专利说明:

Description [0001] The present invention refers to a rotary hook (in the capsule version) for a lockstitch sewing machine (with a needle thread and a bobbin thread), both for family use and for industrial use, which includes means for reducing its noise caused by the play between the capsule and the looper basket.
[0002] The invention also relates to a knotted-stitch sewing machine comprising such a rotary crochet hook comprising means for reducing its noise caused by the play between the cap and the looper basket.
[0003] The rotary hook can be of the type with horizontal rotation axis or of the type with vertical rotation axis.
[0004] Lock-stitch sewing machines and the relative rotary hooks are well known and therefore will not be described here, where it is limited to recalling that the rotary hook, in the capsule version, comprises at least one crochet body, which is connected to a shaft from which it receives the motion and which comprises a circular cavity of the crochet body, a basket free to rotate inside the circular cavity of the crochet body and which in turn comprises a sump of the basket, a ring which contributes to fasten the basket to the looper body and a capsule which is housed in the well of the basket and which helps to bind the bobbin to the basket.
[0005] The shaft can be integral with the body of the looper or housed in a hole present at the center of the circular cavity of the looper body.
[0006] The capsule containing the bobbin with the bobbin thread is assembled and disassembled by the operator of the sewing machine at each change of the bobbin, by means of an axial translation, in which the external diameter of the capsule is inserted with radial play inside of the internal diameter of the basket well and the shank of the basket, if present, is inserted with radial play in the central hole of the stem of the capsule (there are in fact some embodiments in which the capsule and the basket do not have the central stem in order to allow use of bobbins without a central hole). The angular reference for the correct assembly of the capsule on the basket is given by the coupling with angular backlash between a projection on the internal diameter of the basket well and a guide, parallel to the axis of the hook, obtained on the outer diameter of the capsule. The axial constraint of the capsule on the basket to prevent accidental disassembly during sewing, takes place through the slide of the capsule which engages on the basket with axial clearance. The linkage created by the latch on the slide allows the operator to release the slide, and therefore the capsule, from the axial constraint on the basket to allow disassembly of the capsule.
[0007] The basket is constrained to the looper body by a protruding area, made on its outer surface, which engages in a track, made in the inner wall of the circular cavity of the crochet body, which prevents the axial and radial translation of the basket with respect to to the looper body, but not rotation.
[0008] The track of the looper body and the protruding area of the basket must be interrupted for a certain angular sector to allow the passage of the needle thread and the formation of the stitch: such interruptions prevent the use of bearings, forcing a coupling of the sliding type (i.e. with sliding friction) between the track of the looper body and the protruding area of the basket and also constitute, during the rotation of the looper body, a source of noise due to the play existing between the protruding area of the basket and the track of the crochet body and their usual constitution in metallic materials. These sources of noise, note, and possible means to reduce it have already been studied (see, for example, Italy Patent n. 1 392 162; EPO nr. 09 176 587.5).
[0009] Patent US-A-5 351 636 deals with the problem of the reduction of the friction coefficient between the basket and the crochet body, without taking into consideration the problem of the noise generated by the hooks. Furthermore, the clearance between the capsule and the basket is not even taken into consideration since it does not contribute to the friction between the basket and the hook body. For this reason, the noise generated by the clearance between the capsule and the basket is not considered or influenced by the said patent.
[0010] The Italian patent 1 392 162 (or EPO 09 176 587.5 or US 8 342 110) describes a rotary crochet comprising means adapted to reduce the noise caused by the play between the basket and the crochet body. This aim is achieved by means suitable for applying to the basket an axial stress which forces the protruding zone of the basket to rest on one of the two flat surfaces of the track present in the circular cavity of the crochet body, instead of vibrating freely in this track due to the play always present between said protruding zone and said track. This axial stress has the effect of stabilizing the basket, preventing it from vibrating and resonating. On the other hand, this patent does not concern in any way the noise generated by the play existing between the capsule and the crochet basket.
[0011] Patent US 7 171 914 (ο EP 1 640 490) describes a vertical-axis looper in which the basket and the body of the looper are made of synthetic material (synthetic résiné) and the basket is constrained to the looper body by elements magnetic inserted in the bottom wall of the basket and at the bottom of the circular cavity of the crochet body, allowing to simplify the structure of the hook (for example the ring and the "C" shaped track made in the inner wall of the circular cavity of the body are not provided crochet) and to reduce production costs. The described magnets therefore serve to constrain to the crochet body a basket made of synthetic material, which otherwise would be free to float, due to the simplification of the structure of the looper ("L" -shaped track instead of the "C" -shaped runway and relative absence ring). This invention does not relate to the problem of the noise level between the drum (inner rotary hook) and the capsule, since the capsule is not present in this rotary hook and the bobbin is housed directly in the basket.
[0012] The patent US 4429 649 describes a hook for sewing machine for family use where the basket (called "housing of the capsule") is constrained by a protruding area, made in the outer surface of the basket, which engages in a track to L 'realized in the inner wall of the circular cavity of the crochet body and delimited by a single flat surface and by a cylindrical surface perpendicular to the flat one, able to prevent only the radial translation of the basket in the circular cavity of the crochet body. This basket is free to float in the axial direction and a magnet placed on the bottom of the circular cavity of the hook body allows the tension of the lower thread to be adjusted. Also this patent, as the previously mentioned US patent 7 171 914, refers to a rotary hook in execution without capsule.
[0013] The present invention relates to another source of noise, which is discovered, cited and treated for the first time and the means to reduce the noise generated by it. This other source of noise is due to the clearances (radial, angular and axial) existing between the capsule and the crochet basket and their usual constitution in metallic materials. Such games, necessary for the assembly and disassembly of the capsule at each change of bobbin, also allow the capsule, once mounted, to move slightly inside the basket during rotation of the looper body, causing additional noise. Both these noises are enhanced by vibrations and resonance phenomena and are made worse by the passage of the needle thread during sewing, which tugs and tends to move the basket from its natural position. In fact, these noises are very low in the no-load operation (without wire) of the sewing machine.
[0014] The present invention deals only with the means to reduce the noise caused by this second source of noise, identified and described for the first time in the present text, that is the one due to the play existing between the capsule and the crochet basket. It is therefore a merit of the present invention to have identified and conceptually separated this source of noise from the other noise sources present in the looper and in the sewing machine, even before having found the means to reduce the noise generated by this source.
[0015] At the present state of the art, it is not possible to eliminate such clearances that allow easy assembly of the capsule on the basket and the causes of the noise cannot be eliminated by adopting suitable geometric shapes and / or imposing more restrictive dimensional tolerances, which would in any case increase the production cost of the rotary hook.
[0016] The purpose of the present invention is therefore to provide a rotary hook comprising means designed to reduce the noise caused by the clearances between the capsule and the basket, within insignificant noise limits with respect to the noise of the sewing machine.
[0017] This aim has been achieved by means of the rotary looper object of the independent claim 1.
[0018] Further advantageous characteristics form the object of the dependent claims.
[0019] Essentially, the rotary hook according to the invention comprises at least one means, integral with the basket or integral with the capsule, which creates a sufficient friction between the capsule and the basket to prevent the capsule from moving and vibrating freely inside the games always present between said capsule and said basket, when they are mounted, however allowing easy assembly / disassembly of the capsule respectively with a slight additional axial pressure / traction with respect to the normal assembly / disassembly (pressure to be exerted obviously after having released the slide, as for known rotary hooks).
[0020] This friction, in a preferred embodiment, is exerted by an elastic means, which is deformed during the assembly of the capsule and has the effect of stabilizing the capsule, preventing its movement, vibration and resonance. To obtain this effect, the elastic medium at rest (ie with the capsule removed) must occupy a volume which creates a coupling with interference between the capsule and the basket. The assembly of the capsule transforms the elastic medium until an exact coupling is obtained. Furthermore, the presence of the elastic medium, regardless of its deformation, also creates a shock absorber effect, absorbing vibrations and reducing residual noise.
[0021] In each embodiment it is preferable to have the means that create the friction, on the larger diameters (i.e. on the external diameter of the capsule or on the inner diameter of the well of the basket, rather than on the diameter of the shank of the basket or on the diameter of the hole of the shank) of the capsule), in that not only the friction force is important, but also the torque which derives from it and which is determined by said force and by the arm between the Tasse of the capsule and the point of application of said force. Due to the moment of inertia of the complete capsule of the bobbin with the thread, and the fact that the capsule is constrained with play on the shank of the basket and / or on the internal diameter of the well of the basket, which act as a pivot, the capsule also tends to rotate and vibrate around its own axis, as well as having axial and radial movements. For this reason, a friction force applied near the axis of the capsule, even though it may be adequate to eliminate the axial movements of the capsule, always allowing easy assembly / disassembly of the capsule, is not suitable instead to create a couple sufficient to avoid movements and vibrations of the capsule around its axis; therefore the problem of noise would only be partially improved.
[0022] An advantage of the rotary looper object of the present invention is that it can be applied to all existing sewing machines without having to modify their sewing members and without requiring any modification to a commercially available sewing machine.
[0023] Furthermore, a rotary hook made according to the invention is completely interchangeable with a known rotary crochet, does not provide for any modification of the areas destined for the passage of the thread and contains in itself all the constructive characteristics necessary to implement the invention.
[0024] The invention will now be described with reference to exemplary but non-limiting embodiments, described in the attached figures, where: fig. 1 schematically shows an exploded view of a rotary hook complete with a known capsule; fig. 2 schematically shows the rotary hook of fig. 1 assembled and sectioned with a plane passing through its rotation axis; fig. 3-7 show schematically different embodiments of the basket of a rotary hook according to the invention, in which elastic means are provided which, when deformed by the assembly of the capsule, create a friction on the capsule to reduce the noise caused by the games between the capsule and drum; fig. 8 schematically shows the capsule and the basket of the rotary hook of fig. 1, known, disassembled and sectioned with a plane passing through the axis of rotation of the hook; fig. 9 schematically shows another embodiment of the capsule and the basket of the rotary plate of fig. 1 for bobbins without central hole, known, disassembled and sectioned with a plane passing through the axis of rotation of the hook; fig. 10 schematically shows a different embodiment of the capsules of fig. 8 and 9 according to the invention, in which a bevel is provided to facilitate the deformation of the elastic means during the assembly of the capsule on the basket, when this is in correspondence with the internal diameter of the drum well; fig. 11 shows schematically a different embodiment of the capsule of fig. 8 according to the invention, in which a bevel is provided to facilitate the deformation of the elastic means during the assembly of the capsule on the basket, when this is in correspondence with the stem of the basket; fig. 12 schematically shows a different embodiment of the capsules of fig. 8 and 9 according to the invention, in which a bevel is provided to facilitate the deformation of the elastic means during the assembly of the capsule on the basket, when this is constituted by the protrusion on the inner diameter of the basket of the basket, which cooperates with the guide , parallel to the axis of the looper, formed on the outer diameter of the capsule, for the correct angular reference for the assembly of the capsule on the basket; fig. 13a-e shows in plan some possible embodiments of the elastic means represented in section in fig. 3; the pairs of fig. 14-15, 16-17 and 18-19 respectively show in cross section and other view other different embodiments from the capsule and the basket of a rotary crochet according to the invention, in which elastic means are provided which when deformed by the assembly of the capsule, they create a friction on the capsule to reduce the noise caused by the games between the capsule and the basket. [0025] In the attached figures, the corresponding elements will be identified with the same numerical references.
[0026] Fig. 1 schematically shows an exploded view of a rotary looper 1 with a horizontal axis «a» of known rotation, in which only the elements relevant for the purposes of the present description have been identified with numerical references: - a looper body 2, comprising a circular cavity 11 which, in the example shown, has a central hole 17 (Fig. 2) adapted to receive a shaft (omitted for simplicity of graphic representation) from which the looper receives the motion; in a different embodiment (whose graphic representation is omitted), the shaft is integral with the hook 1; - a basket 6, free to rotate inside the circular cavity 11 to which it is constrained by a protruding area 14, formed on the outer surface of the basket 6 and comprising: a sump 18 of the basket 6 in which the capsule 8 of bobbin 4 is housed , an internal diameter 19 of the enclosing recess 18 of the basket 6 into which the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 is inserted, a protrusion 21 on the internal diameter 19 of the said well 18 of the basket 6 which fits together with the guide 22 (in the figures are indicated with 22 the edges of said guide) on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8 allows the angular reference of the capsule 8 for the correct assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6, a possible stem 23 on which the hole 24 of the stem 25 is inserted (fig. 2) of the capsule 8; - a track 10, made in the inner wall of the circular cavity 11 of the crochet body 2 and bounded by two flat surfaces parallel to each other and by a cylindrical surface perpendicular to the flat ones, in which the projecting area 14 of the basket 6 engages to prevent the axial and radial translation of the basket 6 into the circular cavity 11, but leaving it free to rotate; - a capsule 8 housed in the well 18 of the basket 6, complete with slide 15 for the axial constraint of the capsule 8 on the basket 6 to prevent accidental disassembly during sewing, of bolt 16 which with the everism created on the slide 15 allows the operator to release the slide 15, and therefore the capsule 8, from the axial constraint on the basket 6 to allow the disassembly of the capsule 8 and of the spring tension 9 to give tension to the bobbin thread (of which the graphic representation is omitted) wound on the bobbin 4 housed inside the capsule 8. Furthermore, the guide 22 is present on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8 and parallel to the axis «a», which, by coupling with the projection 21 on the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6, allows the reference angular for the correct assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6. The assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6 takes place by means of a free translation along the shroud «a» of the capsule 8, in a coupling with play and after the guide 22 on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 and parallel to the axis «a», has been rotated to the angular correspondence with the projection 21 on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6; the accidental disassembly is prevented by the axial constraint created by the slide 15 which engages in the basket 6; - a bobbin 4, on which the bobbin thread is wound (not shown), is housed in the capsule 8 and is constrained inside the basket 6 by the assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6.
[0027] Fig. 2 schematically shows the rotary hook 1 of fig. 1, known, assembled and sectioned with a plane passing through its rotation axis "a"; in fig. 2 shows the crochet body 2 comprising the circular cavity 11, the protruding area 14 of the basket 6, the track 10 of the crochet body in which the protruding region 14 of the basket 6 is engaged, and the central hole 17 of the circular cavity 11 suitable for accept a tree (omitted for simplicity of graphic representation) from which the crochet 1 receives the motion; in a different embodiment (not shown), instead, the shaft can also be integral with the hook 1; the capsule 8 and the bobbin 4 are also visible. The same section used for the fig. 2 is also used for the other Figures, except for fig. 7, 16 and 18 which are perpendicular and are shaped according to the section A-A of fig. 2. Finally the fig. 15 is made on a section slightly rotated in plan in a counter-clockwise direction with respect to the section AA, to represent the elastic element in correspondence with the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6, where said diameter 19 is developed for its entire height, up to at the upper edge of the basket.
[0028] The rotary crochet 1 object of the present invention comprises means suitable to create a friction between the capsule 8 and the basket 6, able to cancel the clearances between the capsule 8 and the basket 6 and prevent the relative vibration and the consequent noise.
[0029] In a preferred embodiment of a rotary hook 1 according to the invention, schematically described in figs. 3-7 and 13, the means for creating this clutch comprise at least one elastic element integral with the basket 6 of the hook 1, which can: A) Be constituted by an annular elastic element 30 (in its simplest embodiment it is a Ring-Ring ) housed in a circular slot 31 formed in the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 (Fig. 3) which is deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the outer diameter 20 of said capsule 8. This elastic element 30 can be provided different shapes and be made of different materials. These variations are part of the detailed changes within the reach of a person skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of the invention itself. By way of non-limiting example, some examples of embodiment of said elastic element are shown in plan (fig. 13), where the first 30a can also be constituted by a known rubber O-Fting, while the following 30b, 30c , 30d, 30e are alternative configurations of an elastic metal wire (preferably made of spring steel). By means of a suitable form of said elastic element it is also possible to create outer dimensions 32 which, by coupling with suitable niches formed on the diameter of the circular slot 31 of the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6, angularly constrain said elastic element and prevent it -no of rotating within said circular groove 31. B) Being constituted by an annular elastic element 40 (in its simplest embodiment is a Ring-ring) housed in a circular hollow 41 formed in the stem of the basket (fig. 4) which is deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the internal diameter of the hole 24 of the shank 25 of the said capsule 8. C) Consisting of two or more annular elastic elements 50 (in the simplest embodiment they are Ο-Rings) to the lodges in respective circular slots 52 formed in the shank 23 of the basket 6 (Fig. 5) which are deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the internal diameter of the hole 24 of the shank 25 of said capsule-type 8. D) Consisting of one or more elements 60, 61 of elastic material for compression and fixed (for example in-grooves or glued or affixed as a coating) on the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 which are deformed in the mounting the capsule 8 from the outer diameter 20 of said capsule 8. In fig. 6 are shown, purely by way of a non-limiting example, respectively two cylindrical-shaped elements 60 embedded in respective seats formed on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 and two elements of elastic material of rectangular shape 61 glued on the diameter inside 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6. E) It consists of one or more elements 70 of elastic compression material which constitute the projection 21 on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 for the angular coupling with the guide 22 on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 which are deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the edges of said guide 22 on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8. Fig. 7 represents a section A-A (see fig. 2) perpendicular to that used for all the others fig. 2-6 and 8-13.
[0030] In another preferred embodiment of a rotary looper 1 according to the invention, the means for creating this clutch comprise at least one elastic element integral with the cap 8 of the looper 1. Such at least one elastic element integral with the capsule 8 it can be constituted by one or more elements 60 of elastic material to the compression and fixed (for example stuck or glued or affixed as covering) on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8 which are deformed in the assembly of the basket 6 from the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 basket 6. In fig. 6 shows, purely by way of a non-limiting example, an element of elastic material of rectangular shape 61 glued on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8 (this is the same graphical representation previously used, due to the fact that the same element can indifferently be glued on the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 or on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8). In another preferred embodiment of a rotary hook 1 according to the invention, at least one elastic element integral with the capsule 8 can be constituted by a covering made of non-metallic material of the whole capsule 8 or of the outer diameter only 20 of the capsule 8 for all its circumference and for all its height development or, again, only for a portion of the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8, constituted by the development over the entire circumference of only a portion of the height, preferably comprising the edge lower 80 (fig. 8). This latest embodiment can be easily obtained by partial immersion of the capsule in the bathroom of the coating and also brings with it the advantage of also covering part of the internal diameter of the capsule 8 in the area where it is coupled with the bobbin 4, thus reducing the noise generated also by the clearance between capsule 8 and bobbin 4.
[0031] In other embodiments (Figs. 14-19), at least one elastic element integral with the capsule 8 can be constituted by one or more elastic elements projecting from the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 which are deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 or from a niche formed in said internal diameter 19.
[0032] In fig. 14 is shown in section, purely by way of a non-limiting example, an elastic element 130 (for example made of metal sheet) which is fixed to the capsule 8 (for example by means of a screw 133) and protrudes from the external diameter 20 of the capsule and créa a pressure on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 or on a niche 131 formed in said inner diameter 19 and which is facilitated in the assembly by an invitation 132 made on the upper edge of the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket. In fig. 15 shows only the capsule 8 (without basket 6) in the same embodiment in the lateral view from B, as indicated in fig. 14.
[0033] In other embodiments, at least one elastic element integral with the capsule 8 can be constituted by one or more elastic elements made in a single piece on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule, which are possibly provided with a protrusion from said outer diameter 20 of the capsule and which are deformed in the assembly of the capsule 8 from the internal diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 or from a niche formed in said internal diameter 19.
[0034] In fig. 16 is shown in section, purely by way of a non-limiting example, an elastic element 140 made in a single piece on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8, 8b, which comprises a protrusion 143 from the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8, which is a pressure on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 or on a niche 141 formed in said inner diameter 19 and which is facilitated in the assembly by an invitation 142 made on the projection 143 from the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8. In Fig. 17 shows only the capsule 8 (without basket 6) in the same embodiment in a lateral view from C, as indicated in fig. 16.
[0035] In fig. 18 are shown in section, purely by way of a non-limiting example, several elastic elements 150 made in a single piece on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8, which create a pressure on a projection 151 made on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 and which are facilitated in assembly by an invitation 152 made on the external diameter 20 of the capsule and similar to that of fig. 10. For simplicity of construction it is possible to realize the protrusion 151 on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6, in circular form (ie for the whole development of the diameter 19) and to realize a drain 153 on the external diameter 20 of the capsule 8 for all arc of circumference where the elastic elements 150 have not been made. In fig. 19 shows only the capsule 8 (without basket 6) in the same embodiment in the lateral view from D, as indicated in fig. 18.
[0036] Fig. 8 shows schematically the only sub-assembly 5 of the rotary hook 1 of fig. 1, known, sectioned on the same plane passing through the rotation axis «a» like in fig. 2. The following are visible: - the basket 6 comprising a well 18 of the basket 6 able to house the capsule 8 complete with a bobbin 4, an internal diameter 19 delimiting said well 18 of the basket 6 into which the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 is inserted, a projection 21 on the inner diameter 19 of said well 18 of the basket 6 which, coupling with the guide 22 on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8, allows the angular reference of the capsule 8 for the correct assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6, a shank 23 on which the hole 24 of the stem 25 of the capsule 8 is inserted; - a capsule 8, complete with slider 15 and bolt 16 and comprising an outer diameter 20 with a lower edge 80, a guide 22 on the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 and parallel to the axis "a", which coupling with the projection 21 on the inner diameter 19 of the well 18 of the basket 6 allows the angular reference for the correct assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6, two spokes 82 on the edge between the edges of the guide 22 and the lower edge 80 of the outer diameter 20 of the capsule 8 to facilitate the angular coupling, a shank 25 with a coaxial hole 24 and a lower edge 81 of said hole 24. - a bobbin 4, on which the bobbin thread 7 is wrapped, which must be housed in the capsule 8 and is then constrained inside of the basket 6 from the assembly of the capsule 8 on the basket 6.
[0037] Fig. 9, like the previous fig. 8, shows schematically the only sub-assembly 5 of the rotary hook 1 of fig. 1, this time however in the execution, also known, for bobbins 4b without a central hole, sectioned on the same plane passing through the rotation axis «a» like in fig. 2. These known bobbins 4b are generally composed of only bobbin thread 7 pre-wrapped and compacted, so as not to require a metal or synthetic core. The output of the bobbin thread 7 from the bobbin 4b generally takes place axially, rather than tangentially as for the traditional bobbins 4.
