The invention relates to a method for handling cheese loaves and a device for this purpose, which can be assigned in particular to a so-called cassette press with round or square cheese molds.
A device for the industrial production of cheese loaves is z. B. known from EP-A-350777. This includes a flushing press with a rectangular and open-topped trough for receiving molds, a pillar frame for arranging a press head that can be raised and lowered and a distribution head for feeding and dosing the raw cheese mass into the molds and a gantry car that can be moved on the trough to guide the distribution head and for handling a turning mechanism for the molds. The distribution head and the turning mechanism must be provided manually, resp. change. EP-A-406899 shows a further development of such a device in which the molds are accommodated in cassettes which in turn are arranged compactly and in rows in the trough. Above the molds there is a pressing head with pressing rams aligned with the molds for pressing the raw cheese mass. The cassettes have a gap-minimizing edge design and a mechanized device is provided for pushing the cassettes.The tub can also be assigned a shelf for second molds in which the pressed raw cheese loaves are reloaded (EP-A-1769676). The second molds can be fed to a further work section by means of a roller conveyor device of a corresponding handling device of the press.
According to EP-B-543185, a mold cover can be connected to the ram via a tilting device (self-centering), so that suction of the mold cover on the cheese fair is avoided as a result of possible tilting movements. The shape itself is round or square and can consist of an outer container and an inner, perforated shell.
The pressed cheeses can be removed from the mold, for example by means of a gripper, with air being blown into the mold beforehand in order to release the cheese from the mold wall (EP-B-1269832 or DE-B-922448).
[0005] Contact of the cheeses with blown air or other gases can pose a sanitation problem. In order to avoid this, attempts were also made to remove cheese loaves from the press mold using a vacuum gripper. However, this leads to the formation of cones or, in general, to damage to the surface or even to tearing of the loaf.
Another such cassette press is published in CH704208A2 and EP2710888A1. The cassette press according to CH704208A2 has two handling devices, the second handling device, which can be moved along the longitudinal sides of the trough, corresponding to a turning unit.EP2710888A1 discloses a cassette press provided with a vibrating unit associated with a horizontally arranged deposit or conveyor for the pressed cheese loaves.
The invention is based on the object of developing a method for the automatic handling of cheese loaves with which, in particular, gentle, fast and precise demoulding/molding of the cheese loaves from a primary form into a secondary form can be achieved.
The object is achieved with the features of patent claim 1. A raw cheese mass is pressed in molds of a cassette press, the pressed raw cheese mass is then released from the inner wall of the mold, the mold is rotated and lowered, and the mold is emptied by shaking or blowing it out.

The detachment of the wheel of cheese, respectively. the raw cheese mass from the inner wall of the mold is carried out by shaking or blowing out the pressed cheese loaf directly, respectively. directly before demoulding. The shaking movement is initiated immediately after the mold has been turned over, so that each wheel of cheese can then rest on a pick-up stamp.

The shaking is only for a short time and at least once.The shaking movement can be horizontal or vertical. The mold is preferably lowered into a vibrator.Each wheel of cheese is pushed into the secondary mold with the pick-up stamp and the wheel of cheese is pivoted preferably with a pivoting gripper or a turning gripper. Here, the pivoting or turning gripper turns back by 180° to its starting position after the pick-up stamp has been retracted.
The cheese loaves are not only removed from the mold gently but also hygienically and transported further.
Another object is to provide a device for handling cheese loaves that allows for quick transfer of cheese loaves. This problem is solved with the features of patent claim 7 .
Preferred embodiments are disclosed in the dependent claims.
The inventive device is compact and allows automated handling and gripping in particular of the cheese loaves and thus a rapid reassignment of the cassette press, since the cheese only has to linger a short time in the molds.
The invention is described in more detail below in an exemplary embodiment with reference to a drawing. The cassette press 1 is assigned a device 18 according to the invention for handling the cheese loaves K, with a device for rotating and turning the cassette 3 about its longitudinal axis (turning unit 8) and it is also provided with a vibrator 7 arranged close to the turning unit 8 . It also includes a conveyor line 6 for secondary molds 14.
The device 18 also includes a pivotably mounted, the conveyor line 6 associated pivoting or turning gripper, which is provided with at least one pick-up stamp 16 and means for clamping the cheese loaves K.
The device 18 for handling the cheese loaves K with a swivel gripper 12 according to FIG. 2 comprises a frame 9 for receiving the vibrator 7 and the turning unit 8. The handling device 5 in the cassette press 1 enables the cassettes 3 to be raised and lowered.The pivoting gripper 12 is rotatably mounted with a pivoting arm in the frame 9 between the conveyor section 6 and the vibrator 7 . The swivel arm of the swivel gripper 12 can be swiveled about an axis of rotation 17 with the clamping frame 10 and the clamping jaws 11 mounted therein.A conveying path 6 is assigned to the device 18 .
The device 18 for handling the cheese loaves K with a turning gripper 13 according to FIG. 3 requires a greater distance between the axis of rotation 17 of the gripper and the conveyor section 6 than the pivoting gripper 12 and includes a frame 9' for receiving the vibrator 7 and the turning unit 8, the cassette 3 being lowered into the shaker 7. The turning gripper 13 is rotatably mounted in the frame 9' between the conveyor section 6 and the cassette 3 to be lowered. The turning gripper 13 can be pivoted about an axis of rotation 17 .The cheese loaves K can be pressed into the secondary molds 14 with the pick-up stamp 16 .The secondary molds 14 with the conveying path 6 are arranged below the turning gripper 13 in the frame 9 and are generally fed in parallel in the turning gripper 13 and pivoting gripper 12 embodiments.
Pivoting or turning grippers 12, 13 are preferably provided with a geared motor, in particular a bevel geared motor.
The device 18 also comprises means for clamping the cheeses K, preferably clamping jaws 11, which can be arranged in a clamping beam 10. The clamping jaws 11 are preferably actuated together via the clamping bar 10 (FIG. 4).Pick-up stamp 16 and clamping jaws 11 can preferably be actuated pneumatically.
To carry out the emptying of the molds 4 of a cassette 3 and the rearrangement of the cheese loaves K by means of swivel grippers 12 (Fig. 2), the raw cheese mass pressed into the cheese loaves K is released from the inner wall of the mold 4 by means of vibration or air and after a turning operation emptied from the form 4. For this purpose, the cassette 3 is rotated above the pivoting gripper 12 and lowered in the direction of the pick-up stamp 16 . To carry out the emptying of the forms 4 and the rearrangement of the cheeses K by turning gripper 13 (Fig. 3), the pressed cheese to the cheeses K is also emptied after a turning process from the form 4. The shaking movement is preferably carried out horizontally and takes place at least once, the wheel of cheese K being able to be removed from the mold 4 after shaking or blowing out.
The cheeses K are stored in a defined manner both in the device 18 and in the secondary molds 14 and no manual access is required.
A swivel gripper 12 can also be used for handling very long and narrow cheeses K (FIG. 5). Pivoting and turning grippers 12, 13 can basically be used for all cheese shapes.
The term retraction and extension used is always function-related, but not meant in relation to the cylinder.

1.
