In different embodiments, at a time of a rotation of the press unit carrier structure around a fixed axis, at least one first press unit can be in one of a completely open configuration, a partly closed configuration, a completely closed configuration or a partly open configuration, and at least one press unit can be in a fully open configuration, a partially closed configuration, a fully closed configuration, or a partially open configuration. In these embodiments, the two press units may either be in the same configuration or may be in a different configuration. In the interest of brevity and conciseness, all ranges of values described in this disclosure contemplate all values in the range and are to be construed as support for claims that express any sub-ranges with endpoints that are integer values in the specified range in question. As a hypothetical example, consider a disclosure of a range from 1 to 5 to support claims for any of the following ranges: 1 to 5; 1 to 4; 1 to 3; 1 to 2; 2 to 5; 2 to 4; 2 to 3; 3 to 5; 3 to 4 and 4 to 5.

Claims (21) [1] claims 1. A method for compacting a plurality of pledgets (22) or pessaries, the method comprising: a. providing a device (200, 220), the device comprising: i. a press unit support structure (202) rotatable about an axis (204, 226); ii. a first press unit (206, 230) carried by the press unit support structure (202); and ili. a second press unit (206, 230) carried by the press unit support structure (202); b. loading a first pledget or pessary into the first press unit (206, 230); c. rotating the die assembly support structure (202) less than one complete revolution about the axis (204, 226); CH 711 912 B1 d. compressing the first pledget or pessary; e. loading a second pledget or pessary into the second press unit (206, 230); f. rotating the die assembly support structure (202) less than one complete revolution about the axis (204, 226); and G. unloading the first pledget or pessary from the first press unit (206, 230). The method according to claim 1, wherein the first pressing unit (206, 230) and the second pressing unit (206, 230) are axial direction pressing units (300, 320) for compressing the respective pledget or pessary in an axial direction along a longitudinal direction and / or lateral direction of the pledget or pessary. [3] The method of claim 1, wherein the first press unit (206, 230) and the second press unit (206, 230) are non-linear direction press units (330, 370) for compacting the respective pledget or pessary in a non-linear direction. [4] 4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the first pressing unit (206, 230, 410) and the second pressing unit (206, 230, 410) each have a compression surface that decreases with a compression movement. A method for compacting multiple pledgets (22) or pessaries, the method comprising the following steps: a. providing a device (200, 220), the device comprising: i. a press unit support structure (202) rotatable about a fixed axis (204, 226); ii. a first press unit (206, 230) carried by the press unit support structure (202); and ili. a second press unit (206, 230) carried by the press unit support structure (202); b. loading a first pledget or pessary into the first press unit (206, 230) and loading a second pledget or pessary into the second press unit (206, 230) at the same time; c. rotating the die assembly support structure (202) less than one complete revolution about the axis (204, 226); d. compacting the first pledget or pessary in the first press unit (206, 230) and compacting the second pledget or pessary in the second press unit (206, 230) at the same time; and e. unloading the first pledget or pessary from the first press unit (206, 230) and unloading the second pledget or pessary from the second press unit (206, 230) at the same time. The method according to claim 10, wherein the first pressing unit (206, 230) and the second pressing unit (206, 230) are axial direction pressing units (300, 320) for compressing the respective pledget or pessary in an axial direction along a longitudinal direction and / or lateral direction of the pledget or pessary. [12] The method of claim 10, wherein the first press unit (206, 230) and the second press unit (206, 230) are non-linear direction press units (330, 370) for compacting the respective pledget or pessary in a non-linear direction. The method according to claim 16, wherein the first pressing unit (206, 230) and the second pressing unit (206, 230) are axial direction pressing units (300, 320) for compressing the respective pledget or pessary in an axial direction along a longitudinal direction and / or lateral direction of the pledget or pessary.
