专利说明:
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for producing stapled printed products, such as brochures, leaflets or the like according to the preambles of claims 1 and 7. As a prior art so-called saddle stitchers are known for the production of such printed products, in which prefabricated signatures are transferred via so-called folding sheet feeder on a collection line, composed of multiple signatures and optionally a cover sheet the printed product and then fed to a stitching station for stapling , After stapling, this is usually followed by so-called trimmers, by means of which the products are cut on three sides and thus opened. Such a saddle stitcher is described for example in the document EP 0 917 965 A1. For the production of folded sheets are also various devices, for example, described by the document EP 1 803 674 B1. Furthermore, the document EP 1 475 339 A1 discloses a method and a device for the further processing of printed sheets, in which a folding device and a saddle stitcher are used in combination. In this method and the associated device printed sheets are further processed for the production of multi-sheet printed products, first folded the sheet, then collected various signatures by a gathering device and finally stapled in a stapler. The compilation of the printed product takes place here still consuming in the form of investors who hand over different signatures of a collection device in the form of a gathering chain. The collection route requires several investors here. Several feeders require multiple folders. The object of the invention is the opposite, to propose an apparatus and a method by which a stapled, multi-sheet printed product can be produced at significantly reduced cost. This object is achieved on the basis of the initially described prior art by a method and an apparatus according to the characterizing features of claims 1 and 7. The measures mentioned in the subclaims 1 to 6 and 8 to 10 advantageous developments and embodiments of the invention are possible. Accordingly, a device according to the invention is characterized in that between the folding device and the stapling device, a transfer unit for the direct transfer of individual signatures of the folding unit is provided for stapling unit. The collection line including the feeder, as has been used in the prior art, is omitted here. The composition of the various sheets of the final product is thus relocated to the printing press. In this case, the advantage is used that in modern digital printing machines, the effort for individual compilation of pages to be printed on a sheet with extremely little effort is possible. On the other hand, the use of a collection line including multiple investors means a large machine effort, which is further increased by the fact that for the adjustment of the printed product or modification of the printed product, a significant setup effort is necessary especially in the collection section and the investor. In an inventive device eliminates this mechanical effort and the effort when setting up the machine, since the final product is already preconfigured in a single sheet available. Thus, after passing through the folding unit, a single signature that already contains the required number of pages of the final product can be stapled, whereby the intermediate product consisting of a single stitched signature contains all the desired sheets of the final product. The inventive method is thus characterized by the fact that individual folded sheets are stapled immediately after folding. Advantageously, a Pflugfalz provided with overhead folded edge and downwardly open folded sheet as the last fold to simplify the stapling process in the sign. For this purpose, a plow folding unit is preferably provided in the region of the folding station of the device according to the invention as the last folding unit. Furthermore, one of the Pflugfalzeinheit upstream zigzag folding unit is preferably provided in the region of the folding unit to perform a zigzag fold in the folded sheet in a last folding step upstream folding step. By this measure is easily a corresponding number of folds in a sheet possible, which prepares the desired number of pages for the final product. The desired number of pages can be prepared in the press sheet by a corresponding length of the press sheet, which subsequently undergoes a zigzag folding, each zigzag portion of the folded sheet provided by the subsequently provided Pflugfalz two sides of the final product. Since in a device according to the invention the collecting route with the individual investors is eliminated, there is a great deal of flexibility in the objective embodiment of the transfer unit for stapling unit. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, a conveyor chain is provided in the region of the transfer unit, as it has been used in collection lines so far, now the conveyor chain is designed to be correspondingly short, since the collection line is eliminated. In this way it is possible to use existing stapling stations of saddle stitchers for the inventive new machine. Such stitching stations already have a synchronization with a conveyor chain and the possibility of stapling in a plow fold available. Advantageously, a stapler downstream trimmer is provided, whereby the stapled single folded sheet after stapling by trimming, that is cutting on three sides, is opened. After cutting, a printed product or end product is available, in which the different sides can be turned over in the usual way. In a particular embodiment of the invention, the folding unit is designed so that it can be decoupled from the entire machine, so that it can also be used separately, for example if a printed product is to be produced without stitching. The stapling unit is to be used independently in such a case by a product to be stapled in another way the transfer unit is supplied. An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing and will be explained in more detail with reference to the figure. In detail show:<Tb> FIG. 1 <SEP> a schematic structure of the inventive device and<Tb> FIG. 2 <SEP> is a plan view of a piano sheet with a fold line representation. In Fig. 1, an inventive folding and stapling machine 1 is shown, which has a Zickzackfalzeinheit 2 and a Pflugfalzeinheit 3. The unfolded printed sheets, which are also referred to as piano sheets (not shown), are hereby moved in the direction of movement B1 through the machine 1. A transfer unit 4 leads directly into a stapling unit 5, where the folded sheets, which were made of piano sheets in the two folding units 2, 3, stapled. After stapling the stapled intermediates are conveyed in the transverse direction B2 via a conveyor unit 6 to a trimmer 7, where they are cut by three-sided trimming on the three non-stitched pages and thus opened. About a delivery 8, which may be formed for example as a so-called offset delivery, the finished printed products, such as brochures, leaflets or the like in a staggered stack a sampling unit 9, where they can be removed and packaged, for example, or further processed , In Fig. 2, a folded folded sheet 10 is shown by solid lines, comprising a total of eight double-sided printed sheets for the printed product and thus a total of 16 printed pages for the printed product. The printing is not shown in Fig. 2. Three transverse to the direction of movement B1 folds 11, 12, 13, which extend in alternate folding directions, form a zigzag and separate a total of four fold sections 14, 15, 16, 17 of the sign 10 transverse to the direction of movement B1. A Pflugfalzlinie 18 continuous in the direction of movement B1 illustrates the Pflugfalz made after Zickzackfalzung. The folding image according to FIG. 2, like o. A. However, the folded sheet is handed over and stapled in the folded state of the transfer unit 4, a folded unfolded sheet after folding. The fold sections 14, 15, 16, 17, which are again halved by the plow fold 18 in the direction of movement B1, thus form eight sheets of the stapled printed product. Due to the respective front and back, this results in 16 pages in total. The dashed lines in Fig. 2 illustrate that in the longitudinal direction or in the direction of movement B1 of the signatures is readily expandable to increase the number of sheets in printed products. Of course, a comparison with the illustrated embodiment smaller folding sheets are used, for example, a signatures, which includes only the folding sections 14 and 15, which results in a vierblättriges and thus eight-sided printed product. In this case, the zigzag fold is replaced by a so-called semi-fold, that is, there is only one transverse fold such as the fold 11th When using a piano sheet as the starting material for a signatures with 6 sheets and 12 pages, the folds 11 and 12 form a so-called Z-fold before the subsequent plow fold 18 is made. The hitherto referred to as zigzag fold is also referred to as a break Z-Z fold, which is pronounced when using three transverse folds of the fold as a so-called three-way Z-Z. This three-way Z-Z fold would be present with the folds 11, 12, 13. In a folded sheet, which complements the folded sheet 10 by the dashed line section, accordingly corresponding to five such transverse folds would be present, that is, this would result in a so-called five-fold Z-Z fold. The illustrated embodiment and the dependent claims describe, as already mentioned, advantageous developments of the invention, with which the inventive advantages are particularly easy to implement. The advantages according to the invention are that the end product is already completely applied to the individual unfolded printed sheet, the so-called piano sheet, ie that a single folded sheet produced from the piano sheet is stapled, thus eliminating the hitherto used collecting line with corresponding investors.
