to 7, the display being a date display. [10] 10. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, the predetermined orientation with respect to the gravitational force corresponding to a vertical position of the wristwatch. [11] 11. Display device according to one of the preceding claims, at least a portion of the indexes (16) comprising Arabic or Roman numerals. [12] 12. Wristwatch comprising a display device according to one of the preceding claims.
