The invention relates to an electronic key with a comprehensive transponder and an antenna electronic component for capacitive data transmission, wherein at least a portion of the electronic components are arranged on a circuit board. For some years, capacitive data transmission has been successfully used in the field of access systems (e.g., DE 10 2008 020 726 A1). The capacitive data transmission uses an electric field that allows transmission over several centimeters distance. The system operating on the basis of the capacitive data transmission consists of an electronic key in which a so-called transponder is accommodated, and an electronic access point, which may be a lock, a cylinder, a double-knob cylinder, a wall scanner, an access control or the like. The antennas of such a system are designed as electrically conductive surfaces. Such transponders are relatively large. In this case, an electrically conductive sheet is used as the antenna, which is glued into the transponder cap. The contact to the transmitting / receiving part on the board represents e.g. a conductive rubber. The surface is oriented in such a way that, when used as standard, the surface normal points in the direction of the surface normal of the receiving antenna in the access point. Such transponders have a relatively large housing and are manufactured in a complex assembly. The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide an electronic key that is easier to assemble at least the same transmission and reception services and has a smaller size. This object is achieved with an electronic key of the type mentioned in the present invention that the antenna is located on the outer board contour. The inventive device uses a on the board, in particular the board edge, applied antenna for capacitive data transmission. In order not to lose any placement space on the board, the antenna is located on the outer board contour. This eliminates the previous installation of the antenna in the housing cover and the conductive connection between the board and the antenna plate. The new design of the transponder housing can now be manufactured and assembled cheaper. The housing dimensions are smaller, since no separate antenna must be accommodated in the housing cover, that is, the invention is associated with a reduced installation effort and with a lower cost of materials. The antenna is thus part of the board. In a further development it is provided that the antenna is at least partially encircling. The most suitable areas of the board for the antenna can be used. The capacitive coupling to the ground layer and power supply layer is kept small. According to the invention, the antenna is located on the top, the bottom and / or the side surface. In particular, the side surface is preferred because then the surface normal of the antenna is aligned in the direction of the antenna normal of the access point, whereby the electric field is better aligned and thus a higher range can be achieved. In a further development of the electronic key, the antenna is annular. As a result, the range of the transponder is almost the same in all directions. In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the antenna is segmented. The transmission system thus automatically switches over to the segment with the best transmission characteristic. Fig. 1 shows two embodiments of an electronic key 10, namely with and without additional key shank 12 for the mechanical actuation of a castle. This key 10 is e.g. used to operate door, gate and window locks. The key shank 12 protrudes from a key housing 14 in which inter alia electronic components 16, a battery 18 and a circuit board 20 (see FIG. 2) are accommodated. For actuation, the housing 14 has an elastic region. In FIGS. 2 to 4, the circuit board 20 is shown with the electronic components 16 placed thereon. The board 20 has an upper side 22, a lower side 24 and a side edge 26 and can be equipped on both sides. The side edge 26 is formed to support an annular antenna 28. In this case, the antenna 28 may be glued, printed or otherwise secured. The antenna 28 takes up any space on the top 22 and the bottom 24 of the board 20, which is why the housing 14 can be kept smaller in size and the assembly is easier due to the smaller number of components.
