Description Technical Field of the Invention The invention relates to a wristwatch box provided with means arranged to allow the bracelet to be changed easily and quickly, in particular by the user, said box being provided with at least one bottom. and horns for fixing two ends of the bracelet.
STATE OF THE PRIOR ART A wristwatch is an instrument whose primary purpose is to tell the time, but over time it has also become a jewel. Watchmakers are aware of this fact, and pay particular attention to its ornamental aspect and offer elements for dressing the case, the shape and / or color of which matches the clothing of the user. One of the design elements of a wristwatch is the bracelet. Being able to change it to fit clothing has been proposed in the past. For example, in patent EP 0 461 069 B, various solutions are proposed to allow the bracelet to be changed easily by the user. The principle being a rotating bezel which releases or covers by radial projections the open grooves of the horns of the watch case.
The solution adopted in document EP 0 461 069 B affects the upper part of the watch case and can influence the aesthetic appearance of the watch. On the other hand, by design this device is limited to round watch cases.
The inventor (s) has / have sought a solution allowing the replacement of the strap easily and quickly by the user, having no impact on the upper part of the watch whatever the shape of the watch case. , rectangular round, oval or any other more complex shape.
Disclosure of the invention [0005] The wristwatch case according to the invention is characterized in that said means allowing the easy change of the strap are located on the outside face of the bottom of the watch case and they comprise a button arranged to be fixed on the outer face of the bottom of the watch case and to be able to be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the bottom of the watch case and passing through the midpoint of said bottom, that each horn comprises a groove open towards the bottom of the watch case and arranged to receive the strap fixing rod, that the bottom is provided on its outer face with two slides in which can slide in opposite directions and between two positions two sliding doors driven by the rotation of said button, that said hatches are arranged so that in one position cover by one of their ends the grooves of said horns and provide the fix ation of the bracelet and in the other position they release said grooves to allow the bracelet to be changed.
The advantage according to the invention is the fact that the means allowing the easy change of the strap are located at the bottom of the watch case which is in contact with the wrist of the user and therefore practically invisible. In addition, the shape of the watch case has no influence since the only element that must be round is the button that controls the doors.
According to a preferred embodiment the watch case is characterized in that the outer surface of the bottom comprises in relief centered and symmetrical with respect to the midpoint of the bottom two cylindrical segments, that each segment comprises on its upper part and only one part of its length a surface directed towards the midpoint of the bottom thus creating two grooves, which the said button comprises on its face intended to come against the bottom two bayonet lugs arranged to come engaged in said grooves of two cylindrical segments, and an oblong groove hollowed out in the thickness of the button, which each hatch comprises at its end opposite to that closing said grooves an eccentric intended to engage in the oblong groove of the button and allowing, by turning the button, to move the hatches in direction opposite to cover or free the grooves of the horns.
According to an alternative embodiment the watch case is characterized by the fact that a T-shaped boss is formed in each slide near the horns whose flanks parallel to the direction of sliding of the doors are in the form of a tail dovetails intended to collaborate with complementary grooves of each hatch and to ensure good behavior of the hatches against the bottom.
According to another embodiment, the watch case is characterized by the fact that it comprises means preventing the button from accidentally turning in the direction releasing the grooves of the horns.
Said means may consist, by hatch, of at least one blind hole intended to collaborate with a ball pawl fixed on the watch case.
Alternatively, said means may include a radial slide located on the bottom in which moves a slide blocking the rotation of the button when the hatches cover the grooves of the horns.
Finally, said means may include a ratchet spring housed in a recess in the bottom in which engages a lug of the button.
According to one embodiment, the bottom of the watch case comes in one piece with the watch case.
CH 709 252 B1 According to another embodiment, the bottom of the box is removable.
The invention will be explained in more detail using the attached drawing.

Detailed description of embodiments In the following description we have chosen a round watch case with a removable bottom and a massive horn for the attachment of each strand of the bracelet. A person skilled in the art is able to make the necessary modifications to adapt the means described to a watch case with four horns with or without removable bottom and whatever the shape of the watch case.
In fig. 1 a wristwatch with a watch case 1 according to the invention is shown in perspective seen from below. We see the bottom of the box 3 fixed by four screws 31. On the bottom 3 a button 4 is fixed. Two strands of bracelet 2 are partially shown and attached to two massive horns 11. On the right angle section of a horn, there is a rod 21 of bracelet 2, a screw 31 for fixing the bottom 3, a ball ratchet 12 and the end 331 of a hatch 33 trapping the rod 21 of the bracelet in the groove 111 of the horn 11.
In fig. 2 a horn 11 is cut to show a detail of the holding of the hatch to which we will return later.
In fig. 3 the button 4 is shown from below provided with a guilloche 41 making it possible to turn the button by the fingers of the user.
In fig. 4 button 4 is shown seen from above. It comprises two bayonet lugs 42 arranged symmetrically with respect to the middle bridge of the button 4 and an oblong recess 43.
In fig. 5 we have the bottom 3 seen from below and two hatches 33 in exploded view. The bottom 3 includes, in its thickness, two slides 34 arranged symmetrically with respect to the midpoint of the bottom 3. Two cylindrical segments 35 centered and symmetrical with respect to the midpoint of the bottom 3 leave two spaces between them to ensure the extension of two slides 34. On a part of the length of two segments 35 and on the upper part two radial projections 351 towards the midpoint of the bottom create a bayonet groove 352 in which the bayonet lugs 42 of button 4 will engage (fig. 4) . Two sliding hatches 33 are intended to slide in the slides 34 of the bottom 3 (see also fig. 6). The hatches 33 by their ends 331 will collaborate with the horns 11 in order, depending on their position, to release or ensure the holding of the ends of the strap 2. The other ends of the hatches 33 are provided with two eccentrics in the form of two studs 332.
In fig. 6 the hatches 33 are arranged in the slides 34 of the bottom 3.
In fig. 7 the watch case 1 is shown. We see the horns 11 with the open grooves 111 intended to receive the rods 21 of the bracelet 2. The two ball pawls 12 will be inserted in the blind holes 13 of the box
1. At the end we also see two bosses 14 in T or dovetail (see also fig. 2). Each boss 14 collaborates with a groove of conjugate shape 333 from the end of each hatch 33 to stiffen the hatch in the position of covering two grooves 111 by the ends 331 of the hatches 33.
CH 709 252 B1 The positioning of the button 4 on the bottom 3 will now be explained. After positioning the hatches 33 in the slides 34 of the bottom 3 as shown in FIG. 6, the button 4 is presented with the two bayonet lugs 42 facing the parts of two cylindrical segments 35 without the projections 351. The bayonet lugs 42 fit inside two cylindrical segments 35 (see also fig. 8) and the two studs 332 of two hatches 33 in the groove 43 of the button 4. By turning the button 4 by approximately 45 °, the bayonet lugs 42 engage in the grooves 352 under the parts 351 of two cylindrical segments 35 and the two hatches 33 move towards each other by the fact that the two studs 332 slide in the groove 43 of the bottom 4. Thus, the bottom 4, the hatches 33 and the button 4 form an inseparable assembly as long as the the knob is not turned 45 ° in the opposite direction. By turning knob 4 beyond 45 ° the hatches get closer again. The limit of rotation of the button 4 is reached when the two bayonet lugs 42 abut against the doors 33.
After obtaining this "bottom hatch-button" assembly, the bottom 4 can be fixed to the watch case 1 by the screws 331 or other usual means. If the bottom 4 is not removable but comes in one piece with the watch case, the hatches 33 and the button 4 can be assembled in the same way on the bottom. In fig. 11 shows the watch case 1 closed by the bottom 3 on which the button 4 has been turned completely so that the ends 331 of the hatches leave the grooves 11 of two horns 11 free. It suffices to place the rods 21 of the bracelet in the grooves and turn the button 4 in the opposite direction so that the hatches 33 move away from one another and their ends 331 come to the position shown in FIG. 1. In the case of the watch case described, the hatches 33 abut against the ends of two horns 11 to stop their movement towards the outside.
To avoid that when changing a bracelet 2 the user rotates in one direction or the other the button 4 more than necessary and to prevent the button accidentally turns and releases the bracelet 2, the inventors have provided three solutions:
The first is the use of two ball pawls 12 (Fig. 1, 7) housed in the horns 11 and which collaborate with two blind holes located on the ends 331 of the hatches 33 which face them. When the ball pawl is engaged in the second hole from the end 331, we are at the end of displacement towards the outside. By turning the button 4 to release the grooves 111 the first blind hole of the hatch will snap onto the ball pawl 12 which indicates that the hatches have been brought close enough (see fig. 11) and the grooves 111 are discoveries. To overcome the action of the ball pawl 12 when it is in one of the hatch holes, apply sufficient torque to be able to move the hatches from one position to the other, thus eliminating accidental rotation of the button 4.
The second solution is to use a lock 38 (Fig. 9). Is placed in a slide 36 of the bottom 3 provided with a pad 37 a hatch 38 whose radial displacement is limited by the presence of the pad 37 and a groove 381 of the hatch 38. One of the cylindrical segments 35 is interrupted at a place 39 making it possible to bring in the interior end of the hatch 38 beyond the interior wall of the cylindrical segment 35. When the bracelet 2 is put in place and after having turned the button 4 so that the hatches 33 move away and cover the two grooves 111, one of the bayonet lugs 42 will be at position A in FIG. 9. By pushing radially the hatch 38, its end will return to the space 39 and will prevent the button 4 from turning in the other direction. When the user wants to change the bracelet 2, he will pull out the hatch 38, he will turn the button 4 to release the grooves 111. After having put the new bracelet in place, he will turn the button 4 in the opposite direction and push the hatch inwards to block the rotation of the button 4.
The third solution is illustrated in FIG. 10. The bottom 3 includes in its thickness a recess 36 'in which a ratchet spring 37' will be housed. The button 4 is provided with a lug on its face located on the side of the bottom which will engage in the ratchet spring 37 'and will prevent any accidental rotation of the button 4.
