Each pair of squeezing rolls 7 comprises an upper roller 7 osti and a lower roller 7 osti ́ opposite through which the wool passes.
[0027] Preferably, in the embodiment shown in the figure, the squeezing rolls 7 extend transversely for at least 50% of the width of the washing tub 2,3,4.
[0028] The squeezing rollers 7 preferably have a radius R greater than 25 mm. Preferably, each pair of wringing rollers 7 has a device for adjusting the pressure of the upper roller 7 ́ on the lower roller 7 ́ ́.
[0029] The lower roller 7 ́ can be made or covered with non-stick material. Still with reference to the embodiment shown in the figures, it is specified that even downstream of the third tank 4 there is a further pair of wringing rollers 7.
[0030] The squeezing rollers 7 are motorized rollers and move synchronously with the teeth 12 of the wool handling device 5 better described below. Each washing tank 2,3,4 has, in fact, a wool handling device 5 able to extract the wool from the pair of squeezing rollers 7 positioned upstream of the tank 2,3,4 to carry it out of the tank itself and into input to the pair of rollers 7 of subsequent squeezing.
[0031] The three wool handling devices 5 of the embodiment are substantially identical, in the present drawing reference will therefore be made to one of the three wool handling devices 5, it being understood that what has been said also applies to the remaining handling devices 5.
[0032] All three wool handling devices 5 are fastened to a carriage 21 above the three washing tanks 2,3,4 and move integrally with it. Each handling device 5 comprises a plurality of teeth 12 and is able to move cyclically for a forward path and a return path, in the forward path the plurality of teeth 12 of the handling device 5 is at least partially immersed in the washing liquid and runs through the relative washing tank 2,3,4 in a direction consistent with the direction in which the wool passes, indicated by the arrow F in fig. 1, and wherein in the return path the plurality of teeth 12 of the wool handling device 5 is, preferably, emerged from the washing liquid and runs through the relative washing tank in a direction opposite to the direction in which the wool passes.
[0033] The washing device further comprises means for adjusting the speed and the path of the movement device 5.
[0034] In other words, it is possible to vary the outward and return path and the speed with which the movement device performs the outward and return journey. The teeth 12 of the aforementioned plurality are arranged in rows and are preferably different depending on the task to be performed.
[0035] Each movement device 5 preferably therefore comprises three rows of teeth 12 for each tank
